Debt is not yours
Complaint: Contacted FCO numerous of times to dispute and have them reverify ownership and balance owe after being denied rental property for debt being on credit. In attempts I was told that the third party could not be reach there fore the debt should be paid by myself. Was also talked to very rude and was denied further communication if I was not will to work out a resolution for debt owed. Representatives refused to acknowledge dates if information verify after initially picking up account. Sent letters and had caseworker reach out to get issue resolved. Went over documents that I had on file and did not match with FCO documents. Was told that the information they had was verified and correct. But they were all dated two years ago. Was told that it did not matter that I was in a third party housing program was they lost funding I was responsible for debt owed. Only because lease had my name on it. Tried to explain that the program was to establish secure housing with financial responsibility on the program. Was still told very rudely that debt it mine and that I would be hung up on if I did not wont to resolve. Was also told that certain identification info was not relevant to my situation..

Complaint: Unfortunately, I had an account that was sent to collections due to a rental payment issue I encountered after being victim of identity theft. The company that account was assigned to is Fair Collections & Outsourcing ( FCO ). I spoke with them a few times and explained the circumstances that led to the account escalating. After a few conversations and significant time passing I let them know that I wanted to pay this item off to have it removed from my credit report because the XXXX Police Dept advised that there investigation could take years given the number of cases they have dealing with Identity Theft.
Fair Collections & Outsourcing advised that the account in collections would be deleted from my credit report as an a collection when I made the payment so I proceeded forward with resolving the debt. Recently, I checked my report and I see that the item is still on my report and it has caused challenges for me to get an approval on a mortgage due to FCO 's miscommunication. I want this item deleted as promised when I first spoke to them.
The account escalated in XX/XX/XXXX and was sent to FCO. I paid off the account with FCO on XX/XX/XXXX when the account was still in collection. XX/XX/XXXX was the date that the rep indicated the account would be deleted as a collection item on my credit when I made the payment to them per the settlement agreement.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received monitor alert for things that I have no knowledge for or have applied for. All three credit reports reflected XXXX XXXX XXXX with a date of fraud starting XX/XX/XXXX with a total fraudulent amount of {$5200.00} which is now being collected by a company called Fair Collections and Outsourcing. On XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I contacted XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX with dispute letters stating I reside in the state of Texas at my current address since XX/XX/XXXX. I do not live in Illinois. I sent my identification with my signature and my proof of address. I contacted them about fraudulent accounts being on my credit report as well as XXXX XXXX XXXX and Fair Collections and Outsourcing that someone obtained an apartment in my name and I wanted this unauthorized account to be deleted. As of XX/XX/XXXX the {$5200.00} is still reporting on my credit report. This has not been removed. I have proven this is not me and I am not getting any assistance to remove these fraudulent items from my credit reports which is hurting my credit.

Debt was paid
Complaint: I have paid this debt in full with the original owner, XXXX XXXX and they agreed it would be taken off my report. However there is a company that is still reporting this debt on my report and they refuse to remove it, even though the original debt owner agreed to remove this.
Original owner that I didn't know I owed was XXXX XXXX, they have been paid in full once I knew I owed them any money.
The debt reporting company is named FAIR COLLECTIONS AND OUT XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, MD XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX I asked them multiple times to remove this, they say it shows paid but still feel the need to keep a collections record about it for 7 years. They were not owed the debt and have no knowledge of these matters.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: To Whom this may concern, Upon looking at my credit file in XXXX of XXXX to obtain a mortgage, I realized there was a collection being reported as an open collection item on my credit file in the amount of ( {$3900.00} ) by a company called FCO Fair Collection & Outsourcing. The company said the debt was opened on XX/XX/XXXX this debt is most certainly not mine as this case was dissmissed without prejudice in court ( see attached REQUEST FOR DISSMISSAL signed by the court as of XX/XX/XXXX ), only to have this debt forward to a collection company causing great hardship for me and my wife in trying to obtain a mortgage for our family after years of renting. I attempted to contact creditor to provide proof of debt only to be told debt is allowable by law and that don't have to prove the debt is owed. I went only tell them that the debt was dissmissed in court and forward proof of said dissmissal I was told that the legal court document was worthless and that they legally have a right to seek damages for wear and tear, paint and carpet outside of court. I tried to explain to them that I've in apartment for over 2 1/2 yrs and thought I left the apt spottless, it was signed off my the onsite manager upon acceptance of the key. Nevertheless, it would be expected to paint and replace carpet but not at my expense I would like the matter be resolved and removed from my credit file.
