Complaint: I had money in my savings account to pay my rent. It was taken and put into my over-drawn checking account without my permission. I spoke with a supervisor XXXX XXXX who was very condescending and kept saying " Why do you have to be reminded to put money in your account '' kept saying it over and over again. I told her I am not a child and she ca n't talk to me like that. I did not authorize money to be taken from my savings and put into my checking account. I told her to let me talk to someone else and she transferred me to a voice mail for XXXX XXXX. My account is overdrawn mostly by fees.

Complaint: The fees associated with Hunnington are very high and not necessary. Since XXXX of 2015 Hunnington made a mistake on double charging debit card holders one weekend. They did fix the fees associated with the account. But since then we have incurred lots of fees that have financially ruined my income and life. In XXXX there were almost {$700.00} in fees, XXXX {$500.00}, and who knows what I am accumilating this month. The customer service I am recieving is " there is nothing we can do about this '' they are telling me to watch my account better and use my ledger better that is all. I have been lied to from the customer service representives and then still charged fees and the bank refused to correct them. XXXX XXXX - I asked if the deposit on the XXXX would cover any negative charges. The customer service advised that I was in 24 hour grace and there would be no fees. So I found out I had XXXX {$37.00} fees the next morning. I called and asked them to waive them, they said I am not elgible. I was told to go to the branch and do a " Force Pay '' and went to the branch. Guess what they said they could n't do the " force pay ''. So I was lied too XXXX. in that XXXX instance. Other promises and lies are " pay this now so no fees get incurred tomorrow '' So I deposit the balance. Wake up and there are the fees. The same run around after numerous supervisors and chats. " Sorry your not elgible for any more fee reversals ''. I have lost upwards of {$1100.00} in fees in 3 months with this bank. They have charged a {$37.00} fee for a {$1.00} transaction. These are irreprehensible and I can not get any solution. The Michigan Attorney General suggested I reach out to Consumer Finacial Protection.

Complaint: I sold my house in XXXX, both loans were paid recorders office and title office both show all loans paid and no leans on the sold property. My daughter and I bought a house in XXXX the one bank that the sold house had said that they did not receive any payment and had a lean on the old sold property. They told the realtor that they would over look the lean but I would have to pay the loan back that I had paid before. I 'm still paying the loan that I paid off in XXXX, the bank told me if I did not pay they would come after me and my family.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX has taken an excessive amount of time to process a loan request for her client, which in turn is holding up XXXX closings contingent on closing this loan, which I am the seller. She has assured everyone involved that this loan is moving as fast as possible yet we seem to be getting no where. Every loan down the line is approved and waiting on XXXX XXXX to do her job in a timely manner. She has given XXXX possible loan closing dates with none going through. Now we are in the XXXX season and everyone expected to be moving into homes before XXXX which does not appear is going to happen. She does not return phone calls, text or messages. She sends one reply after hours so no one can contact her. Her client is upset, I am hot. Does this woman realize that she is affecting numerous loans and lives that are all contingent on her doing her job. We are losing locked in interest rates, past contract dates etc., and she says we should be able to get them extended because she extended her clients. It should not have to come to that and and it would n't if she would have been on the ball from the beginning. If she has to many responsibilities maybe she should be relieved of some so that the loan can be processed in an efficient manner.

Complaint: My Daughter posted her prom dress online to XXXX for sale. She received a response from XXXX XXXX. He told my daughter through a text that he would be leaving town for a business trip and that his business partner would send her a check via mail. She received the Check on XXXX/XXXX/15. XXXX sent a text claiming that their was an error made that his business partner sent the wrong amount. The check was in the amount of {$1800.00} and should have been in the amount of {$660.00}. XXXX asked my daughter to keep the amount owed to her and send back the remainder through XXXX XXXX. My daughter asked me to deposit the check into my savings account. I then took her to Huntington Bank where she signed over the check to me. I deposited a XXXX cashier check into my savings account in the amount of {$1800.00}. XXXX responded once the check clears to send back the remainder amount. On XXXX/XXXX/15 I went back to the bank to see if the check had cleared, I was advised that it was. I withdrew the overpayment in the amount of {$1200.00} which left a balance in my account of {$880.00}. I went to XXXX XXXX and sent a money order. The next morning my daughter received a text message from XXXX claiming there was an issue with the money order so he asked her to go back and get a refund from XXXX XXXX and asked it to be sent through a money gram. My daughter worked that day so she had me go to XXXX and purchase a money gram and send it. On XXXX/XXXX/15 I received a text alert from Huntington Bank concerning my account. The text stated a {$10.00} returned deposit fee. I then went to Huntington Bank located XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX Ohio ( inside XXXX XXXX ). I spoke with the Assistant Manager XXXX to inquire about the text alert. He explained to me that the check came back as a fraudulent check. XXXX said that the check went through several security measures after clearing my account before the bank realized it was not an authorized XXXX check. XXXX stated that the checks appearance looked authentic to the point it fooled the bank. This check had bank security codes, a water mark and even the colored bar. At this time I was n't sure of all that just took place due to shock. XXXX suggested that we call and make a police report. I called the local XXXX Police Department. Officer XXXX arrived and took both mine and XXXX 's statement. XXXX made bank security aware of the situation by filing a complaint so an investigation would take place. I received many text alerts stating that each of my accounts were over withdrawn with a negative balance, which caused multiple overdraft fees. Not only was my personal account and funds effected but my XXXX year old daughters accounts were effected as well. I made several trips to the bank and made many phone calls to speak with the manager to have this resolved. I was informed that he was busy and would return my call. I never received a return call from anyone. I was also told someone from security would call, they never did. After the Banks review XXXX called to confirm that the bank did not find me in favor and are holding me responsible for all monies and fees. He also explained that the bank would agree to let me make payment arrangements to clear the account. I replied that I felt they were treating me as if I was the criminal. He told me to imagine if the criminal was caught and possibly prosecuted that he more then likely would not be able to pay the bank back and someone has to be held responsible. He said because this is your account you would be responsible for the banks money. He then threatened if I did not take care of the account that my name will be put on a list of writing bad checks and I will never be able to bank with any banks. While the investigation with the police is still on going I am the victim, I was robbed, I am still acquiring multiple fees, and left without resolution from the bank.

Complaint: Huntington National Bank had a system issue causing some debits to double charge. Huntington was well aware of this issue as they had banner notifications on thier website while they were working thru the problem. My account was double charged and as promised, huntington reversed those charges. They did not however reverse the Overdraft fee caused by this double charging. I called in and spoke with a telephone banker and teh banker was able to reverse those charges for me over the phone as well as a extended overdraft fee that was also a result of the original overdraft. A day later ( unbeknownst to me ) Huntington reversed the refund off my account. This caused other OD fees when I used my debit card. Huntington now says the charges are my fault when my statement ( screenshot attached ) clearly shows the errors.

Complaint: I have already made XXXX complaint against Huntington Bank about my families mortgage. We have lost our house to the bank which was unfair and should have never happened and now we are getting notices from Huntington Bank telling us we need to insure the house we DO NOT own since XXXX XXXX of 2015. I have contacted Huntington Bank about this notice and was told that there is NO record of the Forclosure in the Huntington Bank records at the higher up building and they make a note of this Forclosure. We have now received a second notice telling us to insure the house that Huntington Bank has bought at the sheriff sale in XXXX of 2015. We would like to move on with forgetting what was done to us since we lived in this house for 23 years and we was pushed out with NO legal right to do so.
