Complaint: I received a debt collection from FCO XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MD XXXX # XXXX Acct # XXXX for XXXX on the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$170.00} I called XXXX credit bureau and they said, " This is wierd, they only have a name and address, nothing else!. They removed it from my credit report. I tried calling the company and spoke to XXXX ; it is for an apt . complex in XXXX florida ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) .It occured on XX/XX/2015. Apparently someone tried to rent an apt using pieces of my information. the fee is for application, administrative fee, and NSF.I asked for documentation from the apt . community ; what proof of ID, etc. Since I refuse to give them even my phone number ; I was to call them back a few days later. I then got XXXX XXXX ; he refused to look into the information unless I provided my soc. sec. # and b/d. I said no way XXXX! I explained they didn't have the real info when they attempted to put it on my credit report ; I asked what have you done to verify anything. I get real annoyed when someone gets sneaky with my information. I have never bounced a check, paid a bill late, and have excellent credit!

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: I do not know

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I noticed a collection account on several of my credit reports from FAIR COLLECTIONS & XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MD XXXX. I submitted a dispute for this company alleged debt against me, as I have no knowledge of this debt. I was notified by both XXXX and XXXX XXXX that the debt " meets FCRA requirements '' and would remain on my record. I wrote letters to both XXXX XXXX and XXXX as well as '' FAIR COLLECTIONS '' for written verification of this debt which I am entitled to under the FCRA. I have not received any form of communication in writing in regards to this alleged debt from anyone to this point. Under Florida law, my state of residence, debt collectors must hold a licence under the Florida Department of Financial Regulations. For fear this company may be some sort of scam I checked the Florida Department of Financial Regulations to check to see if FAIR COLLECTIONS & O XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MD XXXX hold a valid licence in my state to act as debt collectors, The company does NOT. My research I preformed on the verify a licence portal of FDFR did not show as them to NOT even be a legitimate debt collector in the state of Florida. I would like this false debt deleted off of my record.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Other debt

Debt is not yours
Complaint: My husband and I had a lease with an end date of XX/XX/XXXX We were notified form the leasing office we needed a a 60 day notice letter regardless to move and, that was sent via email XX/XX/XXXX and was mandatory from the Building that we give them 60 day vacate notice regardless of lease end date which seems ridiculous as I would be able to leave on the date my obligation is up on the contract/lease. So our new move out date was XX/XX/XXXX. Upon moving out we were contacted later that we still owed rent for the months the apt was not rented. Pease also note they dramatically increased the rent during this time. they finally rented the apt after 5 weeks and are trying to hold us responsible for the rent in that interim. We are not rent responsible for anything beyond XX/XX/XXXX. We submitted a dispute and it was deleted XX/XX/XXXX. They replaced it on my credit report as of XX/XX/XXXX In the total charges there are rent charges and cleaning charges for move out charges we dispute as well, the cleaning fee of {$150.00} for the refrigerator which is highlighted at only $ XXXX- {$50.00} in our lease. Lastly we are disputing the {$400.00} parts fee for stovetop replacement as the stove was in that condition upon move in and its normal wear and tear it was in working condition and we were told that was normal for an electric stovetop. This company continues to harass us even though all paperwork was uploaded

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account information incorrect
Complaint: I moved out of the apartment I rented before lease expiration date as it was dangerous to continue living there. There was a crack in the concrete ceiling that was growing in length and width and the landlord refused to fix it. I paid for the months I lived there in full. The landlord demanded two additional rents plus {$300.00} and they reported ( and probably sold this 'debt ' to FCO ( debt collection agency ). The collector sent me a letter demanding to pay this money, I replied with a dispute letter explaining the situation and requesting debt verification. The collector didn't verify the debt and escalated the case to credit report agencies ruining my credit score. I believe they violated Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) ( section 1692g ) and XXXX XXXX XXXX Administrative Code ( section 20-493.2 ).

Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with FCO Fair collections and Outsourcing XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MD XXXX and agreed to settle a debt for {$170.00} in three payments, the first of which was {$50.00} and was paid immediately. THIS COMPANY ASSURED ME THAT BECAUSE I SETTLED THE DEBT THAT THIS WOULD NOT BE REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS. On XX/XX/XXXX, to my SHOCK this debt was reported to ALL THREE CREDIT BUREAUS. I called the company, and they DENIED that they had reported this debt, and told me to PROVE IT. I subsequently sent them an email with the PROOF which they have IGNORED TO DATE. This is illlegal and unethical, and I want this removed IMMEDIATELY from my credit report or I will seek legal recourse.

Complaint: I am filing a complaint against this collection agency because I disagree with the amount that the company is trying to collect : {$7500.00}. I have repeatedly asked for an itemized detail of the charges to show what constituted that amount. However, the collection agency only responds with a copy of the lease and a one-page statement that just says {$7500.00} on it. A copy of the lease and one page that says {$7500.00} does not constitute and itemized detail of charges. They have still not provided the information that was requested.

Account status incorrect
Complaint: I have a claim in progress but also wanted to report the company representing XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX is reporting false information to the credit bureaus. The XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX send us a final bill for our apartment so we paid the full amount on XX/XX/2015. We received confirmation from the manger on duty to let us know that our account was closed and no further payments or requirements were required from us. However, I recently checked my credit report and I noticed that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX is reporting on my account as a collection in the same amount of {$550.00} that we paid for. I contacted The XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX to investigate the reason why I was in collections for the same about that we provided payment for. The XXXX notified us that there is nothing that they could do - that we had to resubmit the payment. I'm attaching a copy of the check dated for XX/XX/2015, bank statements, and my credit report to suppress my case.

Complaint: Fair Collections and Outsourcing is reporting that I have an outstanding debt owed to an apartment community for {$7500.00}. I acknowledge that I do have a liability with the apartment community, but I strongly disagree that it is {$7500.00}. I have requested a detailed itemization of the charges from the collection agent on multiple times, but they will not provide this information. I feel as though they are withholding this information, because they can not justify the collection amount they are reporting.

Complaint: Company who sold the debt to FCO was unlawful and broke Washington state law. Pursuant to the RLTA RCW 59.18.280 we never received a formal move out statement stating the amount owed within 21 days. To date we have not received a formal move out notice after multiple requests, and this is 2.5 years later. There was no move out statement mailed which RCW 59.18.280 1b specifically states. According to the same RCW, tenant is entitled to a full refund of their deposit when this procedure has not been followed. We are requesting our full refund to be returned due to unlawful procedure on XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX part. We are specifically disputing unlawful practices, as this debt was never lawfully able to be sold. Our law firm has requested multiple times to show proof they followed the RCW code which both XXXX and FCO daily to deliver. Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Other debt

Debt was result of identity theft
Complaint: On XX/XX/18 a Validation of Debt request was sent to Fair Collections & Outsourcing on a debt they were attempting to collect for {$11000.00}. On XX/XX/18 an official dispute was mailed to Fair Collections regarding the same debt identified on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/18 a representative contacted our offices requesting an Identity Theft Affidavit which was immediately provided. On XX/XX/18, the Fair Collections representative advised the collection account was " on hold '' pending XXXX XXXX 's re-investigation ( and trust me, they have ALL of the needed documents too ). As of today, the account is now being reported to our client 's credit histories in clear violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. Fair Collections was previously in violation of the FDCPA when they reported a second fraudulent lease through another apartment community, in spite of receipt of all fraud documents, pending their re-investigation. This second account has now been cleared by the apartment community and reportedly removed from our client 's credit history.
