They also provided documentation that appears to be screen shots of an application with them. However the bank account they provided I have never owned. Therefore, this account was not mine. They wont change the information.

I sent a letter to the company dated XX/XX/18 regarding this fraudulent account and my ID theft report showing that I am a victim of identity theft. The account is not my account and I have never had any business with XXXX XXXX ; which is indicated as the original creditor on my credit file. I have asked that I be provided with validation and verification of the debt including an authorized signature. This has not been provided. My consumer protection rights are being violated and I would like a resolution regarding this situation.

Complaint: I have an account with XXXX XXXX XXXX and the company that collects the payments is, Monterey Financial Services. My problem is that over the period of more than a year Iv'e been making my payments through a direct deposit account with XXXX XXXX . Last year alone, Monterey Financial has charged my account {$1400.00}, plus my maintenance fee. In return, I am not able to use my services because they accuse me of being late on my payments. Iv'e done everything possible to explain to them that this is a direct payment from the bank. Iv'e provided them with copies of my bank statements indicating that my payments have always been up to date. Iv'e been in constant communication with Monterey and even though they acknowledge that something is amiss they make no effort to right the wrong. I have come to the conclusion that this has to be a case of fraud. They hardly answer my e-mails and when they do they only ask for more copies of bank statements that have nothing to do with last year 's actions or lack of. I had a submitted a complaint with your office, but was told that either I would have to seek the services of an attorney or go to Legal Services. Thing is, I don't qualify for Legal Services and with my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX pension, I honestly can not afford an attorney. I would like for you to provide me with an orientation as to how I could file charges of fraud against this company.

Complaint: I just recently paid a loan off that I originally opened with XXXX XXXX XXXX back in XX/XX/XXXX. The account was sold to Monterey Financial shortly after I opened the account. Monterey recently reported my account as late 30days, stating I hadn't made a payment inXX/XX/XXXX. I have talked with monterey several times this year and they have never said that my account was missing a payment until today XX/XX/XXXX, when I asked why did I receive a late pay on my credit report at the end of my loan payment which I made on XX/XX/XXXX, for {$190.00}. I was told by the rep that I missed a payment in XX/XX/XXXX, and that the missed payment is the payment I made on XX/XX/XXXX, and that is why we reported you late 30days from XX/XX/XXXX. I received this correspondence via email on XX/XX/XXXX, after 2years.

Complaint: My husband and I went to XXXX to look at some small dogs XX/XX/XXXX. While we were there we fell in love with a 3 months old XXXX so we asked the clerk how much are they asking for the puppy. She stated {$1400.00} which I thought that price was a little deep but my husband was so adamant about taking her home so we asked about financing, She said all she needs is some information from me and to see if I can get approved. So she was using a small tablet to do the application for me and since I had the strongest credit score, I provide her with my credential. She informed me that I was approved by XXXX XXXX. The FINANCE amount is {$1300.00}. My husband and I agreed to pay the {$1300.00} early. In XX/XX/XXXX I check my credit report and saw that Monterey Financial Services was reporting a balance for {$3500.00}. I immediately called Monterey Financial and asked the female representative why are they reporting the balance {$3500.00} and what this for, she indicated that they are now servicing the loan from XXXX XXXX. I thought I was approved for {$1300.00}. The representative stated that I am LEASING THE DOG and that the {$3500.00} is the amount for 24 months lease. I was extremely bothered by this. I travel a lot on my job so I didn't have time to handle this accordingly. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called Monterey to asked why the payoff balance is not available online and why they don't provide you with a bill by mail. The representative informed me that you have to call them and they will provide a verbal quote. WHAT? I asked the representative why do we have to call you when it is difficult at times trying to reach a representative. On XX/XX/XXXX, I finally reached someone over the phone and I spoke with ( XXXX ). I asked XXXX for a payoff and she quoted me {$970.00} for an early payoff. I informed XXXX that her company is 1. predatory practices 2. the company is preying on consumers and 3. I am disputing this payoff after we have already PAID {$1800.00} and we will not send this another dime. I asked XXXX to email me the quote to have this ridiculous payoff in black and white. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) sent the email and I responded to the email to inform XXXX XXXX I dispute the quote in writing and to ask her how she came to the payoff quote after the online payment history does not provide itemizes details. I requested for XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) to provide me with the information before the close of business if XX/XX/XXXX, or I considered the payoff invalid. XXXX XXXX sent me an email XX/XX/XXXX, with some figures she typed in the body of the email. I will attach the email conversation to my complaint.

