Complaint: I just accessed ChexSystems ( XXXX/XXXX/16 @ approx. XXXX ) to request my consumer report. Once I entered all my information, including Social Security Number and date of birth, I could not submit the request due to the fact that the system stated the verification code was incorrect. I repeated entering a different code 4 times. After the fourth time I got the message that an error had occurred.
I experiencd this same problem a few days ago when I attempted to order my XXXX consumer report.
I would like CFPB to investigate whether this is a tactic to limit consumers from getting their reports.

Complaint: This is regarding a reported entry on my Chex system reported that I have disputed on at least 3-4 separate occasions. I received i the mail today a letter from Chex Systems stating that they were not going to remove the reported information from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX because it does n't fall within the date that is listed on my credit report. My problem is this same credit union has reported the same information on the same report at least 3 times and they just change the date and the amount. I have disputed this over and over again every since earlier this year. It needs to be removed

Problem with statement of dispute
Complaint: I am filing this complaint because ChexSystems has demonstrated some seriously broken " investigative '' processes of consumer initiated disputes. ChexSystems does not follow a well articulated investigative process, but instead launch " re-investigations '' on their own accord without the consumers request, that yield differing results than prior investigations. They refuse to provide information to consumers that substantiate the outcome of their investigations. Sadly, Chex also adds inaccurate information to consumer files at the whim of their broken administrative processes.
ChexSystems absolves themselves of any responsibility for the accuracy of information contained in their systems, but instead casts responsibility to their customers, and forces the consumer to address problems directly with ChexSystems customers, unless providing a police report. Unfortunately some police agencies do n't issue " police reports '' when a crime has not been clearly consummated. In some cases a consumer may want to guard against the release of accurate consumer information to prevent perpetuating additional fraud.
Having gone through investigations with XXXX other Credit Reporting Agencies over the same set of fraudulent inquiries without a " police report '', ALL of the interactions with other Credit Reporting Agencies were consumer friendly, were well defined, were conducted in a professional manner without putting personal information at risk, did not require " re-investigations '', and resulted in the complete removal of all fraudulent and inaccurate information in my consumer file at their firms.
Details of the interactions with ChexSystems are contained in the attached file. ChexSystems does not provide direct contact information to a consumer to consult directly with a ChexSystems employee. Every communication sent from ChexSystems is sent to the consumer anonymously.

Investigation took too long
Complaint: Certegy check services is a third party check cashing company whose client is a local casino. I cashed a check for {$52.00} ( including a sizable fee ) on XXXX/XXXX/2016 at XXXX XXXX. My bank notified me by text immediately that a charge was attempting to clear my account that appeared fraudulent. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX immediately and assured them that the charge was valid and to pay it. Within hours, the bank had paid the check by forced ACH and I was advised that the recipient may experience a delay of up to 72 hours before the funds were visible as " cleared '' in their account. Having had previous run ins with Certegy, I called them immediately and explained the situation which was already affecting my ability to cash checks at over XXXX retailers ( all still XXXX ). They would not allow me to file a report until 7 days had passed, but I insisted and ultimately was told my account would be noted. On the 7th day, I filed a complaint. I proceeded to call and file a complaint weekly to no avail. At the end of the first thirty day period, ( XXXX ) I called and filed a complaint that their response was not timely. At this point I had a bank officer call Certegy with me on XXXX way to verify any needed information. I also, faxed, emailed, and mailed copies of my bank statement showing the check was paid. Further, I confirmed its paid status with the actual merchant, XXXX who also called Certegy on my behalf. Certegy insists on placing the burden of evidence on the consumer, and has not once provided me evidence that the check did not clear, any evidence that the electronic check was even initiated by me ( no signatures or anything ), and refuses to connect me with their disputes department directly. Each time I contact them I have to call a call center and sit in a phone bank and restate the entire history. To date I have called and complained 17 times and it has now been nearly 90 days since the transaction, which Certegy 's own client agrees the item was paid. Meanwhile, I have been denied services by various retailers a total of 22 times as a direct result of this one incorrectly reported transaction. Certegy is ambivalent to my frustration and has provided zero avenue of relief. They incorrectly place the burden of proof on me the consumer, when clearly I have exhausted every reasonable method of proving the transaction was paid, including providing the serial number of the forced ACH, a federally generated number that proves the item paid. Certegy has not only violated the FCRA repeatedly by not conducting a timely investigation, failing to remove harmful information that has been proven without a doubt false, committed slander, and generally failed to provide any scintilla of evidence that the debt was not paid other than a report that has not been updated since XXXX/XXXX/2016. I pray for relief by correction of the record at hand, as well as any punitive damages that I may be entitled to for Certegy 's willful and wanton failure to acknowledge my complaints, failure to prove the negative information reported, and failure to act reasonably by any standard under the circumstances. Certegy 's actions have not only cost me significant hardships financially, but also embarrassment and undeserved frustration over and over again. Please assist me.

Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. I have contacted Chex Systems Inc on numerous occasions and have found that they flagrantly violate the provisions in the Fair Credit Reporting Act. My previous financial institution, XXXX XXXX, had a date breach and/or hack several years ago which resulted in my sensitive personal information being shared with over XXXX people. The information included my full name, driver 's license, date of birth and social security number. I have had to dispute numerous accounts opened in my name as a result. I previously disputed the XXXX accounts that are being reported on my credit file with Chex Systems directly with Chex Systems and have now filed a complaint via the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau which Chex Systems responded to. Chex Systems claims to have investigated my previous disputes. Upon my communication with the XXXX companies that have reported information to Chex Systems ( XXXX XXXX Bank and XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank ) I was told by XXXX companies that Chex Systems never forwarded them my complaint and that they were not aware of any identity theft because Chex Systems never told them. I had these conversations with both companies over the phone and XXXX XXXX sent me the attached letter confirming the conversation and letting me know that they told Chex Systems to remove this information. In the response I received from Chex Systems Inc this week through the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau they stated that they would not remove the information - this after the provider of this information has told me in writing that they have requested Chex Systems remove this information immediately. I have attached to this complaint a copy of the written communication from XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank which informs me that they have instructed this credit bureau to follow the law under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and to remove the information from my credit file. I have previously supplied Chex Systems with a copy of the letter from XXXX regarding the identity theft and also provided in the previous complaint filed with the CFPB. In XXXX letters I have attached the financial institutions have provided contact information for any third party to contact to confirm any information. In reaching out to XXXX Bank I was told that they also have no record of Chex Systems contacting them to validate this identity theft. To date I have contacted Chex Systems numerous times and spent hours of my time attempting to rectify this situation and have provided written notice with contact information for them to validate my claim of identity theft and to date they have not honored my rights under the FCRA and attempted to validate my claim.

Right to dispute notice not received
Complaint: Paid auto repair service with a check from my XXXX credit card account on XXXX/XXXX/16. My check was accepted by the business. I received a written notice via mail from XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/16 that the check had been denied. I contacted the auto repair business to settle the debt but was told that they had been paid. They referred me to Certegy check services along with a case number. I contacted Certegy and found out that my debt had been turn over to Complete Payment Recovery, a collection agent. I paid the debt including the {$40.00} recovery fee. Certegy did not give me any notification of the payment denial or that the debt was being sent to a collection agent.

Complaint: I had an overdrawn account at XXXX XXXX XXXX. Due to a long hospitalization from a XXXX, my account went over. I was able to pay the overdraft amount including penalties totaling {$170.00}. Now in order to open another account I have to wait 7 years or pay Chexsystems {$380.00}. I think this is unfair. I paid the overdraft amount plus all fees. And now I have to pay double just to open a bank account.

Complaint: I was denied a small business checking account because I have " fraudulent activities '' on my Chexsystems report. I have no fraud, no bounced checks, no NSF charges, and no late payments. This is hampering my ability to do business and it 's unwarranted. The number that they have listed on their joke of a website just tells you to file a report. Once I finally googled a phone number that let me talk to someone, they were outrageously rude, even swearing at me and hanging up on me twice. They did n't let me speak to management, and said " good luck with your problem, we ca n't help you. '' How is this place allowed to do business? It is an embarrassment for the country to have a " consumer reporting agency '' to be doing business like this. It is costing XXXX people the chance to open bank accounts. Their " dispute '' process is equally embarrassing. If you end up on their list, you 're pretty much XXXX, whether it 's your fault or not.

Complaint: I was going to write this in a written letter but seeing as how I am getting multiple first notices, I will respond through the CFPB. The reason why XXXX never received their payment for the selected dates were that I blocked XXXX from taking out of my account. All domain names were paid for the year and all other services were canceled except for XXXX website that was being paid out of my personal account until I switch everything to a new hosting service. XXXX attempted to charge my company, XXXX XXXX XXXX for over XXXX dollars and my bank will testify to this if they need to. There is no one is n't the world that could have a XXXX dollar bill with XXXX, if anything is reported on my company negatively reguarding this issue, I will sue Complete Payment Recovery Services and XXXX for illegally trying to steal money out of my account and from my company. This is the only warning, cease and desist or I will see you in court.
