Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I am being charged for various items that were ordered with my card and shipped to the apartment I stay at in XXXX for work and school. When this incident happened I had just ate at a XXXX XXXX on XXXX that night then went to XXXX for the next 3 weeks. I spoke with chase card fraud services near the end of XXXX in hopes of resolving this issue. They began investigating and came to a conclusion that the charges were valid on XX/XX/XXXX even though I was not in XXXX during that period of time. I spoke to them again and the representative reopened the case on XX/XX/XXXX or so, then on XX/XX/XXXX the company told me the charges are valid and they have been reapplied to my card. I have not received any of the said items and I can not afford any of these things as I am just finishing college and going into the work force. The companies that the products came from identified having personal identifying information like my name, address, and email address. When I checked my email I found no trace of these companies in my spam, junk, or inbox folders. I also checked with my leasing office to see if any packages were delivered. I faxed copies of statements showing I was in XXXX during that period of time and Chase I guess overlooked that and said the charges were valid. I also included a copy of my work verification in the attachments, I didnt come to XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX, 4 days before I began work. When I spoke to chase on XX/XX/XXXX they let me know these things were delivered at the end of XXXX. I was in XXXX with my family during this time. I have also attached my credit card statement which proves I was in XXXX at the time of the incident. I find it odd that even after sending proof of my statements and then speaking with a chase representative on the XXXX named XXXX confirmed receiving the documents them still can not prove my case.
Below are the disputed charges : XXXX XXXX- {$150.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX- {$560.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX- {$44.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX {$4800.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX {$1900.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX- {$950.00} XXXX XXXX I had not heard of these companies at all until these charges occurred. I also filed a police report on XX/XX/XXXX with the XXXX police department. The case number is XXXX. I also filed a complaint with IC3 .gov on XX/XX/XXXX in hopes that they will catch the person that used my card.
Chase has told me to send them documents to prove my innocence, I sent them more than enough proof, including my XXXX XXXX statement from the period of time when I was in XXXX.
On XX/XX/XXXX I received the second statement from chase explaining they had ended their investigation and have confirmed I received benefit from 5 out of the 6 charges that were disputed. The one they said was fraud was the XXXX XXXX charge from XX/XX/XXXX. This further validates the lack of investigation the company instilled into this case. When I spoke to the company all three or four times they confirmed the products were delivered in the same time window, which was the period of time when I was out of town. I feel unjustly charged for something I did not do. Please take all these things into consideration. I have also included all statements from chase over the course of this period.

Complaint: Since XX/XX/XXXX Chase has been running " a credit application '' for various " amazon credit accounts '' that I'VE NEVER APPLIED FOR! I've filed various complaints and asked that they STOP! The previous complaint that I filed through you resulted in them " masking ' the inquiry but apparently not in them stopping the activity since on XX/XX/XXXX it was done again according to the attached letter. I WANT THEM TO STOP! In addition to this request I WANT THEM TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE IP ADDRESS THAT THE APPLICATION WAS SENT FROM SO THAT I CAN TURN IT OVER TO THE FBI INTERNET CRIMES DIVISION so the culprit can be prosecuted accordingly. I was told with the XX/XX/XXXX inquiry to ask for this information in writing so in addition to telling them to STOP, I want the IP information sent to me in this response. I want them to remove the fraudulent activity of course.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I had my chase account hacked and a {$1000.00} payment was sent thru XXXX to someone I have no idea about. Chase initially helped me with it, but they denied the claim for citing 3 reasons ( no password change, device had logged in multiple times and IP was local-but it was not my computers ip ).
As this is clearly FRAUD I should be 100 % covered, but they state that there is no appeal to their investigation ... no matter how flawed it may be.
I see a LOT of fraud stores about XXXX, you would think that the banks would be smart enough to prevent fraud like this or have some sort of a safeguard in place. If not they should refund any stolen $ 's.

