Complaint: My mortgage company put on my credit report that I was 31 to 60 days late on my house payment. They did the same thing 3 years ago. I had proof then and I have proof now that I was NEVER 30 days late, let alone 31 to 60 days late.
I called and they supervisor I spoke with was very rude to me about it. I stated I had proof and she refused to take it. She told me to write her a letter and then they would consider that matter but until then I 'BETTER MAKE MY PAYMENTS ' or she will make sure she continues to put negative marks on my credit report.
Last time this happened I had to file a complain and call the corporate office to get it off my credit report. I paid my account then and now, I was never 30 days late on this account.

Complaint: I am completing this because I could not add to my existing complaint XXXX.
1. I never received the written response from One Main that was sent to your agency.
2. I did close a new loan combining the XXXX loans on XX/XX/2016. The interest rate is as it should have been all along.
I was given a check for XXXX. I was told that I would receive a separate check reimbursing me for all the interest I was charged and not as promised. After closing the loan I have not been contacted. I have received only correspondence on changes to loans.
3. I believe that interest should have been deducted and that amount should have been financed.
4. What are their intentions regarding the interest.
5. I spoke to XXXX in Customer XXXX for One Main. She is the person who contacted me and facilitated the offers. She and the branch manager told me I would get a separate check for the interest in question. XXXX also mentioned I would get something for my treatment and duress. When I called her later she told me she was leaving and the only thing I would get is the interest payment. The branch manager stated that it would take time to calculate what was to be given back to me. I believe his name is XXXX.
I have a document that I would like the CFPB include in my complaint. I would like fax to send in. I can not seem to attach to this document.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2014 I refinanced a loan with One Main Financial. Unfortunately, the details of the interest rate and term of loan was not clearly disclosed. I was experiencing some very difficult times and made a mistake in taking out this loan. This predatory loan company had sent re-loan offer letters and had called me on how they would like to help. When I first received this loan they changed my end of month payment date to mid month. I immediately requested for it to be changed back. The loan officer indicated that they could change it after my first payment. After continued requests over a year and half, they finally changed it. Although, payments were made within 30 days and before late charges I was charged more interest and most of the time payments were credited to only the interest. Are there any regulation or is there a cap on what loan companies can charge? I am a XXXX and feel I am being taken advantage of. I have paid over {$5000.00} on a {$7800.00} loan and still owe over {$6000.00}. Also, I have always called in my payments and for the last several months when I attempt to call in my payments call go to voicemail. Because they have caller ID I believe this is a ploy to have you to be late with payment. The latter they receive the payment the more interest can be charged. Initially, it was clearly disclosed that I would be required to pay a daily interest rate. I continue to receive unsolicited letters, emails and phone calls to re-loan or happy for lower interest rate. The female staff that called me indicated that I might eligible to receive a lower interest rate, when I simply indicated that I would listen to what she had to say, she did a hard credit check before I had given her the ok. Right after she indicated that she had to pull my credit, I immediately asked if it would be a hard pull, and if so I do n't want you to do it. S he said I have already did it. I did no give permission. This affects my credit. I told her to put me on do not call me again if I want to inquire about a loan I will call you. She later called back and apologized.

