Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I submitted my mortgage payment through Caliber Home Loans online site. I have been paying my mortgage this way since I got the loan and I have never had any problems until XXXX. My payment was denied. I called and was told my account was closed. This information is incorrect. My account is valid and funds are available. I made my payment again on XXXX XXXX and again it was rejected. I called again and talked to a supervisor who was no help at all. I was told I could not have the phone number to their accounting department to try to straighten this out as they do not take phone calls! What? That 's ridiculous. How can you resolve an issue if you ca n't talk to anyone! I called my bank and they said a payment was never initiated by this company. I ended up sending a check overnight and I am still waiting to see the outcome of this " try '' which will be # XXXX now. I am concerned because everything I am reading on the internet it seems this is happening to a lot of people every XX/XX/XXXX. Seems to be too much of a coincidence to me. I do not want my account to be late or late fees added when I am doing everything I can to keep my account current.

Complaint: Caliber home loans " contacted me by mail to refinance my mortgage they now hold my XXXXmortgage I was put in touch with a loan officer XXXX and before a loan officer XXXX XXXX he told me caliber will add all our credit cards and auto loan and pay them off and add this amount to our new mortgage at a XXXX percentage for 20 years and caliber would pay all costs at closing I would only pay appraisal cost the loan officer told me all was good with the loan and removed XXXX dollars from my XXXX XXXX card caliber drug this out for over 3 months now they said they would not approve loan because of credit limit to high caliber was to pay these off at closing I have contacted you about this earlier but with less information thank you

Complaint: I am disputing my payment history and my escrow account, My XXXX confirmation date was XXXX XXXX. My home loans were re modified. I took months and years to get the proper numbers from the banks, and the first bank sold the note to Caliber Home loans, I was in default and in XXXX XXXX, I paid over {$62000.00} to catch up on all payments. Below is the response from Caliber Home Loans Response Please be advised, XXXX mailed a reinstatement letter to you on XXXX XXXX, XXXX requesting an amount of {$64000.00} by XXXX XXXX, XXXX to reinstate the loan. The reinstatement meant you will bring your mortgage current by paying all past due amounts including the amount that we paid on your behalf ( servicer advances ). As stated herein, Caliber did not advance any funds on your behalf ; therefore, the escrow shortage was not included in the reinstatement amount. XXXX XXXX, XXXX : Caliber received {$10000.00} via check number ending in XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX : Caliber received check number XXXX in the amount of {$10000.00} and check number XXXX in the amount of {$11000.00}. XXXX XXXX, XXXX : Caliber received check number XXXX in the amount of {$9800.00}. XXXX XXXX, XXXX : Caliber received a wire transfer in the amount of {$22000.00}. The above amount totaled {$63000.00} and was posted to the loan as follows : XXXX monthly payments ( excluding the escrow shortage collection ) in the amount of {$790.00}. These monthly payments were from XXXX XXXX, XXXX through the XX/XX/XXXX monthly installment which brought the loan contractually current and next due for the XX/XX/XXXX monthly payment. o It should be noted, within the enclosed payment history, the term " Post-Allocate '' reflects a monthly installment. Next Caliber posted {$1300.00} towards fees that were assessed on the loan at that time. {$270.00} were posted towards uncollected late charges. After the funds were posted as detailed above, there was a remaining {$790.00}. This amount was posted towards principal. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, fees in the amount of {$600.00} were billed to the loan. Please be advised, these fees were not included in the reinstatement amount as they were not yet billed to the loan at the time the reinstatement quote was provided ; however they are due in accordance with the executed loan terms. Caliber received a payment in the amount of {$790.00} on XXXX XXXX, XXXX which posted towards a monthly payment bringing the loan contractually due for the XX/XX/XXXX monthly installment. An additional fee in the amount of {$15.00} was assessed to the loan XXXX XXXX, XXXX for a property inspection completed during XXXX as a result of the default on the loan. Again, this was not billed to the loan at the time the reinstatement was completed and could not be included on the reinstatement quote you were provided. An escrow analysis was conducted on XXXX XXXX, XXXX which advised that you would incur a payment change effective with the XX/XX/XXXX monthly installment. This change would increase the monthly payment from {$790.00} to {$2000.00} due to an escrow shortage at that time in the amount of {$13000.00}. This shortage originally was spread over twelve ( 12 ) months. However, in an effort to reduce the payment amount Caliber adjusted the shortage to be spread over sixty ( 60 ) months thereby increasing your original monthly payments from {$790.00} to {$1100.00} still effective with the XXXX XXXX, XXXX payment.

