Complaint: I currently have a personal loan with One Main .When I opened the loan it was Springs Leaf. I borrowed {$5000.00} and I have never missed a payment in a over a year. The One Main office sent me an offer to borrow {$4000.00}. I called to make an application. My income debt ratio did allow me to make the loan. I needed to make at show {$700.00}. more on my income. I called back to ask if I can apply with a cosigner. I was told they needed to live in the same household. So I called another OneMain branch and told them what I want to reapply with a cosigner and asked if the cosigner needed to live in the same household. I was told it was not necessarily. I was lied to by the loan office I tried to open my loan. I have account there now. This office is denied my loan based on a lie. Because it is not necessary for the cosigner to live in the same home coordinating to the second OneMain Branch I called.

Complaint: I applied for credit solely and when they asked for my tax returns they came back stating the only way they would make the loan to me was that my husband would have to be on it. They stated that as we file jointly they require this. I explained to them I am allowed per federal law to obtain credit solely. All income but $ XXXX is mine. I requested that the XXXX Manager call me and received no call. They are in violation of federal law for requiring my spouse to be on the loan.

Complaint: A lot of issues have started since One Main financial switched computer systems. I was behind on a loan payment which was due the XXXX. On the first they started calling me AT WORK, numerous times a day, demanding money and saying that my account was already 30 days late. When they started the new computer system, i was locked out of my account. It kept popping up an error message and to call my local branch. Customer service thru One Main financial is more than lacking. RUDE is the best way to say it. Threatening calls saying that the payment was already 30 days late and that it WILL BE ON MY CREDIT. When i explained that the payment was not yet 30 days late and it would be paid when i got paid, which would be before the XXXX, she began shouting at me YES IT IS 30 DAYS! This was on the XXXX of the month. Plainly on my statements I receive the payments are due on the XXXX of the month! The tone in which the calls were made and the frequency of the calls i feel like are total harassment. Nothing compassionate or trying to reach a resolution about these phone calls it was just flat out harassing. Numerous times she was told that the payment would be made on pay day.

Complaint: I have been the victim of identity theft and it is proven in court and the police that the perpetrators of the acts in the identity-theft are not me. I attempted to apply for a loan through a company called OneMain Financial and they have since told me of a previous loan that their company has been bought out or part of XXXX. I do n't have anything to do with XXXX and because of the identity-theft an account might be showing under my identification but it is not me. Almost a XXXX percent certain that was not my correct first name and I asked to talk to the Department and the person refused to let me talk to them. I 'm complaining because they are breaking the XXXX laws on ID theft. Have them remove my correct name and social security number and any other identifying information from their records of that previous account that has been proven to be fraudulent.

Complaint: I called to make a payment. While on the line with the rep I began asking some questions about my account ( balance, etc ). She confirmed that I had made XXXX out of XXXX payments. I advised her that her information was n't correct as my loan was for a XXXX month term. She said that she was showing XXXX. So I went home and found my contract and it clearly stated XXXX months. So I called back the next day thinking this was an error on their part and it would be corrected. Instead I was on the phone for over an hour arguing with them telling me that I had signed an agreement to change the term to XXXX months. I told them that I had never signed an agreement to add XXXX months of payments to my account as this would be CRAZY. First of all my balance has not changed, my rate has not changed and my monthly payments have not changed. Nor have I received any additional funds. Therefore, it would make no sense for me to sign anything adding XXXX additional payments to my loan. I have called a number of times to get this corrected and I am either met with arguments stating they have a signed agreement from me or I am told the matter will go to the complaint department and I will receive a call back, which I never get. To provide additional info ; there was a time when my account fell a couple of months past due. I received a phone call from their collection department wanting to know how I planned to catch the account up. I told them that I was going to double up on the payment to catch it up. They offered to help me out by saying if you agree to making 4 consecutive payments at your usual payment amount on time, after the fourth payment is made, we will remove your account out of a delinquent status and make it appear as current. I agreed to this and also set up auto debit for the four payments to make sure that they would be paid on time. They also asked to me sign a statement saying that I agree to this arrangement, which I did. However, not at any time was it ever discussed or provided in writing that I was signing any type of renewal agreeing to an additional XXXX payments. Now they are telling me that this is what I signed. I told them that this makes no sense, my account falling behind a couple of months is no justification for them adding XXXX payments to my loan. I also told them that it is possible that their collector presented falsified documents as I would have never signed anything like this. I only signed off on an agreement for the payment arrangement. Furthermore, it simply does n't make sense. I have repeatedly asked them to justify having their customer who has received no additional money to make XXXX additional payments. Mind you, my monthly payments are {$240.00} and my rate is 35 %. This was for a {$6000.00} loan. The XXXX added payments will profit them an additional {$4100.00} after the XXXX months of payments pays loan off. This is with no reasonable explanation other than them alleging that I agreed to this. I have repeatedly stated to them that this is not what I agreed to and have given opportunities for them to make it right, but they are leaning on their alleged signed papers saying I agreed to add XXXX payments when I renewed the term. Now how in the world did that help me? Again, my balance is the same, payments are the same, and rate is the same. How did a supposed renewal agreement change or help me other than to give them XXXX more payments? Please help.

Complaint: In late XXXX One Main Financial added ad account to my credit file for a loan of $ XXXX. I have never had any loans in this amount or any dealings with this organization or any of their subsidiaries. I sent One Main letters beginning in late XXXX to inform them the account was not obtained by me and it was removed. Then in early XXXX it was added back to my XXXX credit report. I have sent letters to One Main and to the CEO of Springleaf ( the parent company ) regarding this matter to request formal debt accordance with Fair Debt Collection Practices. All my letters have been acknowledge and received and I have been promised that the matter will be looked into and I will receive a response but have yet to receive any respose. Then, after acknowledging my letters I began receiving collection notices, during the period where all collection activity should have been stopped as I requested validation of the debt. I hired an attorney in XXXX XXXX who has also sent formal letters requesting validation in XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX that have gone unanswered. I have also disputed the item with the credit bureaus ( XXXX ) and it still remains. My rights as a consumer as being violated to the greatest degree and it is not only unethical but inappropriate to report false information from an account that is not mine on my credit report after being notified that the account was never opened by me multiple times by both me and my attorney.
