Complaint: I have been having difficulty with CitiBank Credit Card Services. My initial credit limit was {$1000.00} and I have been making my minimum payments. On XX/XX/XXXX I made a payment in the amount XXXX and {$60.00}. I made the larger payment because I needed to pay a bill using a credit card. When I checked my balance the following morning my limit had instantly been reduced to {$510.00}. Therefore essentially Citibank took the funds that were paid without any prior notice of wanting to reduce my credit limit or increasing my minimum payment so that the balance could be paid, negotiating a payment arrangement, or just cancelling my cash advance amount. They just took the {$470.00}. They later sent an email on XX/XX/XXXX stating they had reduced my credit limit after the fact that they had already taken the funds. I called on XX/XX/XXXX asking for a reinstatement of my credit line and/or a refund of the payment. The representative stated that he would file a request someone would contact me in 5-7 business days. I heard from no one and called them back on XX/XX/XXXX. Spoke with another supervisor who stated he would " have the request expedited '' I would hear back from someone in 2 business days '' I called a third time XX/XX/XXXX a woman said that there were no responses listed regarding the issue and that she would " send an email to the refund department '' it's been almost a month and nothing has been done. This is a shady and unscrupulous way at attempting to force a consumer to pay off a credit card faster.

Complaint: XXXX automatically enrolled me in a credit protection program when I first signed up for the card. I had no idea this program existed and that there was a fee attached after all these years. We were using our card often until the balance started to increase and I decided to stop making purchases to pay it off. its been 2 years and the balance continued to increase instead of decrease. That's when I noticed the additional fee. XXXX $ per every {$100.00} spent on the card. I called to end this program immediately and they said they would stop it and put in a refund request since I had no idea. Customer service was very rude and they ended up denying my refund. I have probably been charged over XXXX since XX/XX/2012 with these fees alone.

Complaint: I had a credit card with AMEX because I used it at XXXX. XXXX decided to terminate the relationship with AMEX and my AMEX account was closed. XXXX sold the list to Citibank who sent me letters telling me to sign up for a XXXX XXXX credit card. I did not sign any forms with Citibank and now they are attempting to collect money from me. I have never charged anything, I do not have a Citibank card. Their charges are from their annual fee and interest. I have written to Citibank several times and they do not answer. I get calls daily from a Citibank robo caller. I hate Citibank. I think this is like XXXX XXXX opening accounts without permission.

Complaint: I applied for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX by Citi on XX/XX/2018, and get a response what my application is under review asking to call Citi for more details. I called them XX/XX/XXXX and they said they require additional documents from me, one of the following : US passport, Permanent Residence Card ( " green card '' ) or voter card. I'm resident alien in the US on H1B visa with valid SSN but I don't have any of this documents : I'm not a US citizen to have a passport or voter card and I don't have a green card either. They neither decline my application nor approve it. I called them to check if there is a mistake in data and they accidentally have US citizenship for me in the file and they responded - no. I have a few other credit cards with different banks and I have an excellent credit history and I never was asked to have a permanent resident card or the US citizenship to apply for credit card. Moreover, there is no such information on terms and conditions page for this credit card

Complaint: The nightmare started onXX/XX/XXXX when I accidently made 2 {$1500.00} payments. *XX/XX/XXXXMade {$1500.00} payment via Citi app *XX/XX/XXXX Made {$1500.00} payment from my banks web bank *XX/XX/XXXX I was informed by my bank that I had and overdraft due to the extra {$1500.00} payment. I immediately moved XXXX to cover the second payment. I contacted Citi and was advised to contact my bank and have them stop the payment since it was going to be resubmitted again that night. *XX/XX/XXXX After 2 more returned payments from Citi I called again to see if the issue was corrected. *XX/XX/XXXX After calling daily without any explanation of why the payments were returned from Citi I re-entered my bank info ( since Citi deleted ). *XX/XX/XXXX I made a {$200.00} payment that cleared *XX/XX/XXXX Payment of {$300.00} made and cleared *XX/XX/XXXX Payment of {$500.00} made and cleared *XX/XX/XXXXCiti Supervisor advised that hold was placed on the account and that I could not use until XX/XX/XXXX. He assured me that the hold would be removed and that there were no other issues. *XX/XX/XXXX Payment of {$1500.00} made and cleared. *XX/XX/XXXX I was on the phone for hours and was told that my account was closed and would not be reopen. Because I was advised to stop pay on the original {$1500.00} duplicate payment it caused my account to be closed. I have been a Citi customer for years and have never made a late payment!! I make several large payments a month and this card is used for my husbands work expenses. None of the returned payments caused my account to become delinquent. I also paid off a high balance Citi card several months ago. I am really upset that Citi did this to a great customer who makes their payments ontime-I bet if I was having issues with my payments I wouldn't have been treated like this!! They call when I used my card 2x at a gas station but can not call to advise me of this issue. I guess it doesn't pay to pay your bills and do the right thing!!