If I made a stop payment over the phone on XX/XX/XXXX and they processed the stop payment on XX/XX/XXXX, they should have the telephonic recordings with them until XX/XX/XXXX.
I filed a complaint at the XXXX Chase Branch location on XX/XX/XXXX ( response and claim number attached below ), and on that date the branch confirmed it was an error on their part.
Given that I had already started to register a complaint when they had the audio recording, they should have saved the audio recording but unfortunately, they let time pass by and now they dont have the recording anymore.
I did mention my Full Name, Debit Card Number, Birth Date for verification on the phone, also verified the amount and who the Check # XXXX was addressed to. I did also mention which account the check should be issued from.
This is a clear mistake on Chase Bank 's part but they refuse to acknowledge. I am disappointed in the way they operate and do business.
Below is a Notice from Chase Bank that I received for a complaint filed on XX/XX/2019 from a Chase Bank branch location ( XXXX, WA ) before I filed another one from XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Their response clearly states it was a mistake on their part. Yet, I have not received my money back.

Fee problem
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I had gone in to open an account with XXXX XXXX for my son. I had forgotten my checkbook and had offered to pick it up since I live less than 5 minutes away. The banker who had opened the account had suggested that I did not need to go home and pick up my checkbook and that I could just do a transfer with my debit card, she did not mention any fees. She had told me to increase my limit and I had called Chase ( the bank which I am currently in ) to increase my limit on withdrawing from my checking account to the amount I wanted to put into the account ( {$55000.00} ). Chase had asked if it was for XXXX XXXX and I had said Yes, so they had done it for me for that day. At no point in time was there anything mentioned to me about a Fee that might be incurred through Chase as well. I had gone ahead and let XXXX XXXX open the account. Once the money was withdrawn I had noticed a fee of {$1500.00}, {$60.00} and {$60.00} that was incurred because of non cash atm. I realized XXXX XXXX transferred {$50000.00}, {$2000.00} and {$2000.00} into the accounts that I had opened with them and figured the fees were for that since it was on the same day. I had called XXXX XXXX about the fees, and they had told me that the fee was not charged by their Credit Union. So I then proceeded to call Chase about the fees, and they were able to reverse " {$120.00} '' for the two {$60.00} fees and had told me they could not reverse the {$1500.00} because it was too high and it had to go to upper level management. I then talked to XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( XXXX Branch Manager ) about the situation and he had told me that they are a Credit Union and that they had no way of knowing the fees of other institutions since they do not charge any fees at their Credit Union. My banker from Chase, XXXX XXXX ( XXXX Branch ) had tried to reverse the fee because he did not know about those fees as well and understands that it wasn't disclosed and it should have been, he had reached out to their back up office and I had received a phone call from XXXX ( ph : XXXX ext : XXXX ). She had stated to me that she will not reverse the money because it is not their job to disclose the fees and that if they do it for me they will have to change their policies and do it for everyone. She had also told me that their bankers, and the Chase representatives on the phone line do not all know about the fees and do not have to disclose the fees since it is not in their job duty. I had told her if they do not know about the fees, how am I supposed to know about it as a Chase Client? She then went on to say that it is disclosed on the chase account when you open a checking account. I have had Chase since Highschool ( about 20 years ago ) when it was WAMU, I do not go back and read fine print agreements everyday. If their own employees do not know about the fees, how am I supposed to know about it? A fee of that magnitude should have been disclosed to me in some way or another even if they had not known the fee amount. That had left a bad impression on me. If I had known that there was even a small fee, I still would not have gone through with the transaction and would have just gone home to pick up my checkbook. I have been a loyal customer to Chase and have pushed all of my money with them and it is upsetting that they charged me that ridiculous fee and did not tell me about it and would not refund me my own money back. I did not borrow any money, this is my own money from my own checking account, not a credit card that I am borrowing from. I, along with many others ( even people who work at Chase, apparently ) did not know about fees to withdraw your own saved money from your checking account. I had talked to XXXX XXXX about this, and they are putting in a new program and in service for all their employees to get trained on situtations like this that could arise from other institutional fees. Chase on the other hand, are doing nothing to help out with the situation, and only states that they cant refund me because they will have to refund everybody? That is letting me know that they want to charge ridiculous fees to people who do not know about the fees. It is not right. They aren't training their employees to disclose that their may be a fee if you pull out from your debit card. This is something that should be disclosed regardless. I feel like I have been tricked and they just wanted to take my money.

