Complaint: Today XX/XX/XXXX I received 3 phone calls from XXXX at One Main Financial who stated that the matter was urgent and that she needed to speak to me right away. I had called previously and called once more and finally got her on the phone. She then told me that my XX/XX/XXXX payment did not post and that it was coded that my bank account was frozen. I told her no way. I told her that I just left the bank and my account is fine. We spoke of other methods of making a payment and she agreed that my wife could call with a debit card to make the payment. She smugly told me she was just worried about my account. This suppose concern seem odd to me immediately. I later spoke with my wife about the matter and she told me she was in our bank account and that payment did go through with no problems. I also recalled being online earlier and seeing that the payment showed posted for XX/XX/XXXX. On that subject, I had went into the local office, on XX/XX/XXXX and changed my banking information and XXXX processed the payment electronically. Nevertheless, I called XXXX back and told her the payment with through just fine and that it showed online and that I even spoke with One Main customer service department who confirmed the payment. She ask me to screenshot her the XXXX XXXX XXXX payment. I told her I was n't sure I should do anything like that. She said she would have to contact her Manager because she shows a code 16 and the payment is not showing that she sees. I then called customer service back and spoke with XXXX XXXX and he told me we actually made two payments of {$100.00} for XX/XX/XXXX that went through fine from he sees. I then requested to speak with a supervisor. I also explained to XXXX XXXX problems my wife and I have had in the past with this office. He apologized for our troubles. Somehow I got disconnected when XXXX XXXX transferred. I called back and spoke to XXXX who would not give me XXXX XXXX but said she could transfer me and transferred to a voicemail box with no greeting and I left a message assuming I had the supervisor. She said, as did XXXX XXXX the supervisor 's name is XXXX XXXX. My wife called and as asked by XXXX ( at local office ) but was given her voicemail box and found that telling. Neither my wife or I have received a call back from the local office. It appears very obvious to us that I/we were being harassed deliberately by this office, as my loan is close to being paid off. As of this writing I have no heard back from the supervisor I requested a call back from. Having worked in as a customer service rep, I can say that I believe the above employees deadpanned my complaint to the company.

Complaint: I had a debt with Springleaf Financial Services XXXX Washington XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Attorney at Law, XXXX XXXX OR handled the debt collection. Was NEVER notified or served papers. After receiving garnishment papers from my payroll division where I work I started digging. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Attorney at Law falsely stated that I was served to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I never lived at XXXX XXXX, XXXX WA XXXX and after contacting the owner he told me that in fact they tried to serve him my papers several times and each time he told them I do n't know this person and this person does n't live here. The last time the server showed up he threw the envelope at him and left.This was around XXXX or XXXX XXXX he said. My complaint is how many other consumers have they falsified information about properly serving and notification violating RCW laws

Complaint: Previously I disputed false advertisement and false assumptions with the BBB on XXXX XXXX XXXX. They persist that I applied for a personal loan on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, which I did not. References to the first dispute is below in the inbox. XXXX XXXX Bank was notified by XXXX that I was affected by the security breach, XXXX ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX ). This when they said I applied for the credit, as you see in the information I supplied, I did not apply for credit initially. Now I believe that this could be the result of the security breach. The advertisement stated that checking to see if I qualify for a loan, it would not affect my credit, but I received a hard inquiry. The online advertisement is below in the drop box. The application they provided is totally incorrect as highlighted.

Complaint: Hello, I filled out an application for a personal loan on One Main. 5 days ago. During the application process they advertise that checking the offers will not affect your credit. It was supposed to be a soft enquiry. Within a few minutes of applying I received a message from XXXX that a hard enquiry had been filed. Since then I have been calling their offices daily, they promise me a call back to resolve the issue. every day it is the same thing they never call me back. the person I spoke with on Thursday said when you click on the check offer you agree to the inquiry! Obviously I did as long as it was a soft inquiry which would not affect by credit, not a hard inquiry. In the attached document you will see that at the bottom of the page it says " this will not affect your credit score ''

Complaint: I went to a cash maching to use a card from One Main Financial to get {$500.00}. It was a XXXX XXXX machine, the machine said the cash transaction was declined or was unable to be processed. Though the cash was never dispensed - the charge went on my card anyway. I called XXXX, the ATM service provider, and One Main. They all blamed each other and nobody would refund my money. I filed a dispute with One Main and they said it would take 10+ days. In the mean time I am out {$500.00}. One Main states they are acting on my behalf to resolve the situation but will not provide me with any documentation on what they are doing. I said if they are acting on my behalf they must provide me with the information on their efforts to resolve the situation - I was very clear with the representative and she refused and when asked several more times, I made clear what I was asking for - she continued to refuse. XXXX and One Main are both pointing the finger at each other and nobody cares that they took ( basically theft ) {$500.00} from me.

