Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I purchased two pieces of furniture and the service to have them assembled and installed. In the course of installation the technician caused intentional and extension damage to the wood floor of the bedroom where the work took place. It was apparently out of frustration for having to work alone on the day in question, whereas he typically has an assistant to support. The cost of replacing the wood floor exceeds the value of the furniture and services purchased. The merchant was unhelpful and refused to acknowledge the behavior of their employee. I disputed the charge with my credit card provider in order to recover the funds and use them towards the replacement of the wood flooring. The credit card provider, Chase Bank, concluded in favor of the merchant without performing a proper investigation. On XX/XX/2019 Chase informed that they had completed the 'investigation ' and determined that the charge was valid because " We can't confirm you're due a credit because we don't have a 2nd opinion letter from a different merchant showing how much it would cost to repair your damaged wood flooring. '' Chase had never requested such information in the course of the 'investigation '. I called Chase to inform the Disputes Department of that fact, and I was told that the case would be re-opened so that a proper investigation be performed. Subsequently, on XX/XX/2019 I received a letter stating once again that the investigation had been concluded, but the reason had simply been adjusted to remove the claim of 'missing information ' that had never been sought. ( All relevant letters are attached to this statement. ) This is highly concerning that a major credit card provider is feigning the handling of dispute investigations and finding in favor of retailers without seeking the necessary facts from the consumer. I have made repeated requests to Chase to re-open the dispute and receive the information needed to make a reasoned judgement. Chase has refused to do so, and does not appear prepared to receive information on the consumer side of a dispute.

Deposits and withdrawals
Complaint: My dad tried depositing cash to my account on XX/XX/2019. He was told that cash can not be deposited to my account by Chase. He tried then depositing with his debit card and was told this is not allowed either and that it must be a check, money order or cashiers check. He then got a cashiers check and deposited to my account. Chase put a hold on my account that will potentially cause me a late fee and/or credit reporting issue. Had they accepted the cash I wouldnt have incurred these issues. Cash is legal tender and not accepting cash as a payment is illegal, how is this policy okay?

Complaint: My brother-in-law sent me {$420.00} through the XXXX app to my chase account. The transaction shows as being completed from his bank and the funds were withdrawn from his account. The funds never came to my account. We have had numerous detailed calls over the course of 6 months with XXXX and Chase. XXXX has provided transaction numbers showing that the funds were transferred to Chase. Chase has given mixed messages, first telling me they see the transaction and then telling me no transaction ever occurred. I am still without {$420.00} and it is on Chase to provide me with a resolution. XXXX has also reached out to them without any response back.

Other problem
Complaint: On XX/XX/19, shortly after using my credit card for a purchase, I received a text message from XXXX stating " Notice XXXX from Chase-Bank Code : Card temporary locked. Please call us now at XXXX " When I called, I was asked to enter my " debit card number, '' and immediately hung up. I don't have a debit card with Chase Bank, and I realized my credit card was with another bank. I called the number on the back of my card, and there was no lock on my account. I also called Chase Bank to report it. They had not made the call. I have since heard from someone else in my geographical area who received the same message from Chase-Bank. I just wanted to report this possible scam.
