Complaint: I sent a dispute letter asking this company to validate this debt they say I owe on XX/XX/2018. They received the dispute letter XX/XX/2018 at XXXX. In the letter it states the following : Pursuant to Section 809 ( b ) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act : If the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the 30-day period described in subsection ( a ) that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, or that the consumer requests the name and address of the original creditor, the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt or any copy of a judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor, and a copy of such verification or judgment, or name and address of the original creditor, is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector. After they received my dispute letter they flagged my credit report again as a collection account. In states that all collection activity is to cease until they validate this account and proof it is mine. They did not abide by the law. Please pay attention to all the dates on my attachments.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I received a notification from XXXX and XXXX that MRS BPO LLC ( Address : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NJ XXXX ) has flagged my account as a Collections account for the amount of {$230.00}. Prior to this they did not contact in any way, shape, form or fashion to give me a chance to dispute this account. I have no idea of what this account is for. This has caused me credit score to drop drastically.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX to pay off the entire balance that had been forwarded to them from XXXX XXXX for my XXXX XXXX XXXX The amount I was advised to pay was {$1800.00} and I asked them if this was a pay in full amount or a settlement amount. They confirmed that this was a pay in full amount. I then ran my credit in XX/XX/XXXX and contacted XXXX XXXX as I saw that the amount reporting was over {$2000.00}. I was forwarded to XXXX in the Deficiency Balance Department and requested information as to why I had only paid a partial balance of what was reporting on my credit report. She stated that while it showed I had a deficiency balance of over {$900.00}, it was okay, that even if I paid her while on the phone, my credit report would still show when it ran end of XX/XX/XXXX that the balance was XXXX. She refused to take any monies from me as said that XXXX XXXX was the only company that could handle payment processing. I contacted XXXX XXXX again that month to advise that I needed to make sure that the correct amount was what they had processed and I didn't need to pay them more. Based on the information from MRS as well as XXXX, I did not make an additional payment. In XX/XX/XXXX, I saw my credit report ran and it still showed that I had a balance of over {$900.00}. I contacted XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and was advised that my account showed charged off on their end and that I had paid on a Settlement. I asked them to go back and listen to my XX/XX/XXXXcalls to confirm that I had been told that this was not a Settlement amount and that I needed to make sure it showed on my credit report that I had paid the balance in full. These funds had been obtained from an inheritance from my dad passing in XX/XX/XXXX. My intentions were to pay off all my debt with other companies so that in XX/XX/XXXX, I could buy a house. I was told that they would go back and listen to the calls and get back with me. I never heard back so contacted the end of XX/XX/XXXX and they told me that if I had any problems, I would need to reach out to XXXX XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX and was advised that they were not a collection agency and that they had only processed the amount that XXXX had given them. I spoke with a supervisor named XXXX XXXX and he stated that their job is to take money and if they could process the remainder of {$900.00} that they would but this was up to XXXX. My credit report than ran end of XX/XX/XXXX and showed that it was now a XXXX dollar balance but comments showed that I had paid less than full. In XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX and requested that they dispute this with their credit team. I reviewed the details that I have stated so far. I never heard from them so disputed with XXXX who then forwarded a direct dispute to XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I got a letter stating that my dispute was denied and that the comments were correct. InXX/XX/XXXX, I saw that my credit report still had the same comments. I contacted them and advised that initially in the Summer of XX/XX/XXXX, I had asked what amount I could pay to pay off the account. They took off the fees and interest to reduce the amount to what I ended up paying MRS . However, I was never told that this was a Settlement. I advised XXXX of this who then again told me that it was something I would need to speak with XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX and advised XXXX that I would need a pay in full letter confirming that I paid them the balance in full so when applying for a mortgage, it would show that I did make the payment in full and did not pay for less than full balance. he said that the only thing he could send was that the matter has been resolved. I have now sought legal advice and was told to make a formal complaint thru here. Thank You, XXXX XXXX

