Complaint: I had two Discover credit cards XXXX and XXXX which I stop using in XX/XX/XXXX due to them moving money from one card to the other, adding charges that were not mind and others. I did a XXXX for law suites against XXXX and noted quite a few of the that required them to pay back their card holder the money that they illegally charged. I did not receive any refunds from then in fact the assed more charges to my cards because I stop using them! They also tried to get money out of my bank and from another credit card that I have! One of many court order that XXXX is not following. The Discover Fake Credit Card Agreement Class Action Lawsuit is XXXX XXXX v. Discover Bank, Case No. XXXX, in the in the Supreme Court of the State of New York , County of XXXX XXXX.

Complaint: On XX/XX/16, Discover bank informed me about dispatch of new credit card with updated chip technology. On XX/XX/16 I found there were 4 charges on my account which I did n't make. The charges were : XX/XX/16 : XXXX XXXX ( XXXX CA ) - {$320.00} XX/XX/16 : XXXX ( XXXX CA ) - {$610.00} XX/XX/16 : XXXX ( XXXX, CA ) - {$620.00} XX/XX/16 XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA ) - {$810.00} The total amount of unauthorized charges was {$2300.00}. On the same day I reported Discover bank about it and froze the account and few days later I approached local police department ( Case : XXXX ). Bank did investigation on their part and held me responsible for the above charges because the new card was sent to my address and was activated on XX/XX/16 using my phone number. To prove my innocence I submitted my call records but they said that is n't enough and asking for proof like video footage of person who made those transactions. Fortunately, XXXX CA police managed to get video footage of the person making transaction of {$610.00} on XX/XX/16. In their report they described that person and mentioned that the person is n't me. ( XXXX : XXXX ) Even with all these proofs, Discover bank is holding me responsible for those unauthorized transactions.

They did not waive the late fee. I got another bill for {$26.00} late fee. I called. They said the would waive it. I got another bill with two late fees. They keep charging me a late fee. The account should have been zeroed.

Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a certificate of deposit with Discover Bank under the XXXX XXXX XXXX promotion. I was supposed to receive a {$50.00} credit for depositing {$2500.00}. The credit was never applied. I have contacted Discover Bank over the last 6 months several times and was promised that the matter would be investigated. I received no response. On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Discover Bank again and received a response from XXXX, stating that I did not meet the funding requirement of the promotion and that I needed to fund {$2500.00} in one transaction. I deposited two {$1200.00} deposits, two weeks apart. I advised XXXX that the terms and conditions of the account and the promotional flyer did not specify that the {$2500.00} must be funded in one transaction. I request CFPB assistance as I have not been able to resolve this matter directly with Discover Bank.

The charges were finely taken off BUT not the over draft and late fees and the charges rate went up! I quite use both cards. Next the started transferring money from one card to the other, charging me transfer fees, late fees, over draft fees ...! When I complain about this they would tell me pay or we take you to court.

I have forgotten that Discovery took money out of my bank with out my authority almost causing me to bunch checks. And trying to transfer money with out my authority from my other credit cards. Complaint: I filed immediate complaint w/ Discover Card about a VETRENARIAN VISIT advertising " free exam '' X/XX/2017 ( my pet ) never got physical exam, ( in my presence ) no call back on, XXXX XXXX results or diagonosis. nothing for over a month. ( my cat is male they said he was female, my cat is XXXX & has XXXX XXXX and they said he was n't like that when they saw him? ) Called/e-mailed this vendor, XXXX XXXX XXXX MANY times. They said exam was done in the " back room '' where they took his blood? I filed a DISPUTE w/Discover Card # XXXX.Discover refunded me the $ ( {$88.00} ) at first then charged me back. The vendor sent them 7 pages of questionable /info on my cat.I NEVER SAW or GOT any of this from them, this is 2 months later ... The info they supplied Discover Card was wrong/lied, Discover Card is ignoring my Better Business Bureau complaint, the CA Vetrenarian Assoc. , complaint, numerous online complaints from others about this business and are taking sides w/ the BAD VENDOR .... XXXX does n't do this, they refund you bad vendor purchases w/ a string of complaints ... .I am NOT paying this bill ... .I still do n't know what is wrong w/y cat and DISCOVER CARD is USELESS in protecting consumers. pb

Complaint: To Whom It May Concern: About XX/XX/XXXX I started getting $2,000 to $5,000.00 charges on my credit cards a month from a cosmetic company! I would contest these charges; they would be dropped only to show up on another card the next month! This XXXX went on for years, could not get through to the people in XXXX that I am a man and do not use cosmetic. After 6 to 7 years of this XXXX the charges stopped! Then Discover stated the $4,000.00 to $8,000.00 transfers from card to card. With late fees, overdrawn fees, fees on top of fees. I stop using all their cards in XX/XX/XXXX except XXXX. They stopped charges. Well in XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed that my claim for XXXX from Social security and the Veterans Administration was approved< but is seems that the insurance company or the credit card company were informed of this before I was and canceled my XXXX and XXXX insurance. I sat down and figured how much I did owe them and stop paying when I hit that amount.

