Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX Capital one sent me the following email " XXXX, Were closing your Savor account ending in XXXX because your purchase activity has not been consistent with our expectations of how consumer accounts are used. Your account will be closed on or after XX/XX/2019. If you have a rewards balance at that time, it will be issued to you in the form of a check or a statement credit. '' The email stated that my account will be closed XX/XX/XXXX and that all my rewards up until that date will be credited to me. Capital one LIED in this email. My account was not closed on XX/XX/XXXX capital one decided to close my account XX/XX/XXXX so there email to me was a total LIE. Furthermore I had {$35.00} in completed cashback and {$130.00} in pending cashback on XX/XX/XXXX when Capital One decided to close my account 30 days before the date there email said they would be closing my account. I am owed {$170.00} in cashback rewards. Please send me my {$170.00} in cashback I am owed immediately ASAP or I will be taking this matter to the courts. Furthermore Capital one advertises this credit card as " Earn unlimited 4 % cash back on dining and entertainment '' but its not really unlimited. There advertising is false. If you purchase to many items in there " unlimited '' category they will close your account. This is false advertising.

Complaint: I requestsed and got a pre-approval for an auto loan from Captial One. I found a car at XXXX XXXX XXXX and went to purchase the car. I Gave them the approval letter and they told me they had to run my credit again and I gave them approval. Unknown to me, they ran my credit multiple times with multiple lenders. I already had my loan approved and they used capital one as the lender and I never gave approval to pull my credit multiple times since I was already pre-approved.

Complaint: I secured a debt consolidation loan in XX/XX/2019 to pay off old credit card bills. One of the credit cards was Capital One Quick Silver. The statement balance was approximately {$300.00} remaining to be paid ; however, prior to the consolidation loan, I paid {$50.00} directly to Capital One. The debt consolidator printed a check for {$300.00} based on the balance on my credit report. I mailed the payment to Capital One and that generated a credit to be returned for approximately {$49.00} ( {$49.00} to be exact ). I contacted Capital One and they assured me a refund check would be mailed to me within 90 days. I called them in XX/XX/XXXX because I had not received the check only to realize they had an old billing address. I updated my mailing address and was told they would cancel the issued check and reissue. It would take another 15 days to receive it. XX/XX/XXXX, I still had not received the check. I verified they had the correct address and I received the same response, " We'll cancel and reissue a refund check. You'll receive it within 15 days. '' Again, XX/XX/XXXX. I received the same response. Each time I've contacted them I verified my correct mailing address. However, this time, the representative said they had the incorrect address on file. And once again, after explaining that I will be filing a complaint against Capital One, her response was, " I've canceled the check and we'll reissue it. You'll receive it within 15 days. ''

Complaint: I cancelled an auto charge from a separate company to my credit card through Capital One, which at the time had a XXXX balance, in XXXX XXXX, but it hit my credit card account anyway in XX/XX/XXXX. I left for XXXX XXXX bootcamp and was gone for training throughout the delinquency reported on my credit reports, so no way to access the information or resolve. I found the charge and called the company to request assistance resolving the issue ; was told there was nothing they could do. They aren't giving me a chance to even try to resolve this issue though I had no way to do anything previously due to military orders. I'm requesting the adverse information reported be removed and my excellent credit score restored.

