Complaint: Re : XX/XX/XXXX & TODAY, XX/XX/XXXX TWO DATES, TWO COUNTS : The contract fraud and the invasion of privacy : Without prior consent and agreement Capital One modified the normal method I gain access to the account and now requires me to waive my right to privacy through an intrusive message prompt instructing me to call them at XXXX if I need help.
They offer three options but block the option I choose to use.
Capital One can not show any agreement between us where I consent to communicate with them by telephone or text.
To do so waives a right to privacy when the connection begins with their use of an automated voice device that introduces the caller to the system guide that will confirm the waiver with each step. Next an audio message discloses the callers ' voice will be recorded during the call and lastly location identification of the caller is collected & stored.
The blocks are abusive and negligent, and violate my rights under the ADA.
They must correct their error and the pattern of negligent, intrusive and interference with my financial duties & responsibilities.

Trouble closing card
Complaint: my complaints are against XXXX capital one and credit one. they have refused to accept any type of payment because i tried out of my bank account which was registered with these companies and they will take payments from my account that are legitimate but then send the check back which cost me more money the take the money out a week late sending me into overdraft but then when you call them they say they don't even know if you have a bank account. then they call repeatedly saying that you are not making payments. plus my cards have been for about 3 years and i reported it as soon as i noticed them missing and was given the response of what business is it of ours because you owe us. and then they refused to close my account. now 4 years after they started reporting to the credit bureaus that i owe them XXXX when its on my reports that i owe them only XXXX but they want the money up front. this prevents me from getting a job because they constantly call and harass me. then when i call them to complain i get the response that its no concern of theirs. then they start putting negative reports on my credit report and putting me under collections. they always wait until after they cost me a job before they start with the calls and bills, but they leave me alone when i do have a job. so i am filing this report because i have tried to call them and report my cards missing, i have also tried filing reports but have been ignored. also when i try for a credit card im denied because of these claims. i also had XXXX visa and master cards that were stolen about 6 years ago the same day i was pushed in front of and struck by a train. these cards were being used the whole time i was on deaths door stop. i had reported this to the credit bureaus once i was able to. i want all these negative and fraudulent reports off my credit report and my credit restored. this is the first time i am writing to you because i am getting sick of not being able to find or keep a job due to harassing constant calls about money i don't owe and then to have my credit score negatively affected due to the fraudulent reports also im tired of almost being hit by cars and losing my life to this XXXX as well as being denied housing and other credit cards i have applied for and have been denied due to nonpayment of debts that i am not even aware of. also capital one and credit one say that after every 6 on time payments they increase the credit limit but for me they stopped after the third payment because they started callig all my payment methods fraud and claiming that they did not know if i even had a bank account the very same issue has arisen with finger hut and i want this stopped and corrected.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed there were 3 capital one accounts reporting on my credit report. 2 of them were accurate, and one of them did not belong to me. I mailed a letter to all 3 credit bureaus alerting them of the inaccurate account. I also stated in the letter that the other 2 accounts were accurate. By the end of XXXX I noticed the inaccurate capital one account was removed and so was one of my accurate accounts leaving only one capital one account reporting to all 3 bureaus. I called XXXX first to alert them of their mistake and they informed me that i needed to contact capital one in regards to this matter. I called capital one to inform them of the mistake and they stated that i should contact the credit bureaus. The Capital One representative also stated that they would be reporting after the XXXX of the month and i should give them a call back if i did not see the account on my report by the middle of XXXX. I didn't think much of it since my account was still open and i was still able to use my card. I logged into my online credit card account today, XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX and i was not able to view my personal credit card account information, however my business credit card information was available. I contacted Capital one around XXXX and the customer service representative informed me that my credit card account was closed do to fraudulence. There was no manager available for me to speak to about this incident. I have had this credit card open and in good standing for 2 years now and it is being closed in error due to the credit bureaus reporting fraud on the wrong account.

Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Complaint: on XX/XX/2018 Capital One denied myself, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for a credit limit increase. Previously on XX/XX/2018, and XX/XX/2018, the credit limit was increased. My usage with the card is the same as previous months prior to the credit limit increase approvals in the past, Yet Capital One is stating otherwise. This is a clear violation of the ECOA. FDIC Compliance per fair lending practices section IV 1.1 states " A lender may not refuse to extend credit or use different standards in determining whether to extend credit. '' This is discriminatory and unethical according to fair lending practices.

Complaint: Kohls doubled my monthly minimum on an account that has remained with a relatively consistent balance without explanation. Ending with my XX/XX/XXXX bill, the minimum payment had been around {$43.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, I owed for both XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and paid {$120.00} through the XXXX. At that time the XXXX indicated I was due for {$80.00}, even though my XX/XX/XXXX payment was due on the first. I paid the {$120.00} believing it would cover XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. The minimum payment moved from {$43.00} in XX/XX/XXXX to {$80.00} in XX/XX/XXXX, to {$82.00} in XX/XX/XXXX, and again in XX/XX/XXXX. I called Kohls to inquire about the increase in my minimum due to try to receive an explanation. Instead, I was told I was not entitled to it and left on hold for over 15.
During my first call I was told that it was because myXX/XX/XXXX payment was a day late. In reviewing my account information, I demonstrated to the agent that there were late pays in the past which did not result in an increase in the monthly balance. We next reviewed how the account balance would affect the minimum, and agreed that my balance had not increased. She could not figure out why the minimum doubled and attempted to get me to a Supervisor, after XXXX minutes of hold music, I was transferred to a voicemail box.
On my second call in, I was told the same thing about XXXX payment, and proceeded to correct the agent, I asked the agent several to provide me the numerical factors by which a minimum payment it is calculated. I was told it was on the statement. When I asked to review the statement the agent could not tell me where on the statement this information could be found. Ultimately, it was explained that I am not entitled to the information that comprises how my monthly payments are calculated. He stated, it is based on numerous factors none of which can be numerically disclosed.

Complaint: XX/XX/2019 I was applying to get a beginner credit card with the soul intention to start building my credit from Capital one, it was a recommended card to start building credit by raising my credit score and opening another line of credit. I was unapproved and they put a hard inquiry on my score which dropped it by 17 points on XX/XX/2019 within minutes. I feel this is not goodwill or business model. Fraudulent loan
Complaint: I Bought a car from XXXX cars located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX PA. The business has since closed and I'm on the hook for a loan on a car that can not be registered and titled. I have reached out to CapitalOne, the county Clerk, the civil court deptXXXX, filed a complaint with XXXX and consumer affairs. I am recently out of bankruptcy and and was horribly taken advantage of. I am stuck paying for a car that I can not drive and can not afford to get another car without this one affecting my credit. Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I called capital one to let them know I wont be able to make my full Payment if there is a program to help out customer 's in that situation. They transferred me to a accountant specialist. After talking to her and telling her about how they are so quick to charge a high late fee even of your 1 day late. The lady said that they have no power to waive off the late fee, but can work on a payment plan.