Complaint: in XXXX of XXXX I came into One Main financial to get a loan and was approved. The loan officers name was XXXX XXXX. I filed the appropriate paperwork and the loan XXXX asked me if I wanted the insurance that came with the loan and I told them NO. I did not need the insurance which included life insurance and medical insurance because I already had my own personal policies. The loan XXXX then showed me a different price that was lower than the initial monthly payments and told me that that was the pricing WITHOUT insurance. I said ok. Later down on the line I end up checking my account and see that the Loan XXXX still included insurance in my loan when I clearly asked her not to! And the company told me I had to come in person to take the insurance off and that the would not reimburse me for the months Ive been paying extra for insurance. Total ripoff. I do n't care how small the amount is, its the principle that matters.

Complaint: They are robbing people. I sought a XXXX loan and repaid it in a month, they have since charged me XXXX even though the loan was paid. I took a loan for XXXX and they mark me as owing over XXXX, I repaid the loan in a month and sure I could expect some early repayment fee or interest but this is insane and WRONG! Their website " my account '' is not accurate or transparent. Does not show what is really owed or pay off quotes. Their customer service is non-existent because they know they are stealing from you and being allowed to. Account opened XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX but claims a loan for XXXX XXXX XXXX I paid it back XXXX and they charged me on the XXXX XXXX, they charged me again XXXX XXXX another XXXX, and XXXX XXXX another XXXX claim I still have a balance of {$4500.00} for a loan of XXXX which I have now paid at least XXXX. I do n't want people to get ripped off I hate being screwed over and if there 's anything you can do to protect people and help people from shady lending practices here and other places then you 'd be doing a great service. I contacted Consumer Financial Protection Bureau before. I also contacted XXXX.

Complaint: Loan was initiated on XX/XX/XXXX for {$7400.00} with XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, MO which became One Main Financial. In XX/XX/XXXX, experienced financial difficulties and contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX. They were responsible for negotiating the interest rate and payment amount with creditors including One Main. After one year with XXXX, we got back on our feet and began making payments to One Main our selves. It was later on that I noticed that all of our payments were going to interest. I have contacted the company twice and they seem unresponsive with all my payments going to interest. As of XX/XX/XXXX, the balance on this loan is {$5400.00}. I have made over {$17000.00} in payments. The total amount of payments on the original contract is {$15000.00}. I have been late on some of my payments but this amount seems ridiculous. I have had XXXX XXXX, I have XXXX, and I can not work. I submitted a letter to One Main asking for some compassion with this issue. But they refused to do anything. So I decided to contact you.

I have had a couple of disputes with this company, so I sent them a letter to there credit file listed addresses within 30 days XXXX/XXXX/XXXX Onemain and or Onemain Financial XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, IN XXXX and Onemain Financial and or Onemain XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX notifying them to correct all innaccurate, false, erroneous information contained within all my Credit files ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) creditor has failed to fully comply. After notification XXXX/XXXX/XXXX the creditor ONEMAIN and or ONEMAIN FINANCIAL blantantly preceded to add multiple late payments about 12 to my XXXX profile up to XXXX XXXX, which are all false, erroneous, and inaccurate and need to be removed immediately they are well outside of Notice of Chapter XXXX XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Creditor also changed contact address on XXXX file to Onemain and or Onemain Financial XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MD XXXX and has received a resubmission only of prior dispute at this newly added contact address sent XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and been informed they failed to correct all innaccurate, false, and erroneous Information from my ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) credit files within 30 days. For further Information please refer to my CFPB complaint which will be uploaded with this complaint.
