Complaint: After making a deposit payment ( XX/XX/19 ) to XXXX XXXX ( military veteran ) for a condo, we changed our minds within XXXX. He replied back to our email that he would refund us the {$600.00}. However, we never heard back from him. We executed a rental contract that we would receive the keys the morning ( XX/XX/19 ). When XXXX failed to provide the keys on time, we decided to cancel the agreement to find other arrangements. He responded sympathetically and agreed to return the money ... as long as we provided a screen shot that the funds indeed went through. I told my fianc not to send him the confirmation and instead contact Chase and or XXXX. Chase recommended we send a Request to Refund. We sent it and received no response. My fianc sent the confirmation email with hopes he would return the money. But, still no response. Can someone please tell us how to get this resolved? There must be something that can be done! If not for us, the millions of others that will stop using XXXX and other options if there is no sort of fraud protection. Complaint: On XX/XX/18 I took an XXXX from XXXX XXXX to XXXX NY. I had Approximately {$80.00} in XXXX credits that expire monthly that I was happy to use as it was nearly the end of the month so I set the trip to charge my credits in full. However upon arrival in XXXX the XXXX drivers XXXX malfunctioned and showed the fare incorrectly as {$15.00} so only that was deducted from my credits, leaving approximately {$64.00} in XXXX expiring credit. The the next day ( XX/XX/18 ) the driver contacted XXXX and the fare was corrected, however now FRAUDULENTLY charging a chase card I had on file. This was an unauthorized charge, as my original ride was fully paid for in XXXX credits. This would be akin to a frequent flyer taking a flight, then landing and the airline charging his credit card INSTEAD OF DEDUCTING THE MILES. I contacted XXXX several times throughout the next few weeks, and received multiple incoherent responses from them. I then contacted chase who informed that since the credit card was in my XXXX account, XXXX has a right to charge it. XXXX refused to change the payment on the ride, and my credits ( I did not have a chance to utilize them in the following 24/48 hours ) were left to expire. I vehemently disagree with XXXX & Chase. I initially fully paid for my ride in XXXX credits, and if XXXX decides to change the method on me after the ride was paid in full, I need to be contacted. ESPECIALLY AS THERE WAS ENOUGH XXXX CREDITS AS INITIALLY SELECTED TO PAY FOR THE RIDE IN FULL. As you can see from my attached communication, the XXXX reps seemed to indicate that the " XXXX credits were not selected for the trip '' as you can see in my attachment of my communication with them and the initial receipt, this is patently false. Chase needs to refund me my money, as this is clearly a fraudulent charge that was not authorized.

Complaint: I had over XXXX ultimate reward points which I value for over {$6000.00} and the bank took it away after closing my account. The whole reason the bank recently closed my account was for having an old balance with them from a write off account, I had with them in the 2008 recession. Although, it was clearly discussed while I opened the account and I even offered them to pay it which they refused. They were totally ok and fine to open the account. Therefore, I'm very concerned about why they suddenly closed it now, after again being with them for a couple of years.

Complaint: My Chase credit card was stolen XX/XX/XXXX, followed by approximately {$2200.00} of charges within the day or maybe next day ( plus about {$200.00} of bank fees ). None of the charges were made by me. I reported the card theft to Chase that day, and the charges were adjusted off on my XXXX statement, showing a zero balance ( showing {$1400.00} cash advances before the adjustments ). Then, on about XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from an employee of the fraud unit that informed me that those charges plus another {$780.00} of cash advances plus various service fees were being added back to my account. I explained that I had not made the charges, which led to a brusque accusation that since my PIN was used and she could not figure out how that could have been done by anyone else, I " had received benefit from this transaction. '' The only way to avoid it was to prove that I had not used the card. Since my 78 years of integrity and several years as a Chase card member was not sufficient proof, she said there was nothing she could do. I still do not know how anyone can prove a non-action. So, my XXXX statement showed all the charges, plus more service fees. I made the minimum payment, which was then reflected on the XXXX statement along with more service fees ; I made another payment on the XXXX statement. In the meantime, I also disputed the charges by letter with the executive in charge, which led to a curt reply from a person who claimed to be a representative of the executive unit and the final authority on any appeal, who stated that the prior action of the fraud unit was confirmed and that I had no other recourse. ( Through all this, I still have not seen the detail of the charges that were added after the XXXX statement, so I do not know when they were made. ) I am shocked at the total disregard of my statement that I did not make the charges as well as the subsequent arrogance and stonewalling of the fraud unit and the executive unit. How can Chase be allowed to prey on people who have no way to defend themselves! I initially thought I was being singled out but now realize after seeing many similar complaints on the CFPB data base that this is a common practice engaged in by Chase.

