Debt is not yours
Complaint: When moving out of my apartment, I received the attached move out form showing nothing was owed. The collection in discussion was filed mistakenly for breaking my lease early which I did not. Also attached is a handwritten letter from the property manager stating this was their mistake as well. I have been waiting for weeks now trying to get a more formal letter so that this can be corrected but they are no longer taking my calls.

Complaint: I email this company with a settlement offer, they accepted gave me a due date, but would not email me a copy of the offer. I told them that the other charges from the apartment was not valid and not my responsibility, I have pictures to prove the carpet was not damaged, the carpet had a odor and roaches noticed after I moved in, did not notice the first day because they had the air conditioning on, which was odd, since it was vacant. The same apartment which is now out of business has done this to many tenants based upon their previous reviews and complaints with the BBB. They also said that I did not leave a deposit, I left a deposit and a pet deposit. I was told that I signed a lease that said I did not pay a deposit, that had to be the renewal, because unless altered the first lease showed the deposits. The Company has done a lot of illegal things. Maybe the reason no longer in business. They are asking me for {$820.00} after giving proper notice and paying {$950.00}.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: In the most recent complaint and response, the company gave an explanation of debt and attached several documents to include a lease and a disposition of security deposit statement. My complaint revolved around an unsubstantiated charge for parts, which was listed under the name XXXX. The company 's response was that " XXXX '' was for utility charges ; out of all the documents that was submitted in their complaint response, their was no billing statement with regards to the claimed utility charge. Every month each tenant was given a billing statement of charges before any amount was asked to be paid. My request is that this company produce that statement to justify the claimed utility charge.

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: I have disputed this debt with all the credit bureaus as well as a direct dispute to the collection agency via certified mail. They have never responded to my dispute and they have allegedly verified this debt as reporting 100 % accurate to the credit bureaus. I have disputed the balance multiple times with the bureaus and they verified it. I do not agree. I have asked them for the original contract to see if they are legally allowed to add the absorbent collection fees they have added. And they never responded to my dispute with in 30 days as required by law. In the past they have called and harassed my grandparents to try to get a hold of me. I am fed up with this company. This is my last step before i turn this over to my consumer protection attorney to file suit against them.

Old information reappears or never goes away
Complaint: Last year in the month of XXXX i moved to Nevada into an apartment. During the move i submitted and address change through the post office. I had a leftover bill for XXXX aparments in the amount of XXXX. I sent them a check for that amount in hooes to handle that bill, but recieved the check and a letter from a collection agency about a month or so later stating i was in collections. It is not my fault he apartment failed to accept the check and then placed me in collections. It all happened during my move meaning somewhere along the lines there was an issue and the place should have accepted my check instead of sending me to collections with FCO. FCO will not remove or delete this.
In XXXX of XXXX i switched from XXXX XXXX XXXX to XXXX with the promise that they would pay my disconnection fees. Found out this year in XXXX while trying to purchase, that XXXX failed to pay the bill and failed to notify me about this issue. They are accepting their failure and are paying me the amount owed for the bill but XXXX XXXX XXXX put it in collection with XXXX. If i would have been notified of their failure to pay i could have handled this before it went to collections. Due to XXXX negligence it has affected my credit and XXXX does not want to remove it from my credit. I have called both mutliple time XXXX and XXXX of XXXX and no one is willing to remove the mark on my credit. I took action and paid both but now im stuck with a negative mark till XXXX.

Account status incorrect
Complaint: This account was paid and the collection company agreed to delete but years later the company has left this record open on my credit report to harm me. Please help me get this removed from my credit report because its harming my score and causing me to get higher rates on credit cards, increasing the likelihood of declined credit applications, and harming my ability to show credit worthiness to anyone who reviews my credit report and sees this collection record. This collection record was created due to a dispute with the apartment complex manager which was eventually settled, and even later on years after the collections was issued my family moved back to the complex, yet this collection blemish remains on my report.

Complaint: My complaint is about XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( a collection agency ). For about 3 years I 've disputed 2 items they are entering into MOST ALL consumer reporting agencies in the U.S. ; namely the 3 major credit reporting agencies and tenant screening consumer reporting agencies. The 2 items I 've disputed myself and through an attorney are as follows : 1. XXXX
2. XXXX XXXX XXXX.
The above items are NOT MINE! Even though they are NOT MINE, I 've proffered an " Offer in Compromise '' in order to remove these items from ; a ). the 3 national consumer credit reporting agencies - XXXX XXXX and XXXX, and b ). from all tenant screening consumer reporting agencies. At this juncture, I 've rescinded any offer in compromise as FCO refuses to remove them. I believe this violates my protections under the FCRA, FDCA, and because it is more than 3 years old and outside the statute of limitations for DC denies me fair access to housing in the District of Columbia. I want the 2 above items REMOVED IMMEDIATELY w/WRITTEN CONFIRMATION from ALL consumer reporting agencies in the U.S.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: Fair Collection and Outsourcing, Inc did not investigate and verify with the original creditor the amount that was owed. They send me a bill instead and forced me to pay it. This alleged debt was from an apartment complex. Up to this day, this company refuses to verify the correct amount owed to the original creditor. I since then made contact with the original creditor and they can locate any balance owed.
This company needs to be investigated about its practices. They are violating FCRA.

