Trouble during payment process

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I did chapter XXXX bankruptcy, I decided to keep my mobile home through ditech financial. I paid ditech through the trustee, that same year we had a horrible hail storm and it did XXXX in damage to my home, the home needs new Windows, siding and a new roof, I contacted ditech for 5 or 6 months to no avail, so I took them off the bankruptcy and stopped paying them. Next I offered them a settlement on my house I've been paying on since XX/XX/XXXX, originally the mortgage was XXXX and after paying from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX I now owe XXXX. I offered XXXX for a settlement and they said yes but needs all XXXX at once. I can't come up with that, so currently they left a house is vacant and abandoned sticker on my door. I've had nothing but problems from this company, XXXX was my first holder and they charged XXXX convenience fee when paying over the phone, ditech does the same thing. Please help and thanks

Trouble during payment process

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: I have been trying to bring my mortgage out of forclosure and my account current since XXXX of this year. Each time I am told that a reinstatement letter with the total amount due must be generated. I specifically asked that the letter be e-mailed to me upon completion to expidite the payment process. Instead, the letter, which has a ten-day expiration ( why not 30 days? ), is not e-mailed, but held, and then sent through regular mail. Each time the reinstatement letter has arrived in my mailbox already expired. I feel that this is being done to prevent customers from making payments, which in turn generates fees for attorneys and causes customers to lose their homes to forclosure. This has happened with reinstatement letters sent with the following dates : XX/XX/19, expiration date XX/XX/19, XX/XX/19, expiration date XX/XX/19, XX/XX/19, expiration date XX/XX/19 XX/XX/19, expiration date XX/XX/19. I don't this is a coincidence.

Complaint: Ditech is using tactics to make me jump through hoops to avoid having to refund excess escrow owed to me. I called and requested escrow cancellation in XX/XX/2019. As a result of the cancellation, the excess escrow was to be refunded to me. As of the date of this filing, the escrow funds have not been refunding to me in my name only or been redeposited back into the escrow account.

Struggling to pay mortgage

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX We applied for and were approved on XX/XX/XXXX for a re cast of our current XXXX XXXX Mortgage based on a principle reduction that was paid by us. We overnighted the notarized agreement for modification, re-amortization that Ditech sent to us on XX/XX/XXXX via the XXXX XXXX envelope they provided us. It was received and signed for by XXXX XXXX at XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX at Ditech XXXX XXXX tracking XXXX. I called to confirm on XX/XX/XXXX that they had received the documentation and also to confirm that they received our XX/XX/XXXX payment as they cashed it but not applied it to the account promptly. They told me that the recast was already finalized and that the payment made was at the old amount of {$2700.00} and the new Mortgage amount was {$1800.00} which they would apply the {$1800.00} to the XX/XX/XXXX payment and the remaining {$910.00} to principle. They did this and the account currently shows correct on their website with the new payment being due XX/XX/XXXX at the new amount of {$1800.00}. I assumed everything was fine because that is what I was told and the website reflected it correctly. I then received a letter from Ditech dated XX/XX/XXXX stating the recast was not finalized and it included the documents that I previously notarized and sent to them for signatures again. I called Ditech on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to XXXX who told me yes the recast was finalized on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked for the Agreement signed by Ditech and she said she had to transfer me. I then spoke to XXXX who was very rude to me and transferred me to XXXX. XXXX told me at first that they never received the notarized documents from us as they do not show in there system. I told her we had the tracking number to prove it and she placed me on hold and came back and told me that the recast was finalized that day they received them on XX/XX/XXXX. She could not provide me with accurate information and I asked how my account shows the new payment in their system and they are taking payments in at the new amount but they can not provide me with the signed agreement. This could cause problems with future payments and I could be late as I do not have 100 % proof they signed this agreement and they are telling me they my not even have the documents that they received. I would like Ditech to provide me a copy signed by them of the agreement for modification, re amortization, or extention of a mortgage as I have a right to the document for my records. I hsve the right to accurate information as a consumer.

Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: Hi, I have contacted Ditech twice about my adjustable rate mortgage. During XXXX, my interest rate increased due to rising interest rates. However, this year, interest rates tumbled, but my adjustable rate has not declined. I have phoned Ditech twice. The last time was yesterday. I spoke to an agent, who then transferred me to refinance. That is not what I wanted. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but they transferred me to the new company that bought Ditech 's business. They do not have a record of my account because it has not transferred yet. On the current Ditech website, it appears that my rate will stay the same, 5.25 % and be reset on XX/XX/XXXX for five more months. I feel helpless because Ditech is paralyzed and the new company will not lower my adjustable rate mortgage. In fact, it should have been lower this year, which means Ditech owes me interest money. I doubt I will see anything, since they have declared bankruptcy, but wanted documentation to show that I have tried to deal with this situation.