Unable to open an account
Complaint: I recently had a very unpleasant experience with Chase bank when opening a checking account.
I received a letter from Chase inviting me to open a Sapphire checking account with them, it offers XXXX rewards points if I open the account and transfer {$75000.00} within 45 calendar days.
So I opened the account online on XX/XX/XXXX and started transferring money from other bank accounts to this account on XX/XX/XXXX.
Couple of days later when I checked the status, I was surprised to find that my account was locked. What's more, my online access was suspended, which involved all my Chase credit cards as well ( I could still use the cards, but lost online access ). I haven't received any communication whatsoever from Chase, so I called the bank to find out why. They didn't offer any specifics but asked me to get into a branch. There's no branch in my vicinity, so I asked my husband to visit a branch that's close to his office.
My husband visited a branch on Friday XX/XX/XXXX. Again the branch personnel offered no specifics but asked me to show up in person at the branch.
Later the same day I received a letter from Chase, asking me to visit local branch and mentioned the account may be closed if I do not.
I'd like to keep the account open, so Monday XX/XX/XXXX, the next business day after I received the letter, I took time off work and visited Chase branch in XXXX. Upon arrival I was told that my account was already closed and they couldn't do anything about it.
I was told that this happened because I didn't initiate money transfer within 10 days of account opening, however the offer letter stated clearly that the transfer period was 45 days.
So in the end I wasted a lot of time just to get a closed account. The lack of communication and service from Chase bank is rather astonishing to say the least.

Can't close your account
Complaint: Hello, I was contacted by Chase concerning a debt that I owe on a credit card opened in my name. The credit card issued is not a card that I have ever possessed nor applied for. The account was fraudulently opened under my name. When I contacted Chase they stated that the card had been issued in XX/XX/XXXX and the account was bought by another company for collections. They then provided me with a phone number to contact regarding the account. When I called the number there was not an operator nor a legitimate company answering system. It was an recorded advertisement. I have contacted the FTC to report the fraud as well as XX/XX/XXXX. And now have put a freeze on my credit report throughXX/XX/XXXX. What are the next steps in removing the account from my name and reporting the Identity Theft? I would really like to have the account absolved from my name.

Complaint: Open check account. With the promise of XXXX dollars would be added to my account.
After my first direct deposit was made and it was over 500 dollars.
The amount deposited was well above the 500.
The deal said the coupon would be automatically applied.
Guess what. It was not.
Second direct deposit made. Again over well over the 500 dollar requirement.
Went to bank XX/XX/2019. After over an hour wait. Met with XXXX XXXX. Branch manager & 1st Vice President. His number is XXXX. They reviewed snapshots of my application on line. But could not figure why we did not receive a coupon.
But they would look into it.
Well was told we should know something by Wednesday. Wednesday has come and gone. Was not contacted. As he said he would. Talked on Thursday XX/XX/2019. It was like they have not done any thing. Today XXXX XXXX. He called and said : they have not done any thing.
It was shown on their snap shots. We have done every thing right and met all qualifications. Therefore it is a simple matter of and over ride and deposit the funds in our account. There is no reason to with hold funds. Unless it is a scam.
Still waiting on matter to be resolved.

Complaint: Good morning, I have been a member with Chase Bank for quite some time. I have a number of transactions on a regular. Owning over five websites, XXXX stores, along with XXXX stores. Most payments come into my XXXX account. However whenever a check payment is made it goes to Chase Bank. This is my hard working business. Recently a customer purchased a furniture set and other appliances. I pay the suppliers and they ship the products out. After the check was deposited and cleared my account became restricted. Not being able to make ANY payments for any bills. Ive contacted Chase bank. The customer Ive also contacted to call Chase as well. Ive been assured the funds are available from the customer. This is not fair and is inconsiderate of a Bank to treat hardworking members this way.
