Called after sent written cease of comm
Complaint: The loan company has been giving my information to my spouse which is illegal in the state of South Carolina. After I have called them to request a payoff, they are refusing to give it to me due to the current situation I have discussed w/ them. I have called them 2 times within a 30 minute period for my payoff & they keep putting me on hold & then saying they have it taken care of. 3 hours later, no payoff faxed to me or no phone call back to let me know what info I have requested.

Complaint: I currently have a loan with OneMain Financial and I am behind in my payments. They consistently call my phone - at least 4 times per day. Twice in the morning and again twice in the evening. I was able to answer a call on Saturday, XX/XX/2016 around XXXX only to be chastised about not being able to speak with a representative. After explaining that I was in a rush to head out of the door but would call back to discuss a payment arrangement, I was then interrogated as to what were the exact reasons behind my financial difficulties and when could they expect a payment. After again explaining that I was in a rush and unable to speak, the representative then stated that " they had been trying to reach me and could n't understand why I did n't have time to speak with her then ''. I then informed her that I did n't have time to speak with them b/c I was busy trying to find a way with work in order to pay the outstanding balance. At that point I again mentioned that I would return their call and ended the conversation. I understand that there is a balance due but this company has constantly harassed and threatened me and my fiance regarding our account. We have been paying down an account we opened years ago and still have more than half remaining. Their accounting figures do n't match what we 've paid and on top of that, they are n't easy to deal with. Given the nature of the economy and so many people having difficulties, it would be thoughtful enough of this company to not only provide training to their representatives regarding accounting practices but simple courtesy and compassion could go a long way. The constant phone calls and veiled threats to send the account to " legal '' - whatever that may entail - are over zealous and obnoxious. I have done a lot of research online regarding their company and their practices and it has considerably gone down over the years that I have had the account. My goal is to find any way possible to pay off this account and I will NEVER open another account with them again and WOULD NOT recommend anyone to use this account no matter how dire the circumstances.

Complaint: About 12 years ago we took out a loan with XXXX, they sold it to Springleaf. We went to XXXX to get a loan to pay them off as they were charging us over 23 % interest daily, and so we hopefully were going to have that loan paid off. We paid off the balance due, however, they sold the loan to OneMain who sent us another bill sating we owed further funds and that they charge 23.23 % interest daily. if that is the case then we would almost never be able to pay off this loan. I believe that this is wrong and that they should cease and desist their unfair practices.

Complaint: I have a loan with Springleaf Financial services through the XXXX Ohio Branch.. I have had financial difficulty for a few months and have not been able to pay my agreed payment in a timely matter. The branch manager called me at work XX/XX/XXXX I believe. I work for a collection agency and all of our phones are on a recorded line. I ask him to not call me at work do to the recorded line and told him I would call him back. He continued to discuss my default on this call, I hung up on him. When I got off work I called him, I explained to him about the recorded lines and that all collection agencies have them. He said " that 's not true my lines are n't recorded and I am calling to collect on your loan '' and giggled. I again ask him not to call me at work. He said ok and thanked me for scheduling a payment. On XX/XX/2016 he ( XXXX ) called my work again and left a message with a co- worker to have me call him. I should not have received another call at my work number after telling him XX/XX/XXXX not to call me at work..

Complaint: I have a title loan with Springleaf financial who was bought out by One Main Financial. I have been paying extra to get my loan down. When I was discussing a payment with them the other day they told me that I had {$180.00} sitting there waiting to become a full payment. I sent them this money over time to reduce my loan amount. They kept it separate allowing them to charge me interest on my account. If they would have applied that money to my account then less interest would have been charged to me. This does not seem fair be it seems like they are taking money from me instead of applying that amount to my account.

Complaint: One Main Financial in XXXX, Ohio falsely wrote the value of my home at {$37000.00}. When I said NO, that 's incorrect, he was dishonest and said he got it from the County Auditor 's site.
The value of my home is {$56000.00} on the County Auditor 's site and the attached land is {$4000.00} for a total of {$60000.00}. NOT {$37000.00}! That 's a difference of {$23000.00}!
This was done purposely! I was not feeling well at all that day and did NOT realize it had n't been changed to the CORRECT value as I had asked that it be.
I am on XXXX ... XXXX.
This is yet ONE MORE WAY that people with XXXX and usually with low incomes are taken advantage of!
It needs to STOP. I had an average credit score, not a poor one, and equity in my home.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I took out a loan to refinance my XXXX Buick Encore from One Main Financial, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CO XXXX with XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX called and stated several times that she could consolidate the signature loan I had at the time and the new refinanced auto loan. She said I qualified for a good rate and could pay off my car in less time as my loan with XXXX XXXX. She said that my payment would be about XXXX per month in total. I went in on XX/XX/XXXX to do paperwork on the loan. On this date XXXX XXXX stated that I also qualified for an additional XXXX within the confines of the loan. She spoke and spoke a lot and I signed the papers as she printed them off.
The following week, I received papers indicating the payoff of the pre-existing loan. Then on or about XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from a women at the branch who would not identify herself. She said she was the manager and that the loan I received did not payoff the existing loan and that they would continue to take payments for that loan and for the new loan. She said that I had until XX/XX/XXXX to return the XXXX and the loan would be null and void. I had used the funds to pay legal fees so I did not have the funds. This women belittled me and stated that if I had read the loan documents I would know that the total loan would have been closer to XXXX. I would have returned the funds easily if I would have been called the XX/XX/XXXX. I am currently paying this company nearly XXXX per month. I feel I was a victim of fraud and mislead. I feel I was pursued with malice.
I was also zealously encouraged to purchase the life insurance policy.
I have suffered XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX and have been so impacted by this. I only now have been able to take the papers out and look at them. I have been making the payments faithfully.
