Complaint: I received a call from XXXX who services my homeowners insurance to let me know that a payment had not been made in early XX/XX/XXXX. I reached out to XXXX at this time because they bought my loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX before the payment way due. I talked to XXXX XXXX XXXX department and they said that it had been paid. I gave it a few days and called XXXX back. They said they still had received no payment and that my homeowners was set for a cancellation notice to go out. I reached out to XXXX again the last week of XX/XX/XXXX. The insurance services department said they would escalate it for research. Again I didnt hear back. I called the first week of XX/XX/XXXX and they said to give it a few more days because it was still being researched. We sold my house on XX/XX/XXXX and no money came back from escrow to me. I received no refund from my insurance. I called back again XX/XX/XXXX after receiving a bill from my insurance company. Insurance services said they researched and found that I would have to talk to someone in their customer service department because they couldnt see the information they needed. They tried to transfer me but it disconnected them. I called the direct number twice yesterday and twice today and after long wait times I am disconnected. I called my former mortgage company, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and they say they transferred {$1900.00} of escrow on XX/XX/XXXX when the loan was sold. My property taxes were paid but my insurance was not paid by XXXX, but they have lost the money and wont even give myself or my insurance company a check number to try and track this apparent payment. This is over {$600.00}. I then initiated an online chat with XXXX and the agent ( XXXX I think was his name ) said I would have to call. I told him I have multiple times but always get disconnected and his only answer was sorry we are experiencing high call volume and that he couldnt have someone call me I would just have to keep trying. I dont know what else to do to get the insurance company their {$95.00} and me the rest of the escrow money they owe me. Thanks!

Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Complaint: I have been making my payments on time for last several years by My XXXX XXXX billpay. Recently I began receiving several calls from you.
I called today to find out the problem. I didnt think it was the payment because I knew I was sending the payment every month. The representative told me that I sent in The wrong amount. I did NOT receive anything telling me the payment had changed So I continued to send the usual payment OF {$980.00}. I was told that the payment had changed for the XX/XX/2018 payment from {$980.00} to {$1000.00} a difference of only {$72.00}. I did NOT get anything in the mail ; it may have been lost. I get other peoples mail in my box all the time.I spoke to XXXX in the Escalation Dept. # XXXX who payment to cure the shortage.
. I have now corrected by billpay to reflect the current Monthly amount of {$1000.00}, which will be sent going forward.
Please exercise your discretion under the circumstances and waive any late fees and correct my payment history.

Complaint: Carrington MS has never provide me with a a copy of their policies and procedures as a transferred mortgage which originated with XXXX XXXX XXXX to Carrington MS in XX/XX/XXXX I have never been given in writing what their policy is on blocking mortgage payments so the homeowner can become current.
In addition, I have never been notified in the mail or received a phone call from Carrington MS that they needed to speak to me or that there was a risk of foreclosure. I made two payments in XX/XX/XXXX and they were not rejected. I did not realize there was a problem until my payments were returned that I sent through XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX Carrington Mortgage never sent me a letter of explanation of refusal of payments and I did not find out until I received mail of XX/XX/XXXX Lastly, the amount of the late fees have fluctuated over the months have been increasing with unknown fees still being claimed to be from my previous mortgage servicer, XXXX XXXX XXXX being added which was suppose to have been resolved previously in a closed case in XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX is trying to sabotage my mortgage by refusing 2 payments that I made through XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$2700.00} on XX/XX/XXXX.
I would only be one payment behind and one payment currently due but if they are allowed to refuse my payments then it will put my home into foreclosure.
I have spoke to them in the past and they have admitted that they have the right to refuse my payments. They are therefore deliberately trying to force me into foreclosure.
I spoke with XXXX the supervisor at XXXX XXXX and she stated on XX/XX/XXXX that it was returned because it wasn't enough money.
I only owe for XX/XX/XXXX,XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX On the back of my statement I boxed in the amount that I am past due.
With the payment amount of {$2700.00} that I made I would only be late for XX/XX/XXXXand XX/XX/XXXX which I was paying an additional payment in the next week.
I have attached proof of letter from XXXX XXXX of rejection and a scanned copy of my recent XX/XX/XXXX mortgage statement for XX/XX/XXXX.
Let it be known that I stated in my previous complaint recently about Carrington MS that they were going to do something like this to push my family into the streets and foreclose on our home.

