Complaint: I was approved for a credit limit of {$1400.00}. As of XXXX XXXX th 2015 I received a message stating that my credit limit had decreased to {$640.00}. I had a debt ratio over 50 % and have made payments on time for the short period I have had the credit card. Now this will reflect on my credit score as debt to ratio of 99 % of my credit limit used. I have a statement showing now - {$51.00} due to this decreases not to mention the impact it will have once it reports to the credit bereaus. I find this type of act to be very harsh considering I just received a credit limit increase on my XXXX bank card. This practice should be illegal.

Complaint: I have been a DISCOVER IT card holder for over a year now -when I applied after repeatedly getting solicitation from them to do so because I had a good credit score - I was issued a card with a limit of XXXX.at the time my score was XXXX. recently I received notification that they did a review of my credit report thru XXXX and made a decision to lower my credit limit to XXXX? right now my balance is approx. XXXX so I would be at my limit and that will effect my credit history, because it will show that I am almost at my limit. how can they just take back a credit limit? I tried to call to discuss and they gave me a number to call that no one answers and also they thanked me for being a valued customer for 8 years? this puzzled me because I have only been a customer for little over a year -my trust has been violated - and they are going to ruin my credit rating - because if it shows that I am utilizing my limit to the max that will lower my score someone needs to investigate this practice - I did not ask for a increase so if they did a review then they should have just left the limit as it was -they offered me the credit card - and they gave me a limit of XXXX and until I ask for a increase there was no reason to change anything between us - I am credit worthy conscious and have a good credit rating - I fear their act will lower my credit rating - I ran my report it says that I am utilizing over XXXX % of my credit cards and that has an effect on my score - with this act on DISCOVERS part to decrease my credit limit that utilization is going to go up more -therefore effecting my credit rating - I can provide a copy of my credit file showing that I in 12years have never ever been delinquent on any of my credit cards or loans - and I feel they did not have any call to review anything about me - they had already issued the card and gave me a limit - and until I ask them for an increase there was no need to pull a credit file and change our agreement and to me the agreement was DISCOVER GAVE ME A CARD WITH A LIMIT OF XXXX and that is what I expected and agreed to - I attached a few of the documents that I have been researching I think it is interesting that these be read by them instead of DISCOVER IT - THIS IS DISCOVER FULL OF IT

Complaint: I received a letter in the mail from Discover Personal Loans offering me a personal loan. I looked over the offers and chose a {$25000.00} loan at 6.99 % for 84 months with a monthly payment of {$390.00}. AFTER Discover wasted my time with a bunch of questions and checking my ( excellent ) credit, they came back and, casually, offered me this loan for 18.99 % with a monthly payment of $ XXXX.This is after I told them I wanted to pay down a credit card that had an interest rate of 14 %. Why would Discover think that I would be stupid enough to accept a loan for 5 % more than I am currently paying? I declined to accept that offer. This sure has the smell of a classic bait & switch!

Complaint: Discover Card, after their initial provisional chargeback credit, reversed their decision in merchant 's favor. Then, upon presenting incontrovertible evidence, they re-decided in my favor. Based upon fraudulent representations and so-called policies which were never presented to cardholder and which were certainly never agreed to or even seen, Discover incorrectly re-decided against cardholder. Merchant was untimely. Merchant presented irrelevant, unilateral, and fraudulent documentation. Cardholder then presented even more overwhelming evidence against merchant, but Discover decided to be a mere merchant lapdog. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) charged cardholder for services not only which were not satisfactory, but cardholder maintains were fraudulently never even rendered. Discover has not followed their own Dispute Rules Manual and other dispute procedures which is posted online. Discover is not in compliance with Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act and/or Regulation E of the Electronic Fund Transfers Act, as applicable.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX of the company, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX called me in an attempt to collect on a very old debt. He told me I opened a Discover card acct. XX/XX/XXXX and I owed over {$20000.00}, but that they were willing to accept a settlement of {$1500.00} and then attempted to get a card number from me. He could not verify where I was at XX/XX/XXXX, which made me suspicious. I also asked him if he could send a letter of assurance to my email detailing that the {$1500.00} would indeed completely settle this debt and he declined, saying he would send a receipt after receiving the funds. I then asked for an XXXX to see what I could learn and possibly verify any of these details and he agreed, giving me his name and number. I looked at the XXXX where I saw a complaint where someone had given a card number to settle a debt and this XXXX was continuing to hit his card. I read more at various sites and was assured that this XXXX XXXX was indeed scammers. Way less than an hour had passed when I called them back and informed him I would not give him anything and to remove my number from his calling list. He then proceeded to threaten me with some kind of court action so I hung up. They do have my phone number, social security number and current address and it does make me nervous. I had already decided that I would not give these people any card or bank information, so in that, I feel relatively safe. It is my hope that they will not continue to pursue me in attempts to collect on what I had learned is a time-barred debt. I actually had my purse stolen back in the XX/XX/XXXX 's and was XXXX over the next years and was unaware of what was happening until now.

Complaint: My Discover account was included in my bankruptcy filing back in 2010. Unfortunately, Discover has failed to honor the terms of that agreement ; they have consistently reported a past due amount to the credit bureaus even after I 've contested this matter via the credit bureaus and communication to their reps.

Complaint: I have a Discover card that I no longer use or have a balance on, and today I got the following email from them : '' XXXX XXXX, your Discover card 's built - in benefits are streamlining on XXXX 2015At Discover, we want you to be happy. That 's why periodically review the valuable benefits that are built in to your Discover card. We have decided to retain some benefits - like purchase protection and price protection - and discontinue others.
What this means for you : Effective XXXX XXXX, 2015 Discover card will discontinue the following benefits : XXXX Travel Assistance, Baggage Delay Insurance, and Emergency Roadside Assistance. If you have a loss or incident that occurs on or after XXXX XXXX, 2015, it will not be covered by these benefits.
Want to learn more?
See all your card 's built-in benefits at Discover.com/cardbenefits. " This seems entirely misleading. They want me to be happy, so they are removing some benefits. They put that jumble of sentences before the actual change just to make it seem like they were n't taking something away.
