Complaint: There is a fraudulent charge on my credit card account. I first contacted my financial institution, Discover, about the issue on XXXX/XXXX/16. After being transferred numerous times XXXX in the investigations department told us that he opened the claim and that I would receive the credit of the fraudulent amount to my card within three business days. The credit did not show up to my account as promised and on XXXX/XXXX/16 I contacted Discover and explained the conversation and asked if I needed to take additional steps, XXXX in the fraud department could not see that a claim was ever opened. She contacted a supervisor and then told me that she could n't do anything, then attempted to transfer me to someone who could, but hung up on me instead. On XXXX/XXXX/16 I contacted Discover in another attempt to take care of the issue and was told that I needed to fax in the statement because she could n't find it. When I was easily able to pull up that statement on my online account I called back to customer service. XXXX was very helpful, found the charge and then explained to a fraud specialist how to find it. After she transferred me to a specialist, XXXX at XXXX EST, even though he could see the statement he became very rude and told me I needed to fax it to him anyway, even though he admitted to having it right there in front of him. I faxed the statement as requested, and then called back on the XXXX as I was told by the representatives, to have the claim opened. XXXX in the Charge verification department seemed to try very hard to get the issue resolved. He told me that we should never have been asked to fax the statment and was even able to get ahold of XXXX who remembered me and helped him to find the statement. Once he had the statment he asked me a number of questions about the charge, and from there, he attempted to open the claim. He said his system was n't allowing it, but he kept trying and told me " even though I 'm having trouble, if there is fraud on the account we HAVE to open the claim. '' He put me on holds while talking to multiple departments and supervisors that totaled to an hour and a half of my time. Then he came back and told me that he is sorry there is nothing he can do about it and that I should try contacting government agencies about the problem.

Complaint: I transferred a small balance from an interest charging credit card to Discover card so that I could take advantage of an interest-free offer for a specified period of time which I believe was one year. Apparently that time period has expired inasmuch as they have, without ANY prior notice, charged me interest on the balance effective this month ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I have done this with other cards in the past and I have always received notice that the 0 % interest rate is about to expire. I have double-checked the prior 2 moth 's statements just to be sure I did n't miss something! I can not find anywhere on those XXXX statements where I was in anyway notified that my 0 % interest rate was about to expire.

Trouble with how payments are handled
Complaint: I had XXXX private loans with Discover Student Loans that were charged off several years ago. XX/XX/2016 I came to a settlement agreement with Discover and paid off these loans on XX/XX/2016. Discover has continued to report them as past due even though no further money is owed to Discover. I first disputed directly with the Credit Reporting Agencies, and Discover verified the incorrect information. Then I sent a letter directly to Discover explaining the issue and received only a form letter in response saying the reported information is correct. On XXXX, as of a report from XX/XX/2016 ( almost 4 months after settlement ) they were still reporting {$460.00} past due as of XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX loan, {$490.00} past due XX/XX/2016 and {$590.00} past due XX/XX/2016 on a second loan, and {$760.00} past due as of XX/XX/XXXX on a XXXX loan. That is XXXX incorrect reportings on XXXX. On XXXX, they listed all three loans as past due in both XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/2016 ( XXXX incorrect updates ). On XXXX they also listed each loan past due in both XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX incorrect updates. That is XXXX incorrect updates by my count. I have followed the available procedures to get them to correct their reporting and they have failed to investigate.

Complaint: I had an account well over 10 years ago with Discover Card. 10 years ago I had moved to brasil. A couple years ago they liened my bank account. That is exactly when I learned I owed Discover card over {$6000.00} what with attorney fees and interest ...
While I was in XXXX they " served '' " me '' with court papers and got a judgement against me in court. I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX skinny XXXX male. They served someone who was described as XXXX '', XXXX pounds and XXXX,.. The judge laughed when I asked her to go see how I was " served. '' I immediately called the attorneys working for discover card.
I sent proof all my money was XXXX payment standong term XXXX. Payments l exempt from judgements in California.
When still spitefully made me wait a couple months till the court date. Maybe hoping. I would not appear a dashed get my entire movie ths income.
I then sent off all the information to discover in Ohio. Pointing out the defective service. Giving them ALL my bank account numbers with proof it was judgement exempt income. AND???
They told me they assigned me to a new attorney who will probably wait and lien my account and hope that by then this permanently XXXX old man is too sick to. Are the long bus ride to court, etc etc By the way : I DID offer, in writing, to negotiate with them IF they could offer me any proof at all that the debt was actually mine, and how much of it was interest and attorney fees IF so ... But. Of course, they did n't have that. Guess they assumed they had me Locked in with their judgement.