I contacted Discover card services in Delaware, spoke to a representative named XXXX, gave him the account last 4 numbers, and was informed that I had no active account with them, and that their records did n't go back further to identify me or my wife as a card holder. Which is interesting since this account shows I have a {$3900.00} balance. Since I ma quite certain that I do not use, nor intend to ever use Discover in the future I 'd like to get this information corrected.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke to XXXX ext. XXXX from Discover student loans. He advised me, that given my situation, if I enrolled into course on a part-time basis in the Fall ( XXXX ), then my past due payment would automatically would become current. He advised that once I sent in the deferment form along with a school registration receipt, then Discover would process my account as current with no negative credit reporting. I faxed the forms he needed two business days later, Tuesday. I then spoke to Discover that following Saturday and was told by a supervisor by the name of XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX, Utah, that XXXX was completely wrong and that my account was going to be reported 60 days past due, even if I was enrolled in courses for the Fall. She said she has also reviewed the call that I had with XXXX and that XXXX never said my account would become current. She also said that there was no policy on Discover placing my account current due to being enrolled in classes. Not only did this representative lie to me but she only made the effort to collect the past due payment without regard to my enrollment status. She completely lied about the details she " heard '' in the conversation I had with XXXX and she made this clear that she said I was lieing. I ask that the CFPB review all of these calls and not only have Discover fix late credit reporting but also send me their policy on deferments.

Complaint: Dear FDIC and CFPB I am a customer of Discover Bank, which is regulated by FDIC and which does substantial consumer financial business. On XXXX XXXX XXXX, I received two identical false letters purporting to be from Discover Bank that alleged that we had changed our address from a stated address to the same stated address. We had neither made nor authorized any address change. Puzzled by this repeated false allegation, I feared it might signal that someone had breached Discover Banks security and that this was a signal that account holders files had been breached and that addresses were being changed, or were subject to being changed. I learned from an earlier breach at Discover that account hackers sometimes change account addresses to misdirect the next statement, while they raid the account. So I called a trusted number at Discover and spoke to a Discover employee XXXX XXXX, in XXXX [ All Discover employee name spellings in this message are my phonetic spellings based on verbal exchanges on the phone. ] XXXX referred me to XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX a Document Specialist Supervisor who orally reassured me that this is a known problem in which Discover sent out many of these false letters, in duplicate to customers whos addresses had not changed. I explained that I needed a written explanation of what happened that caused this. XXXX explained that they would not be willing to provide a written explanation other than that this was a mistake, and that our account had not been compromised. I said OK send me that. She said she couldnt guarantee that would happen but she would submit a request, and it would take 2-3 business days to submit and any response would take 7-10 business days to reach me. She said they would let me know if they chose to refuse to even confirm this error. She did not. Having heard nothing back from Discover Bank on this inquiry, I called Discover again on XXXX XXXX XXXX and got XXXX XXXX in XXXX who checked and determined that that letter request was declined on XXXX XXXX by one of Discovers customer advocacy agents, XXXX XXXX in our Delaware office, and no one had relayed that information back to XXXX, which explains why I did not hear back from XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX MON XXXX I called Discovers Executive Office of Customer Advocacy at XXXX, got XXXX, who transferred me to XXXX XXXX, who several times confirmed that it was declined and finally, on the third request, admitted that she was the one who had declined it, and said that was according to their procedures. I asked who ( individual, executive or office name ) had written that procedure and she said she could not provide any of that information about the authorship of that procedure. She said their email address was XXXX. This letter is to : 1. Notify you, if Discover Bank has not already done so, that Discover Bank says it has sent out many of these duplicate, false letters to account holders, but has declined to provide any written acknowledgment to an affected customer, nor any reassurance that this was not a failure of computer customer data security. 2. Request you, as cognizant government agencies, to require this regulated bank to follow up with all affected customers with at least a reassurance that this was a blunder within the bank and was not a signal of any customer account data breach. 3. Request that you prevent regulated banks from positioning employees in the risky position where they take actions with bank customers based on anonymous Procedures, but are commanded not to reveal the office or officers in the Bank who dictate those procedures. Such managerial cowardice puts customers and individual employees in the position of being unable to identify who is actually responsible for bank actions ( good or bad ) that may hurt consumers, or violate rules, regulations or laws. Recent public reports of employees at XXXX XXXX being disciplined or discharged for evidently following procedures regarding opening new accounts in customer names without the customers knowledge or permission make this a frightening possibility for any bank employee, and a threatening one for consumers. Complaint: I applied for Discover student loans consolidation on XX/XX/XXXX, in the amount of XXXX. I was told by the company that you may dispute the claims, and within 30 days there would be an additional soft pull of your credit report once all dispute info was obtained. Customer service stated that they would not be conducting another soft inquiry. On XX/XX/XXXX, My credit was pulled a 2nd time within 30 days without my permission. i have spoken with several managers, who did claim that the practice was wrong, and should not have been conducted as I was told something different, than what was done. Here we are, XX/XX/XXXX, and the inquiry has yet to removed from XXXX. This is the only inquiry left, discover removed them from the rest of my accounts. Discover claims to have submitted to the credit bureaus, but this is currently showing on my report. Please help. I have been speaking with supervisor XXXX, who has helped tremendously, but this has extended too far.