Complaint: I have a Chase Ink Business card. I received in the mail a promotional offer for balance transfer for 0 % monthly interest rate until XX/XX/XXXX with a 3 % transactional fee of the total balance transfer. I took advantage of this offer online in XX/XX/XXXX. The total amount of the balance transfer was XXXX which posted on XX/XX/XXXX. The transaction fee of {$170.00} posted on XX/XX/XXXX. I made a payment of {$2500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, expecting that it would cover the normal monthly charges of {$1000.00} ( I always pay the full amount every month ) and some of the balance transfer. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was charged {$17.00} interest, which I did not expect. When I called to inquire, I was told it's because I should not have put a balance transfer on a card that I use for other things. And that the interest was due to " how they applied the payments. '' The agent claimed this information was in the " fine print, '' but I find this misleading since it does not make sense that I pay interest charges on some nebulous amount that the agent could not describe to me. That information should be clearly laid out for people. The agent told me that if I had done it over the phone, I would have known.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2017, my house was broken in and {$60000.00} face value of US Savings Bonds were stolen. I called XXXX XXXX Police and a crime report was written. I also reported to the Treasury Dept for the bonds being stolen. Treasury Dept directed me to submit some forms to verify identity, to identify the numbers of the bonds, and to convert the paper bonds into ibonds. OnXX/XX/2017, Chase Bank in XXXX Arizona opened bank accounts ( # # XXXX & XXXX ) for a person in the name XXXX XXXX XXXX by means of my social security number and California driver 's license number, and let this XXXX XXXX XXXX cash the stolen bonds for {$94000.00}. I do not understand why Chase Bank let this person redeem the stolen bonds even though the names on the bonds do not match this person 's name. Chase Bank hurt me gravely. 1.Treasury Dept asked me to pay back the {$94000.00} plus interest and penalty charges and sent it for collection. 2.Treasury Dept reported to credit agencies for a delinquent account of over {$130000.00} and interests were accrued daily. 3. IRS asked me pay tax on the earned interest as if I had cashed the bonds

THE LADY TOLD ME TO COME INTO THE BANK WITH MY ID AND SS CARD AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE WITH MY PARENTS AND I DID. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS RESTRICTED AND WILL BE CLOSED IN 10 DAYS BECAUSE OF TRANSACTIONS THAT HAPPENED ON MY ACCOUNT THE PERSON DEPOSITED CHECKS FROM THE ATM AND WITHDREW MONEY THEY SAID USING MY PIN NUMBER. THE PERSON ALSO WENT TO THE WINDOW AND WITHDREW MONEY. I WAS NEVER EVER ABLE TO LOG INTO MY ACCOUNT AGAIN ONLINE. MY MOM CALLED ON XX/XX/2019 TO DISPUTE WHAT HAPPENED AND TO HELP ME PUT A CLAIM ON MY ACCOUNT. THEY PUT THE CLAIM ON THE ACCOUNT FOR THE ATM WITHDRAWALS. THEY DID NOT PUT A CLAIM FOR WHAT WAS SITHDRAWN AT THE WINDOW. I NEVER HEARD ANY RESULTS FROM THE CLAIM. MY SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK WAS DEPOSITED IN THE CHASE ACCOUNT ON XX/XX/2019. THEY KEPT THE SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK AND SENT A BILL DUE OF {$13.00} AND SAID THE ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED AND CHASE WILL NO LONGER DO BUSINESS WITH ME. XX/XX/2018 I surrender my home back to chase after being denied mortgage help once again. the hearing took place the judge ordered the trustee to stop payments to chase effective immediately I moved out XX/XX/2018 received a check in the amount of {$100.00} from Chase applogizing for the delay in responding back so late on the mortage asst. well Chase forclosed on the home in XX/XX/2018 6 monyhs after the home was surrendered thru bankruptcy. How is this possible.

Complaint: My late mother had a mortgage on her home ; she passed away in XX/XX/2018 and I have inherited the home, where I live. I have corresponded both in writing and on the telephone with the lender, Chase Mortgage, about assuming the loan under the provisions of the Garn-St Germain Depository Institutions Act. I get nothing from Chase but form letters saying the mortgage is not assumable, even after citing Garn-St. Germain to them. On hour-long telephone calls, I talk to several different people who, like automatons parrot " the loan is not assumable '', " the loan is not assumable '', even when I quote Garn-Ste Germain to them. No one will even admit Garn-St Germain exists, no one will tell me why the loan is not assumable. I just get stone-walled. I have been paying the mortgage under my mother 's name and SSN, so have lost out on any claim for mortgage interest tax deduction. I have had it with Chase Mortgage and intend to pay off the mortgage just to get shed of having to deal with this no-customer service organization. A big raspberry to Chase Mortgage ...
