Complaint: I applied for a loan with spring lead financial and borrowed XXXX they are including interest to the bureau that shows a balance of XXXX. No other credit company has even reported or included interest to a bureau. It 's not fair. It 's not accurate and it damages u when applying for a loan because the debt to loan income is not accurate which results n a denial from whom ur asking credit for. I have disputed this with bureaus and also they personal they reporting it 's correct well it 's not. I also have a loan with XXXX and few other XXXX they do n't include adding interest to a credit bureau .and the amt they said is correct on bureau do n't even match they automatic recording when u call. Complaint: I purchased a home in XX/XX/XXXX with a cash purchase with a settlement from a accident. I lost my husband and XXXX. In about XX/XX/XXXX I got a loan from America General for about XXXX and it grew to XXXX 7 years. Not sure how the loan grew because I was under Doctors care and taking strong pain medication. Made payments on time but never saw the debt reducing. Then I lost my sister who was helping me pay bills and in and out of the hospital myself for months at a time. So I got my niece involved and starting asking for documents to show how the loan grew once it was brought by Springleaf Financial. We was told that all paperwork was in the archives and no one never got back to us after being told they would collect the information. Then months later debt was brought by another company, then another company which now XXXX XXXX XXXX has it, since XX/XX/XXXX. Now I 'm dealing with trying to keep my home from Foreclosure for the amount of XXXX. I really do n't clearly understand how the loan grew to be so large, not sure if the medication caused me not to remember, but I do n't recall borrowing up to XXXX.At the time I was n't sure of what kind of loan I had. Then Springleaf never got the requested paperwork that I ask the branch manager to get for me. I do recall going back a couple of times for small loans never no more than XXXX at a time. But I 'm not absolutely sure that I borrowed up to XXXX. And all the years Ive paid on it, it never decreased. I 'm on a fixed income receiving my XXXX and my late husband '' s. I get a total of XXXX a month.

Complaint: I had my credit score ran 2 times by Spring Leaf and I never gave authorization to run my credit. When I called the office they gave me another number to call. When I called that number, they looked up my account and said I had to send them proof or they were not going to take it away. They said it really was n't on there, but when I looked on my credit report it was, 2 times.they blew off my complaint by minimizing my findings, saying it was n't on there the credit report is wrong, I had to tell them multiple times. This was around XXXX, I threatened to contact cfpb and hung up the phone ... ..now near XXXX same day, I checked and the inquiries are gone, but the fact is they STILL ran my credit without my persmission and I think they need some sort of repercussion.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/16, I contacted a financial services company to request a personal loan. We processed the application and I was issued a disbursement check for {$3.00}, XXXX ; after which I deposited into my checking account. I recontacted the company within two business dates ( XXXX ), stating my intentions to cancel the loan and return the proceeds, citing a high percentage rate and my general feeling the repayment length was too excessice. I spoke with the Branch manager who assured me I could cancel the loan as long as I returned the entire amount initially advanced. Upon my arrival at the office, I delivered a cashiers ' check in the above mentioned figure and I was given a receipt. Upon closer examination of the receipt. I noted the Manager had posted the check towards the principle of the loan, rather than voiding the entire contract. I was informed since I no longer had the original check, my receipt was sufficient. I further add since I had a active account balance of {$1800.00}, prior to this new loan, the application paid off the existing loan and I was set up to make payments for four years, all totaling to over {$9000.00} plus. Since I returned the cashier 's ' check, the balance owing was now {$6000.00} plus. Once I voiced my dissatisfaction with their accounting tactics, I was reassured this figure would fall off with coming days. On XXXX, I opened mail at my home from this lender, and was horrified to see I was still listed as having a debt of {$6000.00} ; which I had specifically asked to cancel. I believed I was within my rights to negate the loan, since five business had not elapsed once I returned the cashiers ' check. Immediately I contacted the office and was told repeatedly, the manager would contact me via phone, which never materialized. After the XXXX holiday, I contacted the office and was reassured the loan app would be nullified, yet this has n't happened. Each time I try to impose my right for cancellation, I am told the {$6000.00} sum is being maintained for paper control, and I am only liable for the {$1800.00}. plus which remained on a prior balance. I contacted the headquarters of this company and verbalized my frustration and wrath in being forced to take a loan which I had clearly voided. Supposedly, the headquarters will investigate this matter within seven to fourteen days. Additionally, my duplicate set of the loan application was confiscated by the manager, so I do n't have actual documentation to contest their procedures.

Complaint: Followed an an Online Ad for Equity Loan. I own XXXX % of my property of Market Value near XXXX dollars. The loan requested is for {$2000.00}, which fits in my budget, almost at any interest rate. A brief questionnaire in thus presented, and a soft Credit Score Inquiry is performed.
And here it comes : You 're approved! One last step, finalize your application, said the email. There more info is requested, including complete SS #, bank account, routing number, online user id, password and even security question answer, insurance coverage. Not a question about my life style and spending habits or other obligations such as loans, cars, etc.
Then for conclusion, an enrollment page in myscore.com and various other online services.
Clearly, there is no intent to extend a loan whatsoever, but to collect information at my expense, for their marketing compaign. Information that is supposed to be protected.
Obviously, these people do not need my business or that of XXXX Americans they violate on a daily basis. Who knows, they may be doing it with our own money, that is money earned with sweat.
The loan is to acquire a car for another 30 hours/week job, XX/XX/XXXX.
Their customer " service '' says, that I do not have enough debt against the property - In other words, I will be able to payback the loan, is the problem!

Complaint: Springleaf has twice contacted me trying to " verify '' information regarding a relative. After the first contact I did research online to find they were only allowed to try to contact me once after I did not agree to providing information ( or confirming my relation to the individual ). Today I was again contacted by Springleaf and the representative would not verify why they were calling but simply that they wanted to collect information on the relative. After a quick XXXX search of the number I found it too was owned by Springleaf.

Complaint: Have a loan with Springleaf Financial. When loan was taken out, we were told to pay for 1yr on time and we could come back for the extra XXXX we originally asked for as we were cleaning up our credit. When that year was up, we did ask for that increase and even though my credit score had NOT CHANGED, nor had any other info really changed, I was told they are " looking at it differently and could not do the increase ''. At that time, given that they had said there would be no issue, I had made arrangements to pay off two cards one of my children left a balance on and so could not pay both those and the Springleaf. I asked for deferrment of one month of payment. Was NEVER told in writing or otherwise that there was anything else we needed to do until 3 wks later when payment was already very late. At that time, given how I was spoken to my wife contacted the corporate office of Springleaf to help get resolution. The issue was we felt this was a bait and switch situation AND the fact the manager would not let us get a call from her supervisor. Something fishy going on. Too many different things being told to us. I faxed a ton of paperwork to XXXX XXXX at the corporate office. The biggest issue now is that this company is showing us to have missed TWO PAYMENTS. One should have been defferred as they promised via email and phone and the second was actually waiting to hear back from corp office AND get the correct account number as that had changed. This is not ok and this company should not be allowed to incorrectly report this account. They are not telling the entire story which involves ME WAITING ON THEIR CALLBACK!! This account should not show a late payment at all. Plus - how the change they way they score never made sense and feels very shady. We have proven that our scores never changed. That is what the said things were based off until we asked for what they promised. I want this account to reflect the TRUTH and not late payments. We were working with them to resolve issue AND had to wait on THEM to give account number when it changed. SHOULD NOT SHOE LATE!! Please help us get the reporting accurate as this is impacting my credit. If needed I can supply names and number of person at corporate office we dealt with. This is such a bait and switch thing and it is not ok to mess up credit!