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: To whom it may concern, today is XX/XX/XXXX. Yesterday I received a dispute response from XXXX which really has me baffled and concerned about my credit report and how to keep it fit for the economy and country that I live in, the United States of America.
In XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX added a delinquent mortgage account to my credit report. An account for a home that my ex-spouse resides. In the last two months the other two reporting agencies have added the default mortgage as well. My ex asked for the home in our divorce ( XXXX ) and was granted the home in writing by the judge of our divorce proceeding. He did not have my name removed or made any other attempts to show that he no longer wanted me to have a part of the home. He faulted on the VA loan and hasn't made any payments on the loan in almost four years.
XX/XX/XXXX, he filed bankruptcy, which means he isn't responsible for payments, and can not be solicited for the payments, but I am. He lives in the home with his family, not me. I spoke to the newest mortgage company, Carrington Mortgage Services, and asked them to foreclose the home or put it on the market for sale if I am the new responsible party because they will not adhere to the decree. The did not, and they also denied his paperwork for a modification for the loan and so did XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, the original owners. The first choice for them is to wait on me to make a payment and for him to live in the home for free. I will not pay a mortgage for a home that I do not reside. Carrington attempted to insert me into his loan modification in XXXX but he told me not to worry about it. I learned that I was to sign a quick deed, which did not alleviate me of financial responsibility anyway. All in all, it would've gotten payments made if they had accepted his paperwork. I am not sure the specifics to that issue.
Then I am told that the rules for foreclosure have to be met per the state 's requirements. Well how many rules and laws does it take to understand that the house is not free and the mortgage is due? Virginia needs to get it together. These mortgage companies who are not listening to what is being said should also get it together.
The home was purchased in XXXX and costs more now than it did when it was purchased, he is currently {$140000.00} in arrears. That's about a fourth of the cost of the home.. If you can live for free then there is no incentive to pay the mortgage! At the same time, permission is not needed to make a payment. He could have been making payments all this time with or without a modification. Its not like the mortgage company will return the checks, or will they?
I am writing to ask that Carrington Mortgage remove this home from my credit report, all three, and give him a payment plan for the mortgage or foreclose/sale the home immediately. Carrington should also place a valid phone number on the credit reports.I would also like the credit reporting agencies to delete " remove per divorce decree '' as an option for a dispute if the decree is not sufficient or will not be upheld once provided.

Complaint: We completed a short sale on this home XX/XX/17 and Carrington Mortgage was paid {$35000.00} from the short sale proceeds. The XXXX at the time of closing was {$58000.00}. The client has now received a XXXX saying she is being forgiven of {$79000.00}. Although we understand the XXXX is not the same as the payoff quote, we don't understand how there is such a discrepancy. I contacted Carrington on XX/XX/17 via phone and asked for clarification on the {$79000.00}. The rep told me she would have it researched and I would have a response in 5-7 days in writing. I never heard back from Carrington and our client can not file her tax returns without the correct information, so I called again today. I was on the phone over 3 hours and transferred back & forth between collections, customer service, short sale and the tax department. All parties indicated they can not see any information and are unsure where the number came from. So Carrington has issued a XXXX with information that they have no basis for?? The last rep indicated it is my responsibility to prove they are wrong by faxing in a dispute. I have just done so, however this is further delaying my client in filing her return.

Complaint: Carrington Mortgage Service consistently will report my loan delinquent 60 days even when my loan is current. My XXXX and XXXX payment was received on XX/XX/XXXX, however, as of XX/XX/XXXX my credit report still shows as 60 days past due. I am current on my mortgage, however, Carrington continues to report my mortgage a past due which is currently affecting my credit rating and making it very hard to improve my credit score and obtain credit. Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX sold my mortgage to Carrington Mortgage Services with an effective transfer date of XX/XX/XXXX.
Today is XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Carrington to obtain my loan number so I could make a payment and get some information regarding my escrow and advise them on my upcoming due property tax payment.
Carrington was unable to retrieve my loan number. In their words, they could not see my loan because it hasn't been transferred over and hadn't yet been onboarded. When I asked for additional information regarding the delay, I was told that they had XXXX accounts transfer over from XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I asked the estimated date that my account would be visible so I can make a payment, their response was simply, " It's hard to say. '' According to the " good bye letter '' from XXXX XXXX XXXX, I should have heard from Carrington no later that 15 days prior to the transfer date. I have yet to hear from Carrington.
I tried calling XXXX XXXX XXXX, who would not provide me with any information because they no longer own my mortgage and state they can not access my information any longer.
Carrington Mortgage Services now owns my loan. Regardless of any logistical mishaps in the transfer process, someone should be able to access my information.
