Complaint: I have a credit line with XXXX. I was out of town and missed the payment. I called and explained to customer service about the late payment and they told me they would take it off my credit report for good customer justification. This drop my credit score about 92 points. I had never been late before and this hurt my score in a major way. Can you please help? I filed a dispute and the results said that they will remove it, but it is still shows on my report. Sincerely, Need help.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2019, I was contacted by a representative of capital one advising me that they were closing my account due to the recent check deposit on XXXX XXXX was not honored. I contacted them last Monday that I needed it to say open to receive my SOC security. I was told the account would stay open. Since my deposit of {$770.00} has gone into the account, the funds are being held unlawfully, and need to be released immediately. I have XXXX XXXX and XXXX, XXXX XXXX and I need to move into an apartment RIGHT AWAY! I have bills - phone, storage, pets, children, and need my money am entitled to right now! I contacted them 3x Friday, and could not speak with anyone as they told me it was with the fraud security. Complaint: In XXXX, South Carolina on credit card XXXX Capital One Platinum MasterCard Security card for {$200.00}, while in Identity Theft my {$200.00} limit was allowed to purchase {$420.00} of services and I closed my account in or around XX/XX/XXXX. Without my permission they used my {$200.00} security deposit to apply towards my balance rather than return my security deposit to me. They have repeatedly up to date as currently as XX/XX/XXXX refused to remove any late payments that were under dispute and just keep sending letters or phone calls to delay the process They have also refused to send any receipts toward the charges applied to my account, but only will allow me to order statement copies.

Complaint: I received a late charge from my Capital One credit card which had a XXXX balance at the time. A charge was made by XXXX XXXX XXXX to my Capital One card that was NOT authorized. The XXXX XXXX XXXX account was frozen at the time and should not have been charged to my Capital One account. The charge went through and since the Credit Card was at a XXXX balance before I was unaware that there was now a balance. I got no notification from capital one that there was a late payment due to this charge from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Once i figured out that there was a balance on the card that is now 30 days late. I immediately paid the balance which was only about XXXX dollars and let Capital One know what happened. Capital One refused to reverse any negative report they reported to the credit bureaus. After years of having 100 % on time payments I now have this one late payment that has tremendously impacted my credit. This is wrong and needs to be corrected. I never authorized the charge that ended up putting my account late. Please remove this from all credit bureaus. Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I called Capital One to dispute 2 credit cards that I found on my credit report. I have never opened nor authorized anyone to open a credit card under my SS number for Capital One. It took Capital One over 15 days to get back to me and at that time the supervisor told me that there are 3 cards under my name. Account ending in # XXXX, Account ending in # XXXX, & Account number ending # XXXX. I did file a complaint regarding this with Consmer Protection. A supervisor called me from the Executive office on XX/XX/XXXX to discuss the account. She stated that they find the accounts valid because the cards and the statements were mailed to my place of business. I stressed to her that there are over 500 offices in my building and whom received the cards. The address that they sent the cards too do not even have my business suite number on the accounts. I have attached a copy of my Illinois Cyber Drive Detailed Report with my correct address on it. They do not have this address on file. They are missing the suite number. This is why I stressed to her numerous times that I did not receive the cards. I also asked her if the charges on the account were reviewed and she said no. She also stated that there were payments being made to the Capital One accounts from 2 checking accounts that do not even belong to me. One was a bank named XXXX and the other was XXXX XXXX. I have never had a checking account with either of the banks listed. They are accepting payments from a fraudulent bank account to pay for the charges ( that does not belong to me ). I asked for proof that these accounts belonged to me and they will not send me any information. I have provided them with a police report that all of my information was stolen and that I am a victim of identity theft.

Complaint: To whom this may concern, XX/XX/2015 I cosigned for a car loan for my mother. She had the car for over a year and could not keep up with the car payments and therefore returned the car back to the dealership. This car loan is continually showing up on my credit report as ( closed ) but It is also showing up every month as if we are missing payments and it appears as if the loan amount continues to go up. My problem is that this should no longer show up on my credit report and needs to be removed as the car has been voluntarily returned to the dealership and we owe nothing as of this day. This is continuing to hurt my credit scores payment history and derogatory marks section and I need this to be removed as this situation has already been taken care of. Also, the issue I am having with XXXX XXXX XXXX is the same issue. I voluntarily gave the car back and they continue to call me a ding my credit for a car I returned. Not only did the dealership receive my car but I signed a voluntary repossession form and gave it back to them. This should no longer report on my credit score as delinquent

Complaint: In response to a prior complaint re a bait and switch scheme advertised by Capital One, the company promised to reimburse {$100.00}. I received a letter asking for return of a completed XXXX form, but without any instructions as to where or how to return the completed form ( no mailing address, fax number, email, etc. in the letter ). I immediately returned the completed form to the mailing address from which the letter was originally sent. The completed form was mailed out on XX/XX/2018. Over six weeks has passed and I have still not received the promised reimbursement nor any further communications from Capital One ( despite including this same information in my feedback to its response to my original complaint over two weeks ago ).

Complaint: I am writing regarding a collection account dated XX/XX/XXXX ( capital one account ) being handled by XXXX XXXX. I have disputed this account since approximately XX/XX/XXXX without any documentation from XXXX XXXX concerning validation of this debt. After many attempts disputing with all 3 credit reporting agencies I decided to dispute this debt once again. My most recent dispute letter dated XX/XX/XXXX addressed to XXXX. I did receive a reply today XX/XX/XXXX received by email message XXXX XXXX ( credit monitoring service ) that this debt is being reported as " past due '' and no longer a collection account. This maliciousness has to stop by this company. In the past they have reaged this account on many occasions and have caused headaches and damage to my credit. During this time I was also a victim of identity theft. As a result I have received free service through the XXXX credit monitoring service for several years. According to FCRA, all debts have to validated in order to collect a debt. To date XXXX has not complied with the law and should be held accountable for deceiving actions. I would appreciate if CFPB could help me resolve this problem which I have tried to do myself with no success.

Complaint: I attempted to have Kohl 's pay my account in full every month by providing banking information. Either I entered part of the information incorrectly or there was a problem with the transmission. By the time I learned that the account was not on autopay evidently the account had become past due. I pay every credit card I possess in full every month through direct withdrawals. My accounts with Master/Visa/American Express typically have balances totaling $ XXXX each month and they are always paid in full ; the balance in the Kohl 's account that is reported delinquent was a little more than {$200.00}, an amount that is trivial. When I learned what happened, I paid Kohl 's in full but was so annoyed with the way this was handled, I closed the account! Because I made a concerted effort to correct my bank information and pay Kohl 's in full in a timely manner, reporting the account delinquent to the credit bureaus is completely misleading -- it is the only late account on my entire credit report, that has a XXXX-year history. I have called Kohl 's on at least two occasions and asked them to remedy this but they have not. My credit score dropped approximately 100 points because of this issue. Kohl 's needs to do the responsible thing and delete their report to the credit agencies that I paid late. They are acting in a fashion that is reckless and irresponsible.
