Complaint: Horrible customer service, shady practices and really rude manager. I went to deposit a check with cash back and the guy runs the check, says I cant get cash back but can take check to XXXX to cash then bring back the cash for deposit. He STAMPED the back of the check stating " this would allow XXXX to cash it ''. I go to XXXX and they cant cash it BECAUSE ITS STAMPED ON THE BACK! I then go to Chase and talked to manager who is extremely rude. XXXX female manager that sits in office directly straight ahead when you walk in. She was really rude, short and sarcastic then tried to blame me although her worker is incompetent. Another teller deposited check, told me it would be available in morning. When the morning came, check was placed on further hold because it shows as a duplicate deposit! Loss prevention says it was because the man STAMPED THE BACK OF THE CHECK! Now my bills are behind, and I cant purchase the car I was attempting to buy ... This is the worst branch and people ever. The have shady practices and I wonder if there is some type of illegal activity they are doing.

Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers

Credit card or prepaid card: General-purpose credit card or charge card

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: In early XX/XX/2019, Chase offered 0 % APR and {$0.00} fees on balance transfers for a new Chase Slate card to an existing customer. However, Chase did not disclose that no balance transfers could be done from other Chase credit cards, even though that is exactly who they sent the offer to. As a consequence, I spent time and applied for a credit card that I had no use for and had to cancel. On XXXX XX/XX/2019 I applied for a Chase Slate credit card. I have a Chase Freedom Unlimited credit card already and I was logged in to my account at the time. I read a message from Chase while I was lodded in. The message was that I had a special offer from Chase for a Slate credit card, with 0 % APR for 12 months on balance transfers and {$0.00} balance balance transfer fees for balance transfers completed within 60 days of opening an account. In the application for the Chase Slate card, it provided fields for a balance transfer option. I input my Chase Freedom Unlimited account number and the maximum allowable balance transfer of {$15000.00}, expecting to transfer most of my Chase Freedom Unlimited balance to the new Chase Slate card. My new Chase Slate card was approved for a {$5700.00} credit limit. On XXXX XX/XX/2019, I called Chase to ask whether my balance transfer would go through at a limit of {$5700.00}. The customer service representative said she saw no indication of a balance transfer for the Slate card. She also said she could not do a balance transfer until I physically had my card. I received my Chase Slate card on XXXX XX/XX/2019. On XXXX XX/XX/2019, I called Chase to inquire about my balance transfer. An automated telephone response indicated my requested transfer of {$15000.00} had been declined. I spoke to a customer service representative and asked her to initiate a balance transfer from my Chase Freedom Unlimited card. She said she could not do this. I explained why I had applied for the Chase Slate card, and requested her to cancel the Slate card if she could not transfer a balance to it. I received confirmation from her that my Chase Slate card was closed during that conversation.

Complaint: My parents who are not in the states sent me a wire transaction of XXXX dollars XX/XX/2019 to my Chase checking account, however I provided a wrong account number but with all other information correct like my name and address etc. After we find out the fund didn't arrive at my account due to a wrong account number provided a week after XXXX, we filed a withdraw request to Chase bank asking for refund. Then Global solution center of Chase bank has been telling me they had been keep investigating it and they said that the fund has already went to the beneficiary 's account ( which is the wrong account ) and they were trying to get contact with that guy for the next 2-3 months during which they never updated with me even when they closed the case. After that I turned to a branch manager to ask for help and this kind manager have been helping me making a lot of calls to different department to ask about the investigating result. Then, after ending up with no result, the manager helped me escalate it to complain department which gave me a final decision that they won't be able to get the fund back. During the past 6 months, I have heard different versions from the Chase bank like the money has/has n't went to beneficiary 's account. Also Chase once said the my parents had the name that matched the wrong account number which is absolutely impossible. I understand that Chase should not be blamed for me providing the wrong account number, but how can they not even try to match the name for the account? Even some online purchase need to verify your billing address to approve the transaction.

Problem with a lender or other company charging your account

Checking or savings account: Savings account

Transaction was not authorized
Complaint: I filed a claim with Chase/XXXX in XXXX when a fraudster somehow got my Savings account information and used it to deposit money into his XXXX account. It was multiple transactions which totaled almost {$15000.00}. I got about {$1500.00} of it back. When I filed the claim, I was told by XXXX that it was their fault, therefore it should have been easy for my bank to get back. I was given a pullback number which I gave to Chase. XXXX is currently saying there is {$12000.00} available for Chase to get back. Chase is saying they don't know how to do that and that it's XXXX 's job to send the money back. XXXX is saying the bank has to file an ACH return for that. Even today I was on the phone with XXXX and they're saying they've never received anything from Chase. I've gone back and forth with them and they just keep blaming each other. I've gotten no help and I don't know what to do anymore. Can you help?

Credit card company forcing arbitration
Complaint: I received notice electronically via ( secured message ) from Chase Bank of a rule change to my credit card ( I have two through Chase ) agreements. The new rule includes a binding arbitration agreement. The only way to opt out is by hand written letter mail. I did not read the notice in time to hand write a note and mail. I believe Chase purposely did not allow for an electronic way to opt out knowing that most people would not have the time to hand write a note, buy a stamp and mail via snail mail with no proof of delivery that Chase could also deny.

