Complaint: I spoke with a representative that stated that I could pay the debt less than the full amount. He stated that the debt would not be deleted and it would show paid. He instructed me to file a dispute with the credit reporting agencies and state that it was paid then the collection would be removed. I set the arrangement and made the payment. I waited until the debt showed paid on my credit report then I did as he stated. I filed disputes with the the CRA 's. Well I received responses back from the credit bureaus stating that what was reported was accurate and it could not be removed. I am highly upset that a rep from that company would tell me to follow those steps to not see a removal. I feel that they rep falsified information just so I could make the payment. I think he knew that the CRA 's would not remove it from my report. Can you please help me?

Complaint: DIVERSIFIED CONSULTANTS IN is trying to collect a bill from XXXX for an account I have already disputed. I cancel service with XXXX within 14 days of starting the account, and was supposed to not owe them anything. They started by billing me $ 500+ and eventually tried to bill me {$98.00}, but should have billed me XXXX .... I disputed this before with another credit collection company and they did not provide proof it was owed within the 30 day limit and had it removed, only for it to appear again under this collection agency.

I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and informed them I wanted to pay the debt off because I wanted to apply for a home loan, needed to improve my credit and possibly start service with them again. Before making the payment, I asked the representative will the Diversified Consultants report be removed from my credit report since I am paying them and they are the original debtor? I also, asked for a letter in writing, however, she informed me she would email me my receipt and that was my proof of paying and that XXXX XXXX would receive proof of payment remove themselves from my credit report completely. I proceeded to pay {$1300.00}, and I received my receipt as promised via email. I called Diversified Consultants and informed them, I'd paid XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in full, and asked for deletion of their account on all 3 credit bureau because the balance has bee paid to XXXX XXXX XXXX. Diversified Consultants informed me they do not delete reporting and the account will stay on my report for 7 more years and they will report the debt as {$0.00} paid, closed. My credit score has since dropped down to XXXX, 41 points. I AM NO LONGER ABLE TO APPLY FOR A HOME LOAN! I should have left the debt alone if this was going to happen. This is not just, I paid the debt through XXXX XXXX XXXX, and was LIED to. I want Diversified Consultants removed/deleted from all 3 credit reporting agencies completely.
