Complaint: Opened an account with Huntington National Bank this year. liked the sunday hours. foolishly took XXXX bad checks from a scammer promising a loan, totalling more than XXXX. which was charged to me once they were n't honored. XXXX Police have a report. Huntington put account under review. then today said bank is closing account. Real sympathetic, huh? Problem is my paycheck from XXXX XXXX was to deposit today. They told me I had a XXXX balance. and check would be sent back. in 2 or 3 business days. at which point employer could reissue paper check. that could take next all of next week. Meantime I have no money, no gas and I need groceries. I want my money. I do n't have any other money. I 'd get a payday loan, but I made a typo on account number at XXXX, and that got held up. ARGGGGH.

Complaint: I logged on to my bank checking account this morning and found a miscellaneous pending charge. When I called the bank to find out what this charge was, they claim it is a check that was submitted and since my account went negative that it was it was pending to see if would be paid or returned. Huntington has my account set up to pay any overdrafts and then I have the 24 hour grace to put funds into the account before I would be charged a fee. Huntington said they could not tell me who this charge was from and that this was a new policy that was implemented this week. I told them that I did not write a check for this amount and I needed to know who was trying to take the money out of my account and they refused to tell me.

Complaint: I am not sure if this is the correct forum to file this complaint, but I was told by my mortgage agent this would be a place to start at. My wife and I purchased a foreclosure home, from Huntington Bank, in XXXX, Ohio. We made an offer on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and agreed to terms on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Upon entering contract we were told we needed to have financing in place, and an inspection done by XXXX XXXX, XXXX. We obtained our mortgage commitment letter XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and were told we would be clear to close as soon as an appraisal was carried out. All that was needed was for the home to be dewinterized, and utilities to be restored. However the bank failed to notify us that the company in charge of this task was not acting on its responsibilities. As a result we listed our home for sale, and it sold within XXXX hours. We were lead to believe that the transaction was going as scheduled, and proceeded with the sale of our home. XXXX we tried to schedule inspections, prior to the appraisal, but they were delayed due to the lack of utilities, which we were told would be turned on within a week ( as of XXXX XXXX, XXXX ). However delays started to mount up, and by XXXX XXXX, XXXX, we were still waiting for the appraisal, with a closing date of XXXX XXXX, XXXX set on our current home and no way to delay the closing. On that sate I found out that none of the utilities had been turned on, and a new company would be brought in to rectify the issues. It was n't until I called the utility companies, on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, that I found that the bank had been delaying the turn on of utilities, and as a result delaying the appraisal and our closing. I was able to get the utilities turned on by XXXX XXXX, had the appraisal completed, and was told by my mortgage company ( as well as Huntington Bank ) that we would be able to close on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, once the documents were received. However Huntington Bank called on XXXX XXXX, at XXXX pm ( XXXX minutes before their title agency closed ) to cancel our closing ; leaving my wife, myself, and our XXXX animals homeless. We were not able to close until the following Wednesday ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) at XXXX XXXX. During this time I was unable to work, we had to board our animals, and we lost a number of deposits and food in the process. We feel it is absolutely outrageous that the bank was able to delay our closing, with little or no notice, while being in breach of a contract they insisted on.

Complaint: I bank through hunington bank and I have been ripped off by XXXX I stopped my auto pay notified the bank they still allowed the transaction to go through then returned everything that was already pending and charged me a fee on all transactions up to the {$1000.00} mark after disputing it on both sides the bank declared it as my problem and XXXX has admitted fault and is willing to refund the money and the bank refuses to change the fees due to there error of not stopping it disputing it in a timely manner so that this would not happen

Complaint: We had a mortgage loan with Huntington Bank and we are having difficulties in getting corrected yearend statements produced for the years affecting XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. There seems to be incorrect coding in Huntington 's servicing system where it was not recognizing a bankruptcy that was discharged in XX/XX/XXXX.?? In XX/XX/XXXX both my ex-husband and myself filed a bankruptcy XXXX because of a failed XXXX. The BK was in fact discharged in XXXX XXXX. No reaffirmation was filed. In XX/XX/XXXX we tried to sell the home but was unsuccessful because we owed more than what it was worth. We had several short sale offers come in on the home but with repeated delays on Huntington 's end, we lost all offers. Because of delays and poor customer service by Huntington 's Loss Mit/short sale department caused the home to go to sheriff sale in XXXX XXXX. In XXXX and XXXX XXXX I received several XXXX forms from XXXX and XXXX that were prepared by Huntington. When I received the forms I called Huntington. I left a message with a rep who I explained what my phone call was about. She guaranteed me that someone will contact me back within a week ... ..which of course did not happen. I called again and finally spoke with a supervisor along with a manager and requested a correction. Because of the bankruptcy being discharged and with no reaffirmation filed, we were no longer liable for the debt. I was expecting a correction which would clearly state a " correction '' on the form along with not marking the form " not liable ''. The supervisor did say the proper BK coding was not there and corrections were made. The supervisor advised me that a correction will be sent on the XXXX form but I should disregard the XXXX form since that was an error. Even with receiving what I received and speaking with both the supervisor and XXXX I still felt the proper corrections were not sent to the IRS. Now in XX/XX/XXXX I received not only a XXXX but I received a XXXX on a house that was sold in XXXX XXXX??? The XX/XX/XXXX form came from Huntington Bank ... why? Why would we get these forms? I would like an answer from Huntington advising me that the proper corrections were made to the IRS in XX/XX/XXXX and why am I getting forms for XX/XX/XXXX. When it comes to the IRS I certainly do not want improper information sent to them.

Complaint: Huntington Bank is refusing to produce the records requested by a subpoena dated XXXX XXXX, 2015, for copies of specific documents from an IRA account for a deceased account holder. It appears Huntington Bank issued checks to the wrong beneficiaries on the IRA account of concern. Huntington Bank personnel indicated they disbursed beneficiary checks to XXXX ( XXXX ) individuals and they provided the names of those individuals ( XXXX sisters and XXXX nieces of the deceased account holder ). A Huntington Bank document in my possession indicates there was only XXXX ( XXXX ) primary beneficiary ( XXXX of the sisters of the deceased ) and XXXX secondary beneficiaries listed on the beneficiary document. The beneficiary document indicates that secondary beneficiaries are not supposed to inherit any monies unless all primary beneficiaries are deceased. The primary beneficiary is alive. On the document we possess it is noted that the primary beneficiary is supposed to receive 25 % of the account funds. Therefore, the remaining 75 % of the account funds are supposed to be probated ( or distributed via a settlement between the parties ). I am a probate beneficiary and I also am acting on behalf of the other probate beneficiaries for this account. Huntington Bank is also refusing to provide our attorney, me, and the primary beneficiary with the requested documents. Huntington Bank 's failure to comply with the subpoena is creating additional stress, attorney fees and expenses for me and the other beneficiaries, as well as causing a serious delay in the resolution of this probate estate matter and further duress by this delay. Huntington Bank needs to provide copies of actual requested documents to our attorney immediately. If Huntington Bank is not able to provide copies of actual documents matching the distribution made by their agents, Huntington Bank needs to request that their insurance company restore the funds to the IRA account and await further instructions from our attorney regarding the proper distribution of the beneficiary funds. Also, Huntington Bank billed our attorney {$16.00} for sending our attorney a letter with the information improperly provided ; the subpoena requested copies of actual documents and not someone 's typed interpretation of those documents ; Huntington Bank needs to reimburse me for that charge ( passed on to me by our attorney ). Huntington Bank will also need to reimburse me for all attorney fees, legal fees, expenses and court costs created by their mistakes and improper delay of this case. Thank you for your assistance.