Trouble during payment process

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: I began having trouble with Ditech around XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I had previously worked out a modification as I had a financial hardship and other than it taking an extremely long time to come to terms of a modification, it was worked out and I fulfilled my requirements. Then I started getting letters from Ditech requesting proof of insurance. I uploaded my insurance documents to their website and they continued to ask for proof. I uploaded the insurance a few more times, mailed a copy to the servicing center and faxed a copy to ditech and literally received no response from Ditech. I called and talked to customer service to be told that they did not receive my insurance information and I needed to do it again. How much more can I actually do at this point for them to get it? I did those things again and again I recieved requests for my insurance but now along with the request, I also go forced placed insurance and new payment information raising my payment up a very significant amount. I contacted them again and continued to call and upload, fax & mail my insurance information and they continued to tell me they never received it. I then decided to contact the forced place insurance company. They provided me with an email address for them to send my insurance info and they would cancel. I forwarded my insurance and like she promised, she cancelled the insurance. This however did not fix my now affordable payment. Still no response from Ditech other than the standard letter " We have received your request and will contact you within 30 days ''. They did do a reanalysis of my escrow and my payment went back down but I did not receive any sort of explanation on a refund from forced placed. As of XX/XX/XXXX My payments were back down to an affordable payment but not before they reported late payments. So now as of XXXX my payments are back down, however, I am unable to make payments online, my payment information is incorrect online and when you call in your payment, they want a convenience fee for calling. When I asked them why my statements and payments were all messed up online they said they were having issues. This issue never did get fixed for me and I could never get an explanation of why. I sold my house in XXXX and requested a payoff from them. They sent it to me and it included {$400.00} even of fees that were never on any statements or disclosed to me or anything. When I attempted to contact them to find out why it was there, I got a letter stating they received my request and would be in contact within 30 days. Well, it is has been over 30 days and I have still had no contact. I am very thankful that they are now paid off and I will not have to deal with them any longer, but I think I deserve the proper attention for this issue. I do have records of uploaded documents, my insurance information and other supporting documents as I am sure they have no records of anything.

Closing on a mortgage

Complaint: After six weeks the company Ditech has refused to send the title on my property. I'm unable to close on the sale of the home and am being given the runaround. This incident involving Ditech is not isolated. Ditech had refused to release the title on a previous property that I owned for several months. All debts have been paid to Ditech in full. I was further told that it could take at least six additional weeks when or if Ditech does send a title.

Trouble during payment process

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: We have paid our mortgage payments on XX/XX/2019and on XX/XX/2019 and have not had them applied. Our accounts shows that we currently have a balance to pay for those two months, but we have proof that we have paid them. I also wanted to make sure we were not being charged interest for the amount that has been paid. I contacted the lender several times and they say its a computer issue affecting many others and should be fixed shortly. But it has been over two months already and it has not been fixed.

Trouble during payment process

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice of default on my mortgage from Ditech Financial. I called and was told that my escrow account was short of funds in XX/XX/XXXXand so my payment was increased as of XX/XX/XXXX by {$300.00} per month to catch up the escrow account. I told them that I did not receive this notice nor have I been receiving monthly statements. They checked their information and found that they had been sending the notices to the wrong address. I immediately started paying the new higher amount. The next month I received my first statement showing that they had misappropriated some funds and I was now exactly one month behind in my mortgage. When I called they said that because I paid on the XXXX for the next month, the funds went into suspense and were not applied to my payment. The next month - XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice of default. I called again to be told the same thing and that their automated system was messing up where the payments were being applied. Again, their fault and they would rectify it on their end. Somehow with this call they also changed me over to electronic statements and I did not receive a statement for XXXX. In XXXX, I got the default notice again. My husband spent 4 hours on the phone with them and got them to accelerate our issue to the next level of management. The date of that call was XX/XX/XXXX. Someone named XXXX at ext. XXXX. She waded through the whole mess and again told me that since I send my payments early, the system is not applying my money to the correct area. She took all of my information and said that if I paid {$98.00}, we could be back to up to date. They would take some of the funds in suspense and apply it to the payment, and would " borrow '' some of the escrow funds to pay back the approx. {$1200.00} of escrow fees late from XXXX - XXXX. She was going to call me back the next Monday, one week later, to verify that she had it all worked out. I did not submit the {$98.00} since the automated payment would likely get applied incorrectly. I was going to do that when she called me back. She never has. I have left 5 messages personally on her voicemail, my husband has left 3. My Mortgage statement shows us now a little more than one month behind and I have paid EVERY payment early. Is there any help I can get for this at all?? Thank you