Problem with a lender or other company charging your account

Checking or savings account: Checking account

Money was taken from your account on the wrong day or for the wrong amount
Complaint: On or about Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX when accessing my Chase Mobile App, Check No. XXXX " written '' in the amount of {$25.00} was pending for {$250.00}. This amount was eventually cleared and the amount {$250.00} was paid for check that clearly was written for {$25.00}. Chase was immediately contacted regarding this error. Chase Claims Department subsequently advised that since this was not a Fraudulent charge, a temporary credit could not be provided to the account, but rather this is an issue for the Research Department. I was then transferred to Customer Service who spoke with the Research Department where i was advised that the issue with the draft was in how the check was presented. This is inaccurate as clearly the back of the check demonstrates the check was deposited and not cashed " in person ''. I again contacted Chase Customer Service on bXX/XX/XXXX to again resolve this issue, still to no avail, however, i was advised that i would be assigned an individual who would assist in bringing this matter to a conclusion and my funds ultimately returned to my account. I again contacted Chase Customer Service on XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX, where i asked to be transferred to its executive team as i continue to not have access to the funds that were taken in error. I subsequently was advised that the matter would be assigned to an executive team member who would call me later in the afternoon. I never received that telephone call after now being on the second day of trying to resolve this matter. On XX/XX/XXXX, i was transferred to the executive team office where i was advised that this matter had been assigned to XXXX. In speaking with XXXX, it became evidence that she is in need of additional customer service service as her attitude was less than that of someone purporting to be part of an executive team. Not to mention she was unfamiliar and/or unwilling to advised me the policy and procedures of Chase when a customer experiences these types of issues, nor could she advise me of an actual date for which this matter would be resolve and i could reasonably expect access to my funds. At this point, i would like the funds erroneously taken from my funds to be replaced and/or someone provide a time certain as to when this matter will be resolved.

Closing on a mortgage

Mortgage: Other type of mortgage

Complaint: My complaint is about Washington Mutual participating in Mortgage Fraud. Even though the fraud began XX/XX/XXXX, I recently discovered it while looking up family real estate documents in XXXX County Courthouse records.Up until XX/XX/XXXX, I had a fiduciary Trust in all involved in the divorce court ordered sale of marital home. Also, there was either a forged signature at closing ( forgery has no SOL, ) or else a straw man to flip sale. The problem : I was given our jointly owned home pending divorce. But I couldnt afford its mortgage payments assigned by court, Court ordered home sold in 6 months. I lost control of house sale via Court.I was forced to sell home for only {$3500.00} more ( {$290000.00} ) than purchased new XX/XX/XXXX ( {$290000.00} ). Before home sale ordered, I added $ XXXX of upgrades thru my inheritance. My then spouse, XXXX XXXX, lived in home only 6 months before moving out. I paid everything about the home from day one, before forced to sell 3 years later. I paid notes and upkeep until my inheritance depleted inXX/XX/XXXX. My spouse was never forced to pay alimony or child support by court. I paid thousands in improvements, that house was my retirement. Because spouse never paid support, foreclosure loomed XX/XX/XXXX, & court took over after ordering sale. Problem : house flipped 4 months later, XXXX higher-its true worth-by mysterious buyer nobody saw. WAMU Mortgage should have closed out when XXXX XXXX & I sold house to the buyer I never met & who never desired to see home inside. But, XX/XX/XXXX, WAMU had my now ex husband and I sign a mortgage release lien from a different WAMU altogether, this in FL. But WAMU Mortgage was paid XX/XX/XXXX!! Why again, XX/XX/XXXX? People involved : ( 1 ) Me, victim, lost $ XXXX in mortgage fraud. ( 2 ) WAMU, applied second mortgage after house already soldXX/XX/XXXX. ( 3 ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, changed conventional mortgage to promissory note for mysterious buyer XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. ( 4 ) Ex spouse XXXX, forged name of XXXX XXXX. ( 5 ) Real Estate Agent XXXX XXXX XXXX whom I fired from selling home earlier for walking inside randomly. XXXX was same agent who sold house for flip. Documents : ( not in same order, sorry! ) ( 1 ) XX/XX/XXXX First Mortgage of home with XXXX XXXX. ( 2 ) assignment of same, on same day, to WAMU. ( 3 ) Court Record of XX/XX/XXXX sale recorded XX/XX/XXXX. ( 4 ) copy of sale of home XX/XX/XXXX, Closing XXXX XXXX XXXX disbarred for XXXX later, in XX/XX/XXXX. Also, doc incorrectly states spouse and I are single. Were not divorced until that XX/XX/XXXX. No real estate agents or buyer showed at closing, just spouse, XXXX XXXX and I, ( 5 ) Mysterious Buyer XXXX XXXX Contract On XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, who was seller? Also, note botched the zip code, it was XXXX. ( 6 ) promissory note for mysterious XXXX XXXX XXXX mortgage to buy XXXX XXXX onXX/XX/XXXX. Note XXXX XXXX XXXX On paragraphs 2 & 3, acts like for a rental, not for a sale. Also, two borrowed amounts for note, $ XXXX or XXXX? ( 7 ) Sale of XXXX XXXX XXXX contract in XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX, just 4 months later, $ XXXX higher ( $ XXXX ). ( 8 ) XX/XX/XXXX Lien Release by WAMU, my ex had me sign it, or something like it in XX/XX/XXXX. This time a Florida WAMU release.. ( 9 ) XXXX XXXX XXXX mortgage lien release for XXXX XXXX with wrong year : says released XX/XX/XXXX, should, XX/XX/XXXX. Also, XXXX XXXX own notary & employee notarized that she recognized her own boss (? ). Why? XXXX XXXX Boss claims in release he knew Mysterious Buyer. But that is not what is notarized.
