Complaint: I bought a house last XX/XX/XXXX and my credit score was GREAT ( XXXX )! I am now trying to refinance my house and Kohls has a late fee in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX making my credit score XXXX. My credit score should be over XXXX as I have not had anything change with my credit ... .other than these two items with KOHLS/Capitol One before I even closed on my house last year ( and these did not show up last year ). I tried calling Kohls on XX/XX/XXXX to settle this with them over the phone, but they can not get records before XX/XX/XXXX ( is what they stated to me on the phone ). I even called them twice ... speaking to two different people trying to get a resolution. I need these amounts to come off my credit as they are not legit and I need to be able to pursue my financial needs of the refinance.

Complaint: Kohls has intentionally implemented a mobile app and website system which is designed to increase the probability of obtaining revenue by incurring late fees from consumers. I have not encountered a retailer which has refused to implement a WORKING automated online payment system for drafting minimum payments for each statement period. Several months ago, I tried to complete the set up to have these payments taken because I received a late fee. I have called on previous occasions to try to set up a recurring monthly minimum payment, which is not being offered. I entered all of my payment information on the website ( and it is still there to date ), however there is no option to make a recurring payment. Resultantly, I have been charged several late fees ( which by now total at least {$230.00} ) and to add insult to injury, I am also charged interest on these fees. I have been experiencing medical issues and family challenges which do not allow me to give attention to every email or remember to log in to Kohl 's to make payments, as I do not frequent the store enough to push this to the top of my to-do list. An automated payment for monthly minimums should be available, just as it is on other Capital One cards that I use. These practices are predatory in nature and designed to obtain money through dishonest means. My next step will be to try and find other Kohl 's card users because I am sure that I am not the only one who has been experiencing these issues.

Complaint: It seems as though after a long process of Capital One supposedly investigating fraudulent charges on my credit card account ending in XXXX, they did not conduct the proper investigation. Instead of investigating fraudulent charges on my account, as I reported to them in XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/2019, by telephone, they investigated that my card ( ending in XXXX ) was opened in my name fraudulently ( see letter from them attached to this report ). I reported to Capital One in XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/2019, by telephone ( on a recorded call ), detailing each charge/date/and amount that were fraudulent. I never told them that the card was opened in my name fraudulently. Capital One has all the charges/dates/and amounts that I provided to them, on a recorded call. Also, in writing, on their Identity Fraud Information Form ( that they sent to me and was confused of why I was receiving a fraud identity form ), I hand wrote on the form that, " no one sought credit in my name, but that my accounts were used fraudulently '' ( see attached form that was faxed to XXXX/the fax number they provided to me ). I tried reaching XXXX several times to follow-up on the form to ask him why I was sent that form, but he was never available. Also on that form, I checked the box that I did not authorize anyone to use credit in my name, and next to each line, I wrote that these items pertained " according to my disputed charges '' - which also should have let them know that I spoke of charges and not a card being opened in my name ( see form attached that was sent ). Capital One should also know that I did not report that my account ending in XXXX was opened fraudulently because I had been paying my bill monthly, for over 3 years and up until XX/XX/2019. They can check their records. For over a month, I had been trying to follow-up with my investigator named XXXX to receive an update on the investigation ; however, my phone calls went unanswered, or I was told that he was not available and no other representative would provide me with the progress. If I had been provided an update on the investigation, I could have informed him that he was conducting an incorrect investigation. I would like for Capital One to conduct the correct investigation of fraudulent charges on my card ending in XXXX that I reported to them, on a recorded line, in XXXX/XXXX, in which I listed each charge/date/and amount.

Complaint: Capital One Venture One Visa Card. I have all of my credit cards set up for automatic monthly payments through my XXXX XXXX account. Somehow, Capital One attached a Capital One checking account that I have not used in a couple of years for my automatic payment, even though I entered the XXXX XXXX information. On XX/XX/2019 the withdrawal was denied because there were insufficient funds. I did not receive a notice from the Capital One Visa card or the Capital One bank. On XX/XX/2019, they attempted the withdrawal again. I found out via a phone call at the end of XXXX that the card payment was over 30 days past due. I promptly set up the correct account over the phone and asked if the late fee could be reversed since I was never notified. I also asked that it be cleared on my credit report. I was told it was over 30 days past due. In XX/XX/2019, I sent a letter to all three credit bureaus asking that this item be investigated, as it was an error on Capital One 's end - I never attached that Capital One bank account for automatic payments. All three bureaus reported the issue was investigated and nothing changed on my credit report. As a result, my credit score has plummeted from XXXX to XXXX then went back up to the mid 600s, where it remains now. Two of my creditors closed my accounts immediately. Four of them reduced my available credit immediately. One raised my interest rate. This has resulted in further dropping my score as my percentage of used credit has increased. Capital One then changed my minimum amount due from {$53.00} per month the {$270.00} per month. In XXXX, I wrote a letter to Capital One asking that this item be corrected. There has been no response. Now I am receiving invitations from Capital One to take out an auto loan. It is as though they have destroyed my credit for their benefit. I have not had a late payment in the past 7 years. I would like to have this item removed from my credit history. Please help in any way you can. Thank you.

