Complaint: I forgot to return a XXXX internet equipment when I was renting an apartment three years ago and thus owed XXXX a couple hundreds. Instead of trying to contact me, XXXX just went ahead asked a company called Diversified Consultants Inc to collect the money. This collections agency called me last year but the agent is extremely unprofessional and acted exactly like frausters trying to blackmail me money. They did not explain why I owed money ( I had no clue that time ), and did not even trying to communicate with me, stopped me when I tried to ask questions and never listened. They just tried to intimidate and scare me to pay them the money thru phone. When I searched this company online, everyone said this company is a scam ( if you XXXX it you will know ). So I took them as a scam because they acted so and everyone said so!
Months later, I saw this collection account on my bureau report then I realized this company is actually a collection agency. I paid the money off immediately with XXXX and tried to contact the agency see if they can help me remove the collection accounts because they did not communicate well. But again, they acted like a scam and extremely rude. They said they can't even tell me whether they are collecting money for XXXX until they confirmed my account. It is so ridiculous.
I think I should be properly contacted by a legitimate company that can tell me why I owe the money when I actually owed the money. But it is not the case. Right now I wish this company to disappear to make the world a better place, and at the same time I hope they could work with the bureau to remove the collection accounts from my bureau report so I can have a credit score that actually reflect my credit worthiness.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: Diversified Consultants has violated the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act, section 809 ( a ) ( b ). This account was opened or established without my knowledge or consent. Diversified Consultants provided no initial communication within the five days of any collection attempts regarding this debt. In addition, Diversified Consultants has failed to provide any original copies of verification obligating myself to this debt. Since Diversified Consultants has not been able to provide strict proof of verification, collection efforts must cease and this account should be immediately removed from all three major consumer reporting agencies.

Complaint: Diversified Consultants placed a collection on my account in the amount of XXXX. I disputed this same account with a collection agency by the name of XXXX and XXXX XXXX back in XX/XX/2017. The account was fraudulently opened.
I called XXXX and informed them that I previously disputed this and now another colleyagency is trying to collect on a bill that I do not owe. I was instructed to contact the collection agency bc they reported they did not assign it to anyone. I sent Diversified a letter and they responded that they matched the account by my name and address. My name is spelled wrong and the address is a PO box number.
This company is using illegal tactics to attempt to collect on accounts they clearly do not own and can not verify according to the FDCRA.

Frequent or repeated calls
Complaint: I had been a customer of XXXX for nearly twenty years. I decided to change providers recently ( within the past 6 months ), and was given an amount that would be due to XXXX prior to my changing providers. About 3 months later, XXXX sent me a bill in the amount {$670.00} ( which is double the amount that was given to me originally ). After speaking to a representative at XXXX, I asked why was the bill so expensive and was told about items I never requested. They charged me for a " booster ''. At the time I had no idea what that was and the representative explained that it was to boost the signal on my phone. I have never needed a booster, and never knew that was something that could be order. I requested that an investigation be done because I knew I had never order this service and felt that the company was trying to add unnecessary fees to my account in order to get more money from me. I was told the investigation would take 7-10 business days and that they would contact me in that time. Three weeks went by and I had not been contacted by XXXX. I then called again to inquire about my bill. No actions had been filed. Meaning the new representative that I spoke with did not see that I requested an investigation. I requested another investigation and was assured that it would be taken care of and that I should hear from them in 7-10 business days. When I did hear from XXXX, it was stating that my bill had been sent to a collections agency and that my account was no longer being handled directly with XXXX, but with a company called " Diversified Consultants , Inc . I spoke with a representative at Diversified Consultants, Inc. and they were unable to look to see if my account was under investigation, but offered me a settlement in the amount of {$390.00}. On the day that we spoke ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I explained I was unable to pay that amount on that day and a payment plan was established. I asked if I could push the date out to XX/XX/XXXX to start my payment plan, and the lady I was speaking to said that would be fine and it would keep them from reporting it to the credit bureau. However, On XX/XX/XXXX, they reported it on my credit report anyway. I spoke with a representative from Diversified Consultants, Inc. on XX/XX/XXXXand they stated that they did not have records of me setting up a payment plan but they did see that a settlement amount was made and a payment plan schedule was created. I asked the representative " Why would I create a payment plan if I did not intend to pay it? '' I also asked if he could look at the record and see if he could direct me to the person that I originally spoke with about setting up the payment plan. He then got an attitude with me and stated in an unprofessional tone " We do this for a living so you did not set up a plan '' and placed me on hold for about six minutes. He came back to the phone and said that the person I spoke with originally was busy and that I could speak with the supervisor and placed me on hold again ( without giving me a chance to respond to him ). After being on hold for ten minutes and 12 seconds I hung up the phone and decided to make this formal complaint to CFPB only to learn that Diversified Consultants reported to the credit bureau again. Meaning they reported my account unpaid on XX/XX/XXXX andXX/XX/XXXXto make sure that it effects my credit score.

Account status incorrect
Complaint: In reviewing my monthly credit report, I note an amount of {$95.00} shown as seriously delinquent and reported to both the credit reporting bureaus and referred for collection by XXXX to Diversified Consultants a debt collection company. This has resulted in a significant negative impact on my credit score.
I have two legitimate accounts with XXXX. The first is for my principal residence which shows that the account is fully current with the next payment due on XX/XX/XXXX. That account is on auto pay with my credit card.
I have a second account for my weekend residence which is paid for by the Homeowners Association through a Master Contract between XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and XXXX. That is included in my monthly maintenance which is also current and has a credit balance.
The account which has been reported as delinquent and referred to collection is NOT properly my account and I do not owe any amount on that account. The error is entirely with XXXX for creating an account in my name which is NOT authorized.
I contacted XXXX to resolve the situation. However, the XXXX Representative required an account number to proceed with assisting me. I do NOT HAVE an account number. I do not have any bill or other indicia of an account or balance due. I am unable to provide an account number for a phantom and non-existent account that I did not create, incur or authorize.
Accordingly, I have no alternative to resolve this matter except by filing a complaint under the FCRA and FDCPA.
I am filing this complaint against both Diversified Consultants for fraudulently attempting to collect a debt not due and XXXX for providing false credit information and referring a non-existent debt for collection.
Both entities have created significant harm to my credit status.
I require immediate correction of the matter with appropriate notification to all Credit Reporting Bureaus that the statement of delinquency is totally erroneous and due to an error by XXXX. In the event that I am unable to resolve this matter through the CFPB complaint process I will proceed with further remedial action against both entities for damages as provided under both the FCRA and FDCPA.

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: XXXX - This is where I beg the difference, you certainly are in the wrong : Under the rules of the FDCPA, a debt collector such as yourself ( Diversified Consultants, Inc ) identified as a DEBT COLLECTOR are required by Federal Law if you are attempting to collect a debt to provide details about a debt by sending a written notice with the following information.
Name of the creditor Amount allegedly owed Instruction on how to repay the alleged debt *Just for your future collection practices, since you think you did nothing wrong. This is called the validation notice and must be sent to the consumer within five days of initial contact.
So let me suggest you remove this immediately from my credit report since you practices seem to be unknowingly UNETHICAL!!!
Regards, XXXX XXXX