Complaint: Some one stole my identity and solicit a loan to Monterey financial Services, LLC. This person is utilizing a florida address ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX FL, XXXX phone : XXXX ). The loan was approved and I am being charge for it. The loan amount is {$3700.00} with a monthly payment of {$140.00}. In XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Monterey Financial and informed that the loan was made by a identity thief person and sent the police report number so they would removed the charge. I explained that as soon as the report is provided to me by the police department I would be sending it to them. At this moment they are still charging me the monthly amount ( {$140.00} ), no pause has been made and my credit has been affected. The identity theft was reported to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX and a fraud alarm/warning has been added to avoid inquiries or any other action. This was made XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: This correspondence is in regards to the collection listed currently on my credit file. First I would like to say that this collection does not belong to me/it is due to fraud. I reached out on XX/XX/XXXX and left a message for an account rep ( XXXX XXXX ) to give me a call back. I never received a call back. I reached out on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with XXXX at ext. XXXX ; who was very abrupt.. I tried to explain to him that this account did not belong to me. He asked me questions to confirm my identity. He couldn't locate me BUT afterwards he asked me for the account number. I looked at the document that was sent to me a couple weeks ago. After I went through then entire statement ; he states that he could not speak to me because this account was listed in bankruptcy. I tried to explain to him the situation about the identity theft ; etc. ; BUT he would not speak with me. He stated that he needed to speak with my bankruptcy attorney or I needed to get something back in writing from my attorney giving him permission to speak with me. I called back again shortly afterwards and spoke with another representative stating the same thing. I asked her this question. If this is included in the bankruptcy, why is it reporting separately on my report? She stated that I needed to send a letter stating that they could speak with me about it. I am still maintaining that this bill is in regards to identity theft ; BUT the fact still remains that it should not be showing on my report as a separate entity. It should be removed ; as I am being penalized twice. I asked if I could show a police report stating showing that there was identity theft on my name ; she told me no. I have included the negative report on my credit report ; as well documentation from the Bankruptcy. You will see on page 15, column 2, and line 1 ; Monterey Financial Services is listed as a creditor. Also on page 14 XXXX ( original creditor ) is listed on this Bankruptcy report. This identity theft was done prior to my knowledge of it even happening. I would also like to point out that XXXX XXXX senior manager responded back out to me on XX/XX/XXXX ; which was in violation of the law because of my bankruptcy. What I have attached is : a. written statement ( which shows my credit reporting ) b. Company 's response c. Bankruptcy filings that list Monterey and XXXX listed. Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX has continued to report inaccurate information on my credit reports each month. I have called inquiring about the account number associated with the account and they have sent me letters indicating that my account is closed and in satisfactory condition. As the months continued, I have checked my credit reports and this company is still reporting on my credit reports. So I called them and asked " why are they still reporting negative information on my account? '' She asked for the account number and I gave it to her. She said that this account has a zero balance and I told her that was correct and I have the letters that were sent to me showing that. I was put on hold and then she comes back and tells me that the account that I had has a new account number and has been sent to collections. First of all, how can I get a new account number and it's sent to collections when I have received information that my account was satisfied. On top of that, on my credit report, it shows that I have an original balance of {$3800.00} but I owe over {$7700.00}. This amount continues to go up every month. This company has deceived me and wants me to pay this amount of money in which I refuse to do because my account has been satisfied. They are unfairly reporting inaccurate information and this is detrimental to my credit.

After finding out the original creditor went out of business and merged with Monterrey Collection SVC I call to work out a payment plan. After going through the verification process they told me my agent was a woman named XXXX. After speaking with XXXX I informed her that I could make a payment of {$50.00} and start to make monthly payments to satisfy the debt. She informed me that they could not make payment arrangements or partial payments and the debt needed to be satisfied in full or she would turn me over to her legal team and that it could have negative impact to my credit. She then stated that they would need to do an asset verification on me to see where they could transfer the debt to another one of my accounts that has nothing to do with this debt. At this time I got off the phone with the lady, due to the statements she was making.

Complaint: I was coerced into signing a contract for a " timeshare '' under false pretenses. It is not a real timeshare and I am paying money every month for something that does not give me anything free. When I want to use the timeshare I am still charged hundreds of dollars. I have stated that this is too expensive and it has put me in a financial strain and it's not even beneficial to me in the least bit. However they stated there's nothing they can do. They even reported me to the credit bureau and I'm trying to clean up my credit. When I tried to talk to them ( on multiple occasions ) about relieving me of the debt they were very rude and stated it's not their problem and I have to pay! This has been a headache for me from day one and I want out!!! I should not be forced to pay for something I can barely afford and can not use.