Complaint: Since XX/XX/XXXX I 've tried to get a loan modification through Loss and Mitigation at Caliber Home Loans. XX/XX/XXXX they close out my file and reopened it on XX/XX/XXXX again Caliber Home Loans closed out my account. I have sent them via email an application for the Loss and Mitigation process and other requested documents. Every time I phone them back I 'm told I need to send more documents that they did n't receive or claim was n't signed. On Thursday XX/XX/XXXX I sent them more documents. Time is of the essence since my property will be foreclosed on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX, Colorado time. I would like to save my home as it is my primary residence.

Complaint: Caliber Home Loan purchased or was servicing the loan from the prior company never notified all interested parties as I am on the note and deed but not on the Mortgage. I have been trying to save the home as I purchased the properties with a partner which is the primary person on the documents. I have received recently information regarding foreclosure which I was never notified of the initial delinquency or intent to foreclose and nothing regarding a lender placed insurance policy placed on the home. I requested copies of original signatures on the documents signed at closing ie Note, Deed etc. To date they mentioned since Im not the initial person on the loan they can not speak to me but they have initiated me in the foreclosure process. I would like to modify these loans as they are upside down the amounts owed currently and the values and underwater. No one from this Mortgage company ( which the original company XXXX ) has contacted me directly via phone other than initiated a foreclosure process.. Please look into this company and its current dealings as I am in the dark about the documents requested.

Complaint: I was contacted on XX/XX/XXXX email by XXXX from Caliber Home Loans to refinance my current loan with them. I replied on XX/XX/XXXX he gave me an acceptable estimate for refinancing my condo which was already mortgaged with Caliber. XXXX then proceeded to try to get me to refinance my primary home. He presented another favorable quote so I proceeded. We started the process and got both appraisals done and I provided all of the requested documents. The appraisals came back lower than the estimates so XXXX reworked the estimates and I approved and we moved on. This all happened before XXXX. I got a call from my first loan processor XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX herself and stating she was beginning the next phase of my loans. I have never heard another word from XXXX. I began trying to get a status of my loans on XX/XX/XXXX to allow extra time for the holidays. I called and emailed both XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Neither of them EVER replied or returned my phone calls. I tried emailing and calling multiple times every day. I called their main number but they were useless. I tried logging onto my account to check the status of my loans but I could n't even access my account because of some IT problem they were having. I finally got someone on the XXXX number to give me someone else 's number. So I started calling XXXX who was supposedly XXXX boss but he never called me back either. On XX/XX/XXXX I got a call back from XXXX and he has been the most responsive but he has gone silent since the holidays. I was then assigned a new loan processor XX/XX/XXXX who basically started all over. I was told my new loan details after the appraisals came back lower were never entered into their system even though I had signed the new loans before XXXX. XXXX sent new estimates and my closing costs were higher even though I was borrowing less. XXXX said it was because my properties were entered as something other than condos and the condo closing costs are higher. He also refused to reimburse me for the appraisals. He said I would get " credit for paying '' them at closing but I would not get reimbursed as XXXX had told me. He also is not honoring the lender credit I was given. I had locked in my interest rates which expired on XX/XX/2017. Supposedly Caliber extended the rate lock until XX/XX/XXXX but I have only received an email about the rate lock. I have not seen any official documentation. Late last week XXXX said there is a problem with the HOA on my primary property because of pending litigation but that it could still be handled and I could close on both properties if the right departments from Caliber was involved. I have not heard a word from XXXX since and the only communication I received at all was from XXXX 's boss yesterday in an informal email about my rate lock extension. I know this is a lengthy story but here are my complaints : 1. Deceitful marketing practices. I am confident XXXX intentionally entered my properties into their system as something other than condos to make the deals more attractive in order to get me to refinance. The reason I am confident is because they already hold the loan on one of my properties. 2. Not honoring the agreement of reimbursing me for the appraisals and not giving me the lender credit as promised. 3. The total and complete lack of professionalism in their lack of communication with their customer, me. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with any institution wanting my business for anything.