CAPITOL ONE data breach is the reason why these people are harassing me. I have called them and last time verified all my information and still they said it wasnt me and would not allow me to speak about anything on the account, were very rude toned etc toward me. Complaint: I and my Husband had a fraudulent loan with Capital one for a car ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) that was sold to me as a lemon. The car had a previous warranty due to a recall that was not disclosed unto me A couple of years later the vehicle became disable due to a bad transmission that was part of the manufactured warranty that dealer did not inform me of.The car was repossessed and a balance of XXXX was remaining ( unbelievable ). I received a correspondence from XXXX ( collection Agency ) and they offered me a settlement of XXXX dollars to close the account, however Capital one is reporting on my credit a different balance and is not reporting this agreement. My credit is suffering tremendously. As Capital have been reporting that I have been late I have reached out to them several time and also the credit bureaus to remove this erroneous information but have not received a resolution. I feel that I should not be liable foe this balance as this was a fraudulent loan that had pre existing conditions that I was unaware of

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I realized someone was making fraudulent charges with my credit card information. All charges were local XXXX no more than an hour and half from me ) and I still had the card in my possession. I immediately called Capital One and made them aware of the issue. There were 4 fraudulent charges made on my card. 1 of them was a Cash Advance at XXXX for {$2400.00}. This also incurred a {$72.00} processing fee. The other 3 were at XXXX 's XXXX for a total of {$3800.00}. The representative told me he would mark all charges as fraud and send me a new card. On XX/XX/XXXX I noticed that the Cash Advance was marked fraudulent but the others were not. I called in again that morning and had a representative tell me she would mark the other charges as fraudulent. I asked her about the {$72.00} charge and she said she would have to transfer me to another department. Once I was transferred, I explained the whole situation again and the representative told me they would not be refunding me for any of the charges because they were not fraudulent. Again, I explained to her that it was not me I was at work the day the Cash Advance happened ( a 50 minute drive from my office ) and was at home with my husband and friends the day the other charges occurred. She all but called me a liar and said it had to have been me because it was chip reader transaction and it was impossible that it was anyone else because the card was in my possession. She told me it would be on me to prove my innocence and suggested I call XXXX to get the proof - otherwise they couldn't help me and I would be responsible for the charges. I have never had an experience like this with Capital One. I have {$0.00} fraud liability as I was told numerous times, yet now I'm being accused of making these fraudulent charges, called a liar, and told I have to prove my innocence. That day I filed a police report and called around to the locations where fraud was committed. XXXX was shocked to hear that I was told I have to handle the investigation and encouraged me to call back because that was absurd. Over the next couple of days Capital One made an absolute mess of my card charging me and then crediting me back over and over again and charging me twice for the {$72.00} processing fee. I called Capital One back on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to a new representative. I asked her about all the charging and crediting back to my card and went through my story again. She told me she showed that all transactions were marked fraudulent and still under investigation. She explained the {$72.00} fee could not be credited back until they concluded their investigation and apologized for the other representative 's behavior. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from Capital One stating they concluded their investigation and determined the Cash Advance charge was not fraudulent and that I would be responsible for paying it on my next bill. I again waited a few days and decided to call Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX. I ran through the events again with the new representative and she then alerted me to the fact that a replacement card was called in on XX/XX/XXXX and sent to my house. I never called in a replacement card and was never notified ( by email or phone ) that a new card was headed my way. Sure enough I pulled up video camera footage and have proof that someone stole the mail from my house which contained the Capital One replacement card. The representative I spoke to on XX/XX/XXXX made note of this and said she would remark the charges as fraud. I am exhausted and tired of doing Capital One 's job for them. It has been 11 days of back and forth with no real answers as to what Capital One will do got remedy this situation. I am very frustrated that it took talking to 5 employees before being notified a replacement card was sent out. I am even more frustrated that Capital One does not have a better system in place to notify/confirm people 's identities and alert them of things like this. Calling the customer on the phone number they have on file to notify them when a replacement card is being sent out, sending an email to the email on file to notify someone, or even putting an alert on the account ( mobile and online ) that a replacement card has been sent out could prevent things like this happening. It should not be on the customer to investigate the fraudulent charges for Capital One.