Complaint: I received numerous late payments on my credit reports as a result of a severe medical situation that caused me to go through a financial hardship. I know that even being hospitalized for extended periods is no excuse to miss payments, but it was a circumstance that I feel is worth mentioning. By no means are you obligated to remove these late payments because I did miss these payments. However, I have been a long time XXXX XXXX customer and still have a XXXX XXXX card to this day. Due to the circumstances of severe medical issues surrounding my late payments and since I did pay my balance in full with late fees, I would like to ask that these late payments be removed from my credit report as a gesture of good will. They currently affect my scores and my ability to live life and anything I do. I would like nothing more than to be granted this one time good will gesture to have these removed because I have been a loyal customer of the company for so long and made right on the missed payments. Please remove these for me as a one time courtesy, I beg of you. I also served several years in the military and fought in XXXX. As a veterans of the United States Military I also ask for this one time favor. Please, if there is any way possible, please remove these missed payments from my credit report. Thank you very much.

Complaint: My employer received a writ of garnishment on me for a credit card through citi bank. I did have a credit card in XX/XX/XXXX and possibly still owe the debt. However, the judgment is through XXXX XXXX XXXX through an attorneys office. The judgment date on the court document says XX/XX/XXXX but the order was signed XX/XX/XXXX. The card was last used in XX/XX/XXXX. However, the XXXX company could not provide me with any information other than it was a Citibank account. I offered to pay a settlement and they countered with a settlement I am not willing to pay. I was not notified in person, phone, or mail of this debt, only from my employer who received the writ in the mail. The statue of limitations should have expired in Arkansas. Also, the company has been unable to provide me with any information regarding my account with Citibank other than that I owe a debt.

Citi Mortgage has denied me for a loan modification 12 times using an incorrect property value and rate of interest. Currently my home in a foreclosure with a foreclosure sale date scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX. Although we have re-submitted the request for the loan modification on XX/XX/XXXX. Based on an email from Citi Mortgage the single point of contact XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX, indicated that " the file is with an Underwriter and at this moment no additional documents are needed. At this point in time, a decision has not been reached ''. Regretfully ; Citi Mortgage the Debt Collector, Servicer is ignoring the California State Law! The Homeowner Bill of Right 's dual-tracking provision Effective XX/XX/XXXX : Under the Homeowner Bill of Rights, if you submit a complete application for a foreclosure prevention alternative, the servicer/debt collector can't conduct a trustee 's foreclosure sale before it makes a decision to grant or deny the application. Complaint: In XXXX of 2016 I returned a {$5000.00} dollar leather sectional that I had purchased from XXXX because it was defective and the wood frame cracked in several places. I worked with a XXXX representative who was helpful and worked with me to get this sectional returned and credited. However once the sectional was returned and credited, XXXX showed my account as 30 days late despite the fact that I was never late but stopped paying after the sectional was returned. In addition they reduced my line of credit by 95 % so I could not even replace the sectional if I wanted to. I communicated this with the representative I had been working with and also called as per his suggestion the number he gave me where I was assured this negative mark would be taken off my account. I never bothered to look again until recently when I noticed that this was not the case and my account reflects a negative late mark from XXXX XXXX. I have several email from XXXX that show I communicated with their representative. I need to get this erroneous negative mark off my account.

I went to Best Buy and paid what I owed, they told me what the balance was. I then started getting calls from Citibank about Best Buy but my understanding I paid what I owed. Never had a physical card from them or any bills. I had paid whatever was open at Best Buy in person. Now theyre charging me with fees on top of fees and dont care about my situation it is not just.
