Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I submitted a check for payment of merchandise in the amount of {$110.00} to XXXX XXXX. The company that they use to authorize checks, Certegy, refused to authorize the check and told the cashier she could not give a reason and told her to tell me to call my bank. Called my bank on XXXX XXXX. They explained they have nothing to do with this and it never came in to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Called Certegy ( see online they had a fine of XXXX dollars against them in XX/XX/XXXX ). They told me it had nothing to do with my credit or anything to do with me. It was their computer model. Their programmers seem to be incompetent. How many other people has this happened to. I have a debit card from my business account but I did n't want to use my business account for this purchase. I have excellent credit. Certegy is denying people with no history of bounced or bad checks for no good reason.

On their resolution they said " disputed information has been verified to be accurate '' If you see the dates of this complaint and the attached XXXX XXXX letters dated XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, confirming the account was settled in full in XX/XX/XXXX and stating that XXXX XXXX requested ChexSystems to update the account accordingly both entities are in non compliance of the FCRA. The issues in dispute are the account terms, status, the obligation to provide accurate information, the obligation to update it on timely manner.

Inadequate help over the phone
Complaint: I tried to cash my WV XXXX tax refund ( {$97.00} ) at XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/16 at XXXX. I received a notice that my check was declined by Certegy. When I called the number on the receipt, I received a recording that it was nothing I did wrong and that I should take my check to a non Certegy retailer. Then the call just ended. I was not given an option to speak to anybody. It did this at least 6 times. Finally, I googled Certegy to get a number. I spoke with XXXX ( Rep ID # XXXX ). I asked why it was declined and she refused to tell me. She said that she could not give me that information because I was not the owner of the account. She also said the WV Tax Dept. needed to call them to verify the check before they could clear me out of their system. I called the WV Tax Dept. After being on hold for almost TWO HOURS, I was told that there is nothing wrong with the check and that Certegy has declined almost all refund checks from the State of WV this year. The Tax Dept. says they will not call because they have had SO many reports of this happening that they just do not have time or enough staff to call on each and every check. I have never written a check so I know that I have no bad checks outstanding. I do not have a bank account, can not afford to open XXXX and should not have to do so. Certegy is refusing to okay my transaction without telling me why. It just seems like a huge run around - the merchant says it is Certegy 's fault, Certegy says it is the Tax Dept 's fault and the Tax Dept says it is Certegy. I just want my money as I do n't make much and really need it. This is unfair for Certegy to decline transactions without giving me a reason or making it appear that I have done something wrong. If it is nothing I 've done, and it is a government check that is valid, they have no reason to decline the transaction. In addition, getting any information on why it was declined or how to fix it has been a nightmare. Certegy should not be allowed to commit fraud in the name of " fraud protection ''. While on the phone, they offered to sign me up for a free " VIP '' service that will monitor my credit report. I have never had a credit card and have no reason to have a service like that. I believe Certegy is declining my check in order to enroll me in a service that I will end up paying for in some fashion. Please make them stop this!!! I have no idea who else to call or how else to fix this situation.

Complaint: When I try to open an account with XXXX XXXX at XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX, they run the credit report ( ChexSystems ) and the credit report history come out with XXXX unpaid/account abuses. I never banking with those XXXX banks and called them to find out what is going on. Both of banks said I did n't banking with them before and do n't even an account with them. Also I run another XXXX credit reports separately but none of them had same or any unpaid records. I think this Chex Systems report is wrong and want to corrected. Please help me out on this case.

Problem getting my free annual report
Complaint: I recently applied for a XXXX XXXX product, a checking account. I was informed that I did not meet the expectations, hence declined. I assumed that as a result of this inquiry my credit card company has usage imposed restrictions on my credit card ( longer holds, etc. ). Nonetheless, I was told I had a right to know what my credit report had that I was not aware. The agency they reference in the letter was Checksystems. My experience in the past was very negative. I requested a report about three months ago and never received such request. I wondered what is being reported since I was rejected. This is not the first time I have encounter rejections referencing information on consumer report. I have filed previous situations with this agency about them.

Complaint: On XXXX, I was declared XXXX by XXXX. I did n't have income and I overdraft my checking account. In XXXX XXXX, I begun to work again and I wanted to pay and continue using my checking account but the bank closed it and told me I have a balance for {$1500.00} aprox. I told them I wanted to pay and asked if they could give me a discount, they agreed to discount % XXXX so I paid {$1200.00} aprox and they open another checking account. On XXXX XXXX, I open an account with a credit union offered as benefit from my employer and after gave the member number, online access and pay {$20.00}, they sent me XXXX line email asking for proof that I took care of that balance. I was n't sure what they were talking about, because I have no knowledge of any balance with my bank so I asked them to provide any information so I could verify it. The credit union wont provide the a copy of the information but when I told them I would need some info to find out what was happening they told me that it was reported to chexsystems in XXXX XXXX and with a {$1700.00} aprox balance and that the checking account was closed by them, with a mark of " abuse ''. I asked them what does it mean and they told me I overdraft the checking account. I told the credit union that that info was n't right, that it 's an error and asked them what they want me to do to demonstrate it. The lady, who is the credit union CEO, told me that no matter what I show to her she will not allow my account. Two days later I received a check for {$20.00} and no explanation of expulsion. I have been wrongfully expelled, I talked with the bank and they told me they will updated chexsystems between the last Saturday and the next XXXX and also they will provide a letter specifying I paid on XXXX in full and there is no balance. When I talked by phone with the credit union to apply for membership they treated me normally but when I arrived to the branch they changed completely and ignored me until they saw I stayed there waiting for them to attend me. Then they made all the process impossible, first to get the member number, then the online account, then the verification of the balance with the other bank. I even offered to show the statements so they could see I paid the balance but first the asked for a phone number on the bank, then a letter and when I told them I was expecting it in the next few days the CEO told me she did n't care and I left. I also consider they have discriminated against me because national origin and XXXX.

Frequent or repeated calls
Complaint: Robocalls continued to our office for months claiming we needed to call the number of Complete Collection Services concerning a debt collection case.
There was no way to stop the calls without calling back the harrassers.
I finally had to take time pout of my business day to contact these people to stop harassing us with this imaginary debt scam.
When a person answered and I gave then the number of the phone line that was being called they admitted it was the wrong number.
It is not the responsibility of innocent consumers to fund the activities of these clowns because they ca n't be bothered to check the facts or at least be the ones paying the people to waste time on this.