We moved out on XXXX XXXX XXXX from the village and we " accumulated '' {$930.00} worth in move out fees ( Attached to this email is the balance sheet ). I have tried in multiple occasions to contact them and XXXX XXXX and I have had the run around for a while. I used services such as the XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Complaint ID : XXXX # XXXX ) and other bureaus to seek mediation and they have still been negligent to handle our problems. The Village has in multiple times tried to collect the debt from my roommates XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX with out notifying me even sending letter with only their names and not mine. I have reached out to them thru different dep and was able to get help in the matters. On XXXX XXXX was the last time I emailed the Assistant Manager at XXXX XXXX and requesting her to please escalate my concerns to her Manager since I have been requesting information and she has not been addressing my requests. The dispute is pictures they are providing showing that our carpet was above normal wear and tear and are charging us for the full replacement of the apt carpet and the decon of the cement because they are stating that the stains were so bad that the cement was damaged. After requesting images of the cement, the dimensions of the stains ( since we could not make out the size of the " stains '' thru the pictures ), the carpet ID # on any paper work that we signed ( since they provided a picture with the ID # on it but our paper work does not reflect that ID or anything of that matter ) I never received an email from XXXX XXXX or XXXX company since I did CC them on the email and no one responded back. On XXXX XXXX XXXX my roommate XXXX XXXX received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that XXXX XXXXXXXX sent the expenditures to them for collections. I do not understand why XXXX company keeps doing such things if they have been negligent to respond to me and I never received a letter XXXX XXXX and XXXX still live with me in a different address ) nor did XXXX. I contacted XXXX and discussed the matters and they stated that they did not have our addresses yet they had Isabels and we all have our letters from the Post office when we requested the address change and we provided that address to XXXX XXXX.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: In XXXX XXXX, I received a copy of my credit report, in detailed it showed a collection from a third party company called Fair Collections and Out. This debt collector reported that I owe {$3300.00}. Consequently, this is a false attempt to collect a debt that was stolen from the original company- XXXX XXXX who did not solicit or file with Fair Collections and Out. When I spoke with XXXX the leasing agent from XXXX XXXX he stated, " He was not aware that XXXX XXXX had filed any actions against the account. '' In XXXX XXXX, myself and my roommate moved out of the apartment due to a fraudulent check that was written on the account. XXXX stated, " if we left before XXXX and did not leave the place in disarray he would not file an eviction against us. Now a year later there is an attempt to collect a debt from an account that is reported as a XXXX balance. According to the last printout, myself and said roommate does not have any monetary obligations to this property.
I have sent emails, letters to each credit bureau, and a formal letter to Fair Collections and Out asking that this debt be removed. I have not received any responses from the either company. I have not received any documents stating that this account is validated by XXXX XXXX.
Please look at the bottom of XXXX and you will see that the balance is XXXX.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: In XXXX, the company that purchased the property where I was residing, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Ca XXXX, was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Homes XXXX. They sent their representative XXXX XXXX to my home to notify myself, and the other tenant, that our residence had been purchased at auction and that they wanted to inspect it.
After the inspection was complete, XXXX XXXX advised me that the property could no longer be rented in it 's current condition. XXXX upgrades and safety repairs were needed to be completed prior to renting the property again.
It was at that time I was offered the attached " XXXX for Surrender of XXXX in XXXX of XXXX ''. This agreement states that due to the short notice, NO RENT will be charged for the months of XXXX XXXX through XXXX XXXX, XXXX. In addition, I was offered {$1000.00} to vacate the property by XXXX XXXX, XXXX.
I agreed and signed the attached agreement provided by XXXX XXXX, on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I also provided XXXX with a copy of my California XXXX XXXX with a date stamp ( attached herein XXXX to provide to his employers. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, the day that I surrendered the keys and vacated the premises, I was given a check for {$1000.00}.
I received the attached letter dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX, from Fair Collections and Outsourcing of XXXX XXXX on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX to collect money allegedly owed. I contacted them right away and sent them a fax copy of the agreement. A representative told me not to worry about it, she would resolve it with the creditor. I heard nothing about it until recently, XXXX XXXX, whereas I attempted to apply for a home loan and it appeared on my credit report provided by my loan agent ( see attached ).
I have sent another copy of the attached agreement on XXXX XXXX, XXXX to the XXXX Department XXXX XXXX XXXX and Outsourcing of XXXX XXXX and they stated that they forwarded my documentation provided to the creditor on the same day. I was also informed that the creditor would have XXXX calendar days to respond and if they did not receive a response then they would remove this from my credit report. In addition, I have asked for the documentation showing that I owe this debt and the representative simply stated that it is for the month XXXX XXXX rent but could not provide me any rental or lease agreement. I reminded her that I provided a letter of agreement to the contrary but she states that she will still have to discuss it with the creditor. To date, I still have not been provided any documentation showing I owe this debt.
When I called today for status on this situation I was given the run-a-round and inconsistent information. The representative on the phone was unprofessional, rude, and was yelling at me. She states that she does not think that the 30 day rule applies to me as they have had this account for a very long time.
Due to it 's nature, this XXXX negative reporting is disqualifying me from getting the assistance I need to purchase a home.
I have received no assistance or good faith efforts from XXXX XXXX and XXXX to correct this issue and it feels as if they are strong arming me into paying a debt that I do n't owe in order to qualify to purchase a home.
