Complaint: Discover credit card. Send me for invitation card to apply for it. And after I let them run my credit thy just denied me to have a credit from them. I 'm side is just kind of nonsense to invited me to use or run my credit scores for nothing. It just waist of my credit scores.
Ps.. Just want to complain them because of useful using the points of the person score for nothing. I 'm hoping that there do n't do this anymore for the other customer. Thank and looking forward to settling this matter.

Complaint: Discover Bank mailed flyers to Discover Credit Card holders advertising a {$300.00} checking bonus upon opening a new account and meeting direct deposit requirements.
I complied with all the requirements, sent an online message to which a representative responded that I met the requirements and would receive the bonus offer by XXXX/XXXX/16.
Upon following up, I was told that I was not 'targeted '. Even though I received the mailer and opened the account ; which the confirmation page shows the bonus.

Complaint: I was attempting to settle a debt with XXXX XXXX. I talked with XXXX on XXXX separate occasions for pay off. The first time it was {$2700.00} about six weeks ago. Then I contacted XXXX again 3 weeks ago and he said it was {$2800.00} ( interest added ). I was waiting to get closer to when I could pay this debt, so I called XXXX XXXX. XXXX explained to me the debt was now {$11000.00}. Apparently what happened was the bank i was working with called XXXX XXXX to get a payoff. XXXX XXXX then realized more money could be available, so they changed my payoff to {$11000.00}.
My problem is the loan will not be approved know because I do not have enough equity to pay the additional {$9000.00} needed for the loan to go thru.
They also asked to see my Loan Estimate and Closing disclosure ... .and they would consider reducing the amount.

Complaint: Back in early XXXX of 2015, I saw a promotion for Discover bank where if you have a Discover credit card and never had a Discover checking account, you can use promotion code " XXXX '' to open a new checking account, and after XXXX direct deposits, the bank will issue a {$300.00} bonus into the account.
I had a Discover credit card and never had a Discover bank account, so I signed into my Discover credit card account online and tried signing up for a new checking account using the said promotion code. Discover bank 's system accepted the promotion code as valild, that 's when I decided that it 's a really good deal and went on to complete the enrollment process.
After making XXXX direct desposits as required, I called Discover bank to see when I 'll be getting the bonus cash from the promotion. That 's when they told me that I actually do n't qualify for the promotion, because after XXXX/XXXX/2015 they changed some fine print to make the promotion a " targeted '' XXXX, and since I 'm not on the target list, I do n't qualify, even though the promotion code was accepted during enrollment " because it 's a valid promotion code '' they say.
From a consumer 's perspective, the fact that their system accepted my promotion code as valid during the enrollment process should mean that I qualify for the promotion. If I did n't qualify for the promotion, their system should have indicated as such, so I would n't be led to believe that I qualify and go on to enroll for their product believing I 'm getting a good deal. I have also never received any communication from Discover Bank after the fact to let me know that I did n't qualify for the promotion. Any other reputable online store I go to, if they accept a promotion code during checkout, that means I qualify for the promotion. I have never seen any other company accept a promotion code as valid " because it 's valid for other people and not you '' and never send out any communication to let a consumer know what 's going on.
I feel that Discover Bank 's actions are misleading and deceptive. Their system led me to believe that I 'm getting a good offer and tricked me into enrolling in their product. They led me on further by never communicating the fact that the promotion code they accepted as valid is actually not valid, so that I would start direct depositing my pay checks into the new checking account with them. All the time wasted and emotional distress aside, I 'm seeking for Discover bank to honor the promotion and credit me {$300.00}.

Complaint: I HAD DISCOVER CREDIT CARD I MISSED FEW PAYMENTS AND THEY CLOSED THE ACOOUNT BUT AFTER THAT I HAVE BEEN PAYING THEM EVERY MONTH FOR OVER A YEAR. MY FINANCIAL POSITION GOT LITTLE BAD AT START OF THIS YEAR SO I COULD NOT PAY THEM IN XXXX 2016 .SINCE THEN THEY BEEN CALLING ME A LOT. SOMEDAYS THEY WILL CALL LIKE 4-5 TIMES A DAY .I HAVE BEEN DEPRESSED SO SOMETIMES I DONT FEEL LIKE ANSWERING PHONE BUT STILL THEY WILL BE CALLING AGAIN N AGAIN. LAST WEEK I CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO PAY NOW BUT WHEN I AM LITTLE BETTER ON MY MONEY I WILL CALL THEM AND PAY WHATEVER I CAN. Complaint: discover purchase protection claim # XXXX. The discover credit card offers purchase protection up to {$500.00} if stolen or damaged. My product on the claim was " stolen '' and Discover card claim service says it is not stolen, it was " loss '' says Discover Card and stated that I was not do due diligent. When I spoke with the person to report my claim, he says that my claim should be covered as it has been with other customers. However, Discover Card, denied my claim. Other claims was approved and mine was not. They stated that because it was in a public place that they do not cover and Discover Card only protects your purchase when it is taken from your hand or other places than public places. It does not state that in the policy and also someone took it from me.

Complaint: Discover card keeps Rising my interest rate to insane levels which is become clear they are ripping me off, I pay my bills on time and I am never late but they keep increasing rate which when I contact them to get rate lower they make excuses! the interest rate on a XXXX balance is {$250.00} per month and I pay $ XXXX- {$500.00} per month on my bill and it does not go down.
I am retired and on a fixed income and I can not continue to do this, I do not mind paying a fair share but this is crazy and
