Complaint: I sent Citibank a letter to attempt to settle this old account that was a charge off since 2013. The sent me a letter saying they would update the credit bureau 's. They reported that I was 60 days late. I have settled the account and want to have this corrected as paid.

Reporting company used your report improperly
Complaint: In Summary, I have excellent credit. I rarely get hard queries on my report because I'm very sensitive about doing credit pulls. I went to XXXX XXXX and my wife wanted to buy something. They offered me an additional 25 % on the purchase if my XXXX 's account was inactive. I said what does that mean, they responded, if you're account hasn't been used in a long time ( undefined at the time ) you could be eligible. I said sure is there an easy way to find out. They said yes. I explicity stated there is not credit pulls on this, is there - they said no. I said great. Then they noticed my card was expire or wasn't updated because new cards have a chip. They said we can reissue you a new card. At this point i got home and received a new card in the mail and sure enough, i got an alert from my credit monitoring company that XXXX XXXX XXXX ran credit on me WITHOUT my consent. I have emailed and called XXXX 's about this with no response. I will be pursing legal action on XXXX 's if they don't get this remidated. I noticed i could file a complaint with CFPB because i'm sure others went through this exact process and this is plain freveloous not letting customers konw they are doing a credit pull without the express content of their customers.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: As POA for my father ( who suffers from XXXX XXXX XXXX ), I am attempting to pay and close his overdue account at Citi.
I've been given multiple fax numbers and mailing addresses, and after sending my POA docs a total of SIX different times, I am still not listed on the account, nobody will speak to me, and I can not get a final invoice to pay.
Citi is making it impossible to pay a bill.

Didn't receive terms that were advertised
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was approved for a Citibank account. This date is shown in the official correspondence I received from Citi. When I contacted Citi about my promotional offer of {$300.00} they denied that I was eligible for the bonus. They stated that it was past 30 days to make the initial deposit. Since my account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX that means I have until XX/XX/XXXX to make my initial deposit for the bonus requirement.
Here are the terms so there is no confusion : Receive a sign up bonus of {$300.00} when you complete the following requirements : Open a new eligible consumer checking account in The Citibank Account Package Within thirty days, make a qualifying deposit of {$15000.00} or more in new-to-Citibank funds into the new checking account or new or existing Citi Savings Account or existing Citibank Savings Plus Account, and maintain a minimum balance of {$15000.00} for sixty consecutive calendar days following the date when you made the qualifying deposit.
Within thirty days, 1 qualifying Direct Deposit must post to the new checking Account each month for 2 consecutive calendar months after opening the new checking account.
The Fine Print For the Citi Priority Cash bonus offer, Eligible Customers are New-to-Citibank customers who ( 1 ) enroll in the Priority Checking Offer, ( 2 ) open an Eligible Checking Account as first signer and are also ( 3 ) at least eighteen ( 18 ) years of age, and ( 4 ) have a valid XXXX or XXXX XXXX on file with Citibank. Complaint: XXXX report says : CBNA on XX/XX/XXXX they gave me a hard inquiry into something i never asked for and this is staying on my credit report and hurting it.
XXXX/XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX said they would soft inquiry and check if i was approved. and now it is a hard inquiry and i never even got a credit card from them.

i had to pay them {$300.00} so they could give me a credit card worth {$300.00}. and this secured credit card doesnt actually give me credit since i prepaid this money. Anyone can get this type of credit card and a hard inquiry is not proper for this.

Problem with fees
Complaint: I was refunded {$3000.00} for a canceled cruise. The credit hit my account on XX/XX/XXXX. The money was available to use for point of sale purchases. On XX/XX/XXXX I put a request in to transfer the money to my checkig account. I was advised that it would be complete within 3-5 business days. I called back on XX/XX/XXXX to check the status and was advised that it is still under review. The rep stated the funds were still under review to make sure the refund was valid and could be processed. My account balance states XXXX. I have been using the funds to conduct point of sale transactions which they make money off of but it is frozen for me to send to my bank account. I asked if I could do a cash advance at my bank to obtain the funds and they said I can but it will be a {$75.00} fee. They want to charge me to get my own money? I spoke to an account manager XXXX who refused to waive the fee or put me in contact with her manager. I want my money released and then I am closing this credit card out. Horrible non existent customer service.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: I made a payment via electronic banking to Home Depot Credit Services in the amount of {$5100.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. Unfortunately I intended for it to go to my Home Depot Project Loan account but I sent it to a Home Depot credit card account that is closed due to inactivity.
I contacted Home Depot and they claim no knowledge of my payment. I never received any notice the credit card account was closed nor any communication about my money being received or being returned.
They will not provide any phone number for their Payment Research Center, only an address to mail inquiries to in XXXX XXXX, MI. I am concerned by their actions they will attempt to steal my money and I am requesting your help.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: - Opened dispute with Citi on XX/XX/XXXX for a transaction of {$3100.00} with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX.
- Vendor performed work on my car including putting on new brakes, rotors, wheels, wheel spacers, and tires. Vendor damaged my radiator during repair process and refused liability. Radiator caused car to overheat and had to be towed to be fixed. Three days after receiving car from vendor front passenger side wheel and tire came off on highway. Causing serious damage to car in excess of {$15000.00} and eliminating all trust in the work done by vendor.
- Retained an attorney to open a successful lawsuit against XXXX XXXX for damages caused to car, not including original purchase amount.
- Sent Citi all insurance information from accident, repair bills, and lawsuit information to dispute the original charge from vendor.
- Vendor responded with a fax of a invoice, and Citi closed the dispute with no refund issued.
- Retained attorneyXX/XX/18 on to demand that Citi refute these charges from vendor and reimburse me the complete amount of {$3100.00} and provided additional evidence from 3rd party XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX used in lawsuit to prove vendor fault.
- Citi closed dispute with no action taken on XX/XX/18 with the following response : " We no longer have any available means to assist you in this matter since the timeframe in which to resolve a dispute has passed ''.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I had opened a secured credit card in XX/XX/XXXX and I decided to close the account and paid the balance in full {$190.00} in XX/XX/XXXX. After that I disputed the debt because the unpaid balance of {$18000.00} appear in my Credit Reports. I tried to validate the debt two times and they were not providing the details. I dont recognize the purchase transaction that happens in XX/XX/XXXX, and other unexplained transactions that appears after that.
Also, I want to mention that after the account was satisfied they started to accumulate late fees until XX/XX/XXXX that results in the balance of {$18000.00}.
I initiated an investigation and in XX/XX/XXXX then Citi sent me a letter receiving the dispute, but until today I have never received an explanation about the transaction details. After that some communications were sent and calls done but were not successful to resolve the issue. Last call was done in XX/XX/XXXX and they said they can not retrieve any history and they didn't have the transactions in their systems. Instead they are asking me to provide the documents.
Under my knowledge I paid the account in full in XX/XX/XXXX and I have never received the {$200.00} secured deposit.

Complaint: In 2009 we owned 5 parcels of land, we pay all taxes our selves. XXXX took it upon themselves to pay taxes on a parcel that was not a parcel with their mortgage. We sent them a letter explaining what they had done. We received a letter of apology from them. Also a letter from them they received a refund from our tax office, that they received a refund. We have called them repeatedly for years and they keep turning in late payments to credit bureaus. Also letters stating they will foreclose for non-payment. They are charging my scheduled house payment, ( XXXX dollars ) to XXXX dollars a month for nothing. We have always payed our land taxes and our home insurance. We have never been late on our payment. I have requested a mediator from them to fix this they only ignore my request! I do have all documents we have sent and received.