Complaint: My wife and I have no debts other than monthly credit card bills that are always paid on time, in full. The last " debt '' I had was 20 years ago when I took out a short-term ( months ) bridge loan to buy a home. It was paid off ahead of time. I have been receiving repeated calls ( near daily ) from MRS Associates since XX/XX/XXXX. The first time I called them back they insisted on my revealing personal information that I refuse to provide to anyone I don't know and trust. The woman at MRS was pushy and hostile. She kept saying " Tell me your name ; you called us '' and I refused because they had my number and were claiming I had an unpaid debt. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, they left voicemail for the first time, telling me to call XXXX XXXX XXXX about a debt. I called to try to resolve this matter. Again I was asked for personal information I refuse to give under these circumstances. I said " Since you have my phone number and think I owe someone money, you should have all you need. Please tell me who you think I owe money to. '' She then referred to me by name, but I still refused to give up additional personal information. I said " Send me certified mail describing the debt you think I owe. '' She said " We have. '' I said " No you haven't. '' ( We've received absolutely nothing from MRS. ) She said " Yes we have. '' and then hung up on me. I'm suspecting and fearing identity theft here. ( My personal information has been stolen from a major university, XXXX and XXXX, among others. ) But I'm not going to give anyone, including MRS , additional information about myself over the phone under these circumstances. I'd like the calls to stop. And MRS needs to go back to their client and let them know they clearly don't know my correct address or spending habits, and most importantly, they don't have the right person. I'm feeling harassed.

Complaint: I have received multiple credit collection notices from MRS Associates, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NJ XXXX, XXXX. I have sent a letter indicating that this debt has been dismissed on a final Chap XXXX Bankruptcy in XX/XX/2017, however, they continue to send notices. I have received numerous phone calls from this company and I have either referred them to my attorney and/or have told them to stop harassing me. I have also informed them by phone that this debt has been included in my personal/business bankruptcy. They persist and this has caused me and my family undue XXXX XXXX.I am a XXXX XXXX and have been housebound for the last three months due to a service connected injury. Complaint: I do not know who this company is or why they are contacting me about a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called and they can not provide a validation of my account or any information but placed it on my credit report. I was told they tried to call in XX/XX/2017 and couldnt reach me at a number I had never heard of. I further asked if I was ever contacted via mail and they said they are not required to mail anything as a phone call is sufficient. This appeared on my report out of no where and I want it deleted immediately! I was told by their rep they are not required to know the FCRA rules cause its a third party collection agency and they purchased the debt and thats good enough for them to say its mine.

Complaint: MRS BPO out of no where caused my credit to go way down. I have never even been contact by them, unless all the fake bill collectors that have harrased me such as XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX The XXXX XXXX or XXXX, which have all threatned me in one way shape or form. Anyway I was under the impression by XXXX XXXX XXXX like about 6 years ago that they were investigating somethings and said they would be in touch. They said they would validate the bill, and they had all my info including my email, so when I never heard back I thought it was taken care of and then 6 years later bang, out of no where my credit gets attacked. I never heard back but today out of no where MRS BPO files something with the credit bureaus going against my credit. I had no idea of their involvement, the bill was never validated and now all my hard work on my credit has suffered. Is n't a company supposed to validate a bill and contact you before taking such measures? I believe my credit right have been violated, please do something about it and make the take that off my report. I have filed a dispute with experian and asked them to send it to the other credit agencies.

Complaint: MRS Aaociates called my business provided and paid cell phone on XX/XX/XXXX asking for XXXX XXXX. I told the woman that there was no one by that name nor did I know anyone by that name. I told her she had a wrong number and not to call in the future. They called again on the XXXX and hung up when I answered. Then called again on the XXXX. I called their number three time until I spoke to a XXXX XXXX and was told again they would take my number off but it would "take at least 48 hours"They call from different numbers that can't be called back. They repeatedly hang up When the call is answered.