Complaint: Hello and thanks for your great service wish I knew all that early I would contacted you. I could not find any other option available to send my message so I chose this option, sorry. I lost my two Capital one accounts due to job loss inability to keep up with growing late fees interest etc. I had informed spoken to numerous account managers etc. About the time I called in my accounts were closed some 5 days earlier. To prose a payment plan XXXX per month on wax account was agreed by account manager back in early XX/XX/2019. I had explained to her I did not want to lose my accounts and hoped I could pay down the debt starting in XXXX. I requested her to send me a letter within new agreement she'd agreed I could pay the cards down and also agreed to lower the balance regarding the late fees etc. I was happy I had accomplished something here. But by the time XXXX came the letter she'd said she would send never arrived I was never contacted in writing or otherwise. I had an open relationship they in the past were open to talk and any other related my issues with work and any other issues. I was completely ignored it seemed. I don't want to get overly personal but dromedary I had revealed to them with work and other things Believe they could of handled this in a better way instead of lying and ignoring me. After we agreed to work on this account patient agreement. I don't know what you can do but I have more info and I was only acting to hopeful repair the accounts and debt with someone who identified her self XXXX the agent for Capitol One. Complaint: I have several businesses that have taken me into a deep XXXX. I started working on my credit last XX/XX/XXXX and have gotten my record pretty accurate. I got my first credit card in XX/XX/XXXX and it was in good standing up till XX/XX/XXXX when capital one decides to close the account at no real logical explanation. XX/XX/XXXX I opened a XXXX bank account and during our business relationship we had some major communication issues and XXXX belittled me up until XX/XX/XXXX when I was notified they no longer want to do business with me! Both accounts were somehow involved with a XXXX fraud account that had applied these two to the fraudulent accounts and was debiting tedious amounts that took some months to notice. I contacted XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX to advise them of the fraud accounts and XXXX alleged to investigate the events and take action. I made several calls up to date and the accounts still reflect in my name. I dont understand why Im being done like this. I call and made complaints with all of them and have documented proof. I was part of the XXXX data breach and possibly the capital one yet they do not care that this is not my fault. I can not get a bank account because allegedly Im in XXXX XXXX but the report I got from said XXXX XXXX does not reflect much that renders that decision. Im so terribly confused at the turn of events and the level of treatment I have received. I just learned I was also part of the XXXX data breach from XXXX and was never notified. I have been on top of my credit and these listed accounts and they have dismissed me with no explanation that could help me fix the issue or offer up logical explanation. I have written cfpb and called FTC filed a identity theft report and offered it when necessary. Hand in hand these financial agencies have black listed me and shamed my name for what seems to me what is called a risk factor that I had nothing to do with. They all claim to have fraud prevention liability ect. Im a victim of that Fraud they speak of and they show no sympathy even if possibly at fault. I can not get a credit card for the life of me. I have been postponed starting college do to all this stress and confusion. The literature I have read in these regards is mind blowing conspiracy type incidents. XXXXupful explains they hold the rights to do what is listed above. What happen to our rights that clearly hold no purpose when exercised? Trust? Act? Privacy? The rights to be heard? The right to know whats being used against me on file? In the USA we call it the land of the free and our constitutional rights are implemented to help us remember! Why and to whom? This is all so pathetic and I truly believe this is rigged to keep poverty where we come from wow how rude!

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I applied for a new Capital One Venture Credit Card that offered a 0 % balance transfer offer. When I received the card I tried to transfer a balance to the new credit card and was told by the representative that the card I received did not have the 0 % balance transfer offer and a balance transfer would have 20 % interest. I then asked for it to be corrected. The representative told me that they could not correct it. I then told them that I would be reporting this fraudulent offer to Consumer Protection Agency and asked to close the account.

Complaint: XX/XX/2019 To whom it may concern, I would like to file a complaint regarding Capital One. I called Capital One this XX/XX/2019 to have my ex-wife removed from an account she is a co-applicant. Back in XXXX I was exploring debt relief options and this was my reason for requesting her name be removed. Note she never used this account. I was told no problem by Capital One and they would remove her name. I also, asked my account be closed. Unfortunately, I failed to get documentation from Capital One she was removed from the account. Please NOTE I would never had closed this account without her name not being removed. I know enough that once an account is closed you definitely can not request a name to be removed. My ex-wife messaged me the week of XX/XX/XXXX that her credit report showed late payment from Capital One. I was totally surprised and caught off guard because I thought her name had been removed. I began process of filing for XXXX XXXX Bankruptcy in early XXXX. I called Capital One twice and explained the situation. I was told whoever I spoke with back in XXXX mis-spoke. Again my fault for not having requested this documentation. I explained to Capital One I could email our Consent Order from our divorce spelling out I was solely responsible for this account. I pointed out that her credit was being affected it should not be. This fell on deaf ears as Capital One did not even want to see this Consent Order. I had been a loyal paying customer for over 15 years to Capital One. I am certain they made plenty of money off interest charges. Its just upsetting I was led to believe the ex-wifes name was removed only to find out I was lied to. How I wish we could play back our conversation as I know they record every call. I am hopeful someone from Capital One has compassion and a kind heart to recognize our situation and to correct this situation. I dont agree with my ex-wife on just about everything however, her credit should not take a hit given I was told Capital One would remove her name off the account. Sincerely,

And the company have fail to comply under U.S.C 1681S-2 } ( A ) ( 3 ) Duty to provide notice of dispute in the completeness or accuracy of any information furnished by any person to any consumer reporting agency is disputed to such person by a consumer. Capital One are required by federal law to place notice of dispute on my account within 30 days of my dispute which they have signed for on XX/XX/2019. I have retained a copy of Capital One signature and date of receipt as well as a time stamped copy of my credit reports showing that they have violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act. By not placing the disclosure within the required 30 day period.
