Complaint: I was laid-off and unemployed so applied for Special Forbearance for an unemployed homeowner to XXXX XXXX XXXX which was my mortgage company. XXXX XXXX XXXX was giving the runaround so I asked for Mediation as I lived in Maryland. Just before the mediation XXXX XXXX XXXX sold my loan to Carrington Mortgage services.
I had the mediation with Carrington Mortgage Services and during the mediation, I asked for 1 ) Short Sales which was what XXXX XXXX XXXX offered me before they sold the loan or 2 ) A deed in lieu to avoid Foreclosure proceedings. Carrington Mortgage stated that because they just bought the loan and that I am still unemployed they will let me apply for a loan modification with them first and that if that does not work out, then they will offer me either the Short Sales or A deed in lieu.
I put in the application in XX/XX/XXXX and they came back in XX/XX/XXXX for pay stubs. I reminded Carrington Mortgage Rep that I informed them at the mediation that I was unemployed and looking for a job and they asked me to apply for modification before they can tell me whether to do Short Sales or A deed in lieu. Carrington Mortgage then asked me to put into writing that I was still unemployed which I did through XXXX XXXX XXXX person who was helping out. They came back again that I was missing a document which I then uploaded to them on their site.
I have not heard anything from Carrington Mortgage so on XX/XX/XXXX I called them to check on my application and I was told that they canceled my application and that I have to re-apply because supposedly they were missing some documents from them. Informed them that the last document they asked for I uploaded on their site. I then asked them what document I am supposedly missing but Carrington Mortgage could not tell me the specific document I am supposedly missing. Carrington Mortgage Rep then informed me that she was going to send me the applications and that I will receive them in a weeks time. I waited about a week without receiving the documents so I called them and I was told I should be receiving documents soon. I called them again on XX/XX/XXXX and I was told that Carrington Mortgage had set a sales date of XX/XX/XXXX for my house to be sold for foreclosure.
I asked them how can they asked me to re-apply for a loan modification and I was waiting for the documents and they went ahead to set a foreclosure sales date without even informing me? Carrington Rep stated that they just set the date the morning I called them and that they do not have to inform me about setting date for foreclosure sale. Then they stated I can still send in the re-application to be considered.
The behavior of Carrington Mortgage is just abominable.

Complaint: This complaint it to do with Carrington mortgage services LLC I have tried to do a loan modification with them Im on my sixth attempt they do not get back to me with information that they request when I call once a week once I submit the information they tell me what they may need I get it to them this last time the girl told me I need to submit a paper which I did the next day which I have a copy of they said because I did not re-submit all the other paperwork so it was all in order they refused three mortgage this is been a problem for almost 2 years now since I was injured at work I have tried to give them payment they sent back stating they would not except any payments toward my mortgage unless it was the entire amount I had not submitted since that point at the beginning of this process I feel I have gone above and beyond trying to get them they refuse to communicate with me when they find a problem as most banks would they do not communicate they just close the system out I am trying to get back on track I am back to work was looking to start making payments but they keep denying state and I am not giving them what they need when I do have proof I have given them everything that they have needed and have asked for I have made the phone calls that they have made no contact to me I was originally with XXXX XXXX XXXX they turned or sold the account to Carrington mortgage services I was in the process of loan modification with them when they turned it over to Carrington they said I had to go through the process again which I started and I did and they feel they communicate with me and XXXX closing the case out I am now on my sixth or seventh time attempting to do this and I was wondering if there is anything that the government can do because I find that this is a little bit on the ridiculous side when a mortgage company will not talk with you and tell you our assist in trying to get everything needed to get this done I do not wish for a foreclosure I have never had a problem until I was injured I am trying to Do all I can to get this back on track and get back to normal payments and get this caught up and paid off at some point in my life this company does not seem to want to work with me when I mentioned call them and try to get additional information of why they said things werent sent and I have proof that they were said they just did not get it and want to put it in their own process of organization I dont know what their issue is but I am falling further and further behind to the point where Im probably going to lose my home and less I get some help please if you need any additional information I will be more than happy to give it to you thank you

Complaint: Dear CFPB, I reside in a area that was directly affected by Hurricane Harvey and was declared to be in a Presidentially Declared Disater Area. It is my understanding that during the Moratorium initiated by an Executive Order from the President from on/or about XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX ; loan servicers ( CMS ) were not supposed to be reporting mortgagors as being late on their loans during that time period ... see below : XXXX " The servicer must suspend the reporting of loan delinquencies to the credit bureaus ... ... ..for borrowers that are impacted by the disaster '' XXXX As of XX/XX/XXXX I checked my credit report with both XXXX and XXXX and Carrington has submitted/reported deliquincies to them every month since XX/XX/XXXX until present. As I understand it, this should HAVE NOT occurred.
I would PLEASE like this corrected as it is very damaging to my credit and causes derogatory information ON my report that is very harmful and possibly causing undue financial hardship as well.
At the very least, if CMS was going to report derogatory information incorrectly, in spite of legal mandate, it should have been reported/coded it with a notation indicating I was in a FEMA Declared Disaster Area, which was not done.
All I am asking is that CMS does what was supposed to be done under the law and FCRA be done and I will be satisfied.

Complaint: 1st Issue : Our mortgage was bought by another company during our time working overseas. As such we received notification late as result missed a payment on mortgage that we have had for 10 years and never missed a payment on. Due to our payment history on the mortgage and result of the mortgage changing ownership, don't think its fair to report the missed payment to credit bureau. Would like cfpb to look into removing this from our credit record.
2nd Issue : We have had the mortgage for 10 years on 30 year mortgage and mortgage company is still reporting 30 years to maturity. We filled several letters to correct this still haven't.