Complaint: I recieved a preappoval letter from OneMain Financial in XXXX. I then applied in XXXX and was approved pending bringing in a vehicle title for my XXXX. Because of the holidays it longer than expected to get my title. Once I received the title I applied for the loan from OneMain. I received inconsistent statements from the loan agent XXXX at the XXXX, Indiana location. It was decided that I needed to reapply after paying off a certain payday loan company. I then filed a complaint against this loan agent direct to the company. I sent the complaint to the company on XXXX. On today 's date I received a letter from the company stating I had been denied credit which is not true. I was approved and cleared any credit requirement. ***I also have a current loan with this company and my credit score has since improved substantially. The letter to me was just a retaliation because of the complaint filed against this loan agent. ***Again I am current customer of this lender. In addition, this loan agent or company maliciously stated that my credit score was a XXXX which is false information as shown by the attached file.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/16, approximately at XXXX. I received a call from XXXX ( Store Manager ) at One Main in XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX was calling to confirm that I was paying my scheduled payment on XXXX/XXXX/16. On XXXX/XXXX/16, I spoke with XXXX and another female associate while I was making an in office payment. During this time, I confirmed that the next payment will be made on XXXX/XXXX/16. While in the office, the female associate ask me if I want to refinance my loan and I told her " No ''. I also told her that someone else had called me previous ( in XXXX 2016 ) and asked the same thing and I told her No as well. I told this person that I am trying to pay my loan off. This person that I spoke with in XXXX give me a payoff total. The female associate then asked me to defer my payments. I asked her to explain that and she told me that they will apply my current payment to interest only and move XXXX payments to the end of my loan. After that I was to make a payment on the XXXX/XXXX/16. I told her No. I asked that she please apply my payment as a normal payment that I will be in the office to make the next payment on XXXX. She visually got upset and called XXXX ( supposedly the manager ). XXXX then went on to tell me that I needed to do the deferment or refinance and I told him again No. I was not signing a deferment letter or refinancing my loan. I told both of them that I was almost finish paying it out and was not starting over. I also told them about the conversation that I had with a employee in XXXX and what she told me was my payoff balance. He told me that my payoff was much higher over {$100.00} more than what the other lady initially told me. Why will someone tell me XXXX thing and then these XXXX come up with something totally different?
Back to the XXXX/XXXX/16, so when XXXX called me that night, he asked if I was still coming in the office to make the payment. I told him that I was not coming in the office because I had to work but will send someone in the office to make the payment for me. XXXX told me No, that I need to bring the payment in myself and sign the deferment or refinance papers. I told him that I was not signing anything. That I already discussed this with him on my last visit. XXXX then told me that he will not accept my payment on XXXX/XXXX/16. I asked him to send me a letter stating that and the reason why my payments were being deny. He refused.
I believe that because I refused to refinance my loan or defer my payments in which will result in the company will result in make more money from my loan, XXXX refused to take my payment in which will cause me to pay additional interest and penalties as well as derogatory marks on my credit file. I have been a customer with Springleaf for over two years and never had a problem with anyone. Now that One Main has merger/acquired Springleaf is this the type of behavior that I will be subject to? I believe that this is unethical, deceptive, manipulative lending practices which are forcing me to amend my contract to meet someone 's quota for the month and to make the company more money. I am totally upset with this. I made the payment online using my credit card and received the confirmation message, I pray that my payment will not be rejected but I wanted someone else to be aware of this and I am afraid of retaliation from this office being that they have the ability to do or add whatever they want to my account because of my refusal to do what they want me to do.

Complaint: Their info and process is not transparent and dont give clear info. I paid a big chunk of my loan last year and they told me i have the payment due one year after. I still paid some before the next due date. I am paying more now than before even, but i still get few calls a day telling me i am behind and they will send me to collection and my credit will be ruined and they are charging more for finance charges. They are charging me 37 % interest and never decrease the payment amount due to lower total. The never give me clear numbers why and how they are charging me this much and why i am behind with higher payment with lower amount owing and still the amount owing keeps increasing. It is like contracting with devil.

Complaint: I have several issues with this company. When I first applied for the loan, I was told by several people at the office, including the branch manager, XXXX XXXX, that this was a simple interest loan and that I could make extra payments directly to the principal of the loan if I sent it to the office directly with the phrase " Principal Payment '' on the check. Furthermore, when I paid extra on the website and the payment was divided by the normal schedule instead of a principal payment, I was again told by the staff at the XXXX XXXX, CA branch that I should have sent it to them as a principal payment.
Well, I recently decided to start paying this loan quicker and sent them a payment directly as I had been told multiple times. XXXX XXXX actually called me to tell me that they could n't do that and that I would be paying the loan as agreed in the schedule. When I asked XXXX XXXX about what he has promised me, he refused to respond other than to ask me what to do with the check.

Complaint: I had a loan with OneMain Financial that automatic payments were taken out every month, it was always paid on time then the XXXX to last payment they stopped automotic pay on there own. I called and set up the last XXXX payments. XXXX payment was taken out and apparently the other payment never got taken out. Several months went by and I called them on XXXX XXXX after looking at a statement I received showing a payment do. It stated to call or mail payment to them by XXXX XXXX. I called and they are refusing to take my payment because the have sold the debt and wo n't take the payment for 30 days. I am trying to get a loan and no longer can get the loan because I ca n't show proof I have paid it off because they are refusing payment. Can they refuse payment for 30 days?

Complaint: I have a loan with a company called One Main Financial in the city of XXXX, CA. I received a call from a representative by the name of XXXX. I have been attempting to apply for a loan deferment for XXXX weeks. The reps at the branch have stated they have emailed me the deferment form but I had not received it. Finally, on Wednesday, XX/XX/2016 XXXX stated she is handling my account and that " I better get the form in ''! She became irate when I told her she was speaking to fast and I was unable to understand her words. XXXX then stated " hold on! ". She Abruptly placed me on hold ... When I advised XXXX that she was being rude, she in turn told me I was the XXXX being rude and hung up in my face. I called the One Main XXXX back, XXXX again answered the phone. I asked for a manager, she stated there is no manager and declined giving me the name of a manager. XXXX then hung up again. I have been a customer with One Main for some years. I have always worked with XXXX. She is extremely pleasant. The Service provided by XXXX was very unprofessional and disgusting. This is not reputation that One Main Financial should want for their bank.
