Debt collection: Credit card debt

Impersonated attorney, law enforcement, or government official
Complaint: XX/XX/2019 I received a phone call from a company named XXXX XXXX XXXX, who say that they are collecting on a debt from Chase. They told me that they would send me the paperwork for payment, which I did not receive. The morning of XX/XX/2019, they called me back. I informed them that something didn't feel right, and that I wanted to look into their company. I was put through to the individuals supervisor, who was rude and tried to discourage me from looking them up. When I got off the phone, I contacted Chase, and they informed me that they sold my debt to a collection agency named XXXX XXXX, which is no longer in business. I have tried to look up this XXXX online, and can not find anything but complaints of scam. I then received an email from the company, from someone I never spoke to, with forms for me to fill out. Attached are those forms, which I have not filled out. Since then, I have received another call and they left a voicemail telling me that the lawyer has stopped by the office, to drop off my files. The amount they say I owe is {$910.00}, but have settled for {$900.00}. I am afraid that the company is trying to scam me. What should I do?

Struggling to pay mortgage

Mortgage: Other type of mortgage

Complaint: I am submitting a complaint regarding the actions that Chase performed on XX/XX/XXXX by selling the home I previously owned via Foreclosure despite an active Sales Contract that was approved and agreed upon through XXXX TN Bankruptcy Court. On XX/XX/XXXX, I entered into agreement with XXXX XXXX, Real Estate Agent for XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX TN to begin the process of a Short Sale of my home. The initial proposed sales contract dated XX/XX/XXXX was submitted to Chase for review and consideration. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from Chase stating the amount submitted was too low to consider and to submit a new or updates sales contract. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Chase indicating that my home was scheduled for foreclosure on XX/XX/XXXX. Two days later XX/XX/XXXX a new contract was submitted with a new buyer and a new amount of XXXX. Chase approved the Short Sale with the proposed amount. The sales agreement listed the closing date as XX/XX/XXXX. This sale was approved by the TN XXXX District Bankruptcy court. On XX/XX/XXXX the agreed Short Sale was stopped because " Seller unable to provide good title. '' Because the home was in bankruptcy a lien was placed on it to assure that any proceeds of the sale would be paid to JP Morgan Chase as part of the bankruptcy agreement. The approval authorizing the sale specifically stated conditions that JP Morgan Chase Bank and all liens would be paid in full as the closing. On XX/XX/XXXX, Chase sold the home as a foreclosure auction by a Third Party at the same approved amount of XXXX. Chase was fully aware that a Short Sale which had been approved by the Bankruptcy Court was to have been completed by XX/XX/XXXX. Once the sale had been completed, all liens would have been released and the Seller could have received a complete title free from any liens. Because Chase did not fulfill the approval of the sale via bankruptcy and sold the home as a foreclosure, I will now have a foreclosure listed on my credit and that should not be the case. Chase negligence in adhering to the approval of the sale has now placed my credit in a dismal state. Because Chase neglected to fulfill the approved sale of the home that was agreed upon and in process of closing on XX/XX/XXXX, a foreclosure was performed. Once the Short Sale had been completed, the new homeowner would have received a title that was free from all liens.

Complaint: I was a victim of online fraud. I reported an unauthorized purchase for {$3300.00} on XX/XX/19 through XXXX to Chase Bank because the money was taken from my debit card account. I have messages of me asking the seller to cancel the order, the seller never answered back and sent me an empty package. I filled up a police report. I sent the police report, pictures of the package ( I also have a video of me opening the package ) and screenshots of the messages to Chase bank. However, they refused to give me that refund because they said that they had " evidence, '' I asked them to send it to me. I received a letter and the evidence they found was the tracking number. I had the tracking number from the beginning, but that is not evidence of anything. I did not purchase that computer on XXXX, and I also received an empty package. The pseudo company of XXXX is called " XXXX. '' Someone signed for that package, and it was not me or someone I know. The address they wrote was also different to my address. The seller ( XXXX ) is doing something completely illegal. My money was supposed to be safe there, but it was not. The bank is not helping me and instead is giving the money to a criminal.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I purchased a treadmill from Amazon using my Chase Amazon Prime Rewards card which offered an 18-month, no interest, equal pay option. However, when I reviewed my statement I found that Amazon had billed the full amount. I made it clear to both Amazon and Chase bank that I was not disputing the purchase but only the billing yet neither one has been helpful in resolving this. In checking my most recent statement, I found that Amazon had rebilled the full amount. I contacted Chase who claimed since Amazon provided documentation and I had not the dispute was closed. I protested that I had not received any request for information from Chase, only to be told a call was " attempted '' on XX/XX/XXXX. The only call I received on XX/XX/XXXX was from XXXX. No message was left and there was no caller ID so it was sent to spam by my call filter. I XXXX the number but could find no identifying information and when I redialed the number, it would not connect. How on earth would I be expected to identify this as a call from Chase? When I communicated this to the agent I was told I'd receive a letter in the mail but " that could take 10 days. '' I asked if the charge could again be disputed and was told it could but since I had not responded to the initial request ( of which there was none ) I had to provide documents in writing which I mailed this morning. Furthermore, I have attempted to reopen the dispute since XX/XX/XXXX but have been repeatedly met with this error message - " It looks like this part of our site isn't working right now. Please try again later. '' This is a veiled attempt by Chase to prevent me from reopening the dispute. In digging deeper on Amazon 's website I found hidden language stating the full amount will be billed for these types of " payment '' plans. Either it's 18 equal monthly payments or billed in full but it can't be both. This practice is deceptive and misleading at best and both Amazon and Chase have been irresponsible in resolving this. This entire experience has been one of unending frustration with both Amazon and Chase so I am requesting your assistance in getting a resolution and the payment plan I was promised. I have also filed complaints with the FTC and the NYS Consumer Protection Bureau. Thank you

Complaint: I payed for a service that I did not receive. {$70.00} XX/XX/XXXX to someone named XXXX with the email XXXX thru my XXXX XXXX XXXX app that uses XXXX. He told me the next day ( XX/XX/XXXX ) that he did not receive it and if I wanted I could resend him the money so he could start and that when it comes in he would send me my money back. Therefor I sent him {$70.00} again XX/XX/XXXX after which I did not get the service and was no longer able to contact him. I then went thru XXXX XXXX XXXX to get the money back in which I was informed that they could not get the money back and that there was no fraud protection for me. They did infomed me that they would try to get the money back by contacting the other persons bank, Chase. There was no warning or disclaimer that this could happen as such I believed that my bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and XXXX ( since my bank was backing them ) would provide basic protections just like XXXX
