Complaint: There was a recent dispute over fraud activity made on XX/XX/2019 about a hard pull. Capital One and I have had few conversations about it. Recently I went to consumer Financial Protection Bureau and capital one called me back on XX/XX/19 to remove the hard inquiry since it was fraud and not authorized by me. The problem was they said my date of birth did not match what I put on cfpb so I had to resubmit. I wanted to get this all straightened out with them as soon as possible with capital one and the credit companies so everything is accurate. Thank you.

Complaint: I was in a wreck in XXXX of 2016. The car I had through Capitol One Auto Finance was totaled out by the insurance company XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2016 At the time I had full coverage through the company and gap insurance as well. Well the company settled XXXX leaving a balance of XXXX. Gap insurance sent over 2 checks XXXX and also XXXX. The total balance of the car owed XXXX. This left the account paid in full. Then 2-3 months later the XXXX XXXX XXXX started reaching out stating that I owe XXXX XXXX Ive been disputing with them for the last 4 years. They arent able to tell me exactly why XXXX is owed on the account when they originally gave the numbers to the insurance company of what was due. Now that Im paying close attention to my credit Ive been asking them to fixed the account they have refused to do so. Hopefully Im able to get some assistance this way. Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I placed an online order with Neiman Marcus ( NM ) ; 1 pair of shoes order no. XXXX, totaling {$220.00}. On XX/XX/2019, I called Neiman Marcus in regards to returning the shoes in return NM provided me with a smart label via email, in which I used to returned that item which resulted with a XXXX balance as everything was returned within the same billing period.
I requested that NM cease and desist communication with me, the unwanted numerous phone calls, the badgering voice messages, in relation to this and all other alleged debts NM claim I owe. NM company provided me with a returned shipping label on the day of, XX/XX/2019, I went to the United States Postal Services to returned the item utilizing tracking number XXXX.
On XX/XX/2019, I called NM and spoke with representative, XXXX. I explained to the XXXX that Ive called the week prior explaining everything I stated during XX/XX/XXXX telephone call ( i.e. all items were returned ). XXXX stated all late fees would be removed and stated he was sending information to the credit bureau. Again, I was asked if I could make a payment, in return I asked why did I need to make a payment when every that I order was returned. Once again, I repeated myself informing XXXX that all items were indeed returned.This item NM is inaccurate because this account should not be listed as 1-3 times late, 60 days or more late as Ive never once was late making a payment on this account. As I do not owe anything for this account since my balance is XXXX.
Therefore I am requesting that Neiman Marcus negative item be removed to correct the information ; XXXX Balance.

Complaint: I had unauthorized debits made when my card was stolen I made a police report and talked to capital one 360 and they gave me XXXX dollars for a pay they didn't even make the payment but debit me and they got my balance at - {$620.00} on my personal account and now they never gave the XXXX $ back to my joint account witch is for me and my wife please help me out! I just would like my money back I been loyal to capital one 360 for 2 years straight I'm very disappointed.

Complaint: I have had capital as one of my first credit card and it was a great experience, one thing i was doing is trying to automate all my credit card payments to make sure no human error was involved but as a result I had some payments go missing and as result of paperless billing I was never able to notice about 3-4 months later.
If you look at my report as soon As i found out I was behind on payments I made sure It was taken care of right away and as a result becoming a paid account.
so all in all the automation process I was executing in my life at a very young age created issues as far as 120 days late which was a very bad mistake but once I knew the capital card received the money.

Complaint: My Quick Silver Capital one Credit Card Account that I have had for almost 2 years was closed by capital one and adversely affected my credit score.
The account has never had a late payment and has been paid off in full multiple times throughout the time I had it.
I recently had to switch bank accounts and the account I added to pay the bill had sufficient money in the account and I have no idea why the payment was returned. Capital one said there was insufficient funds which is not true.
I contacted the bank and they said they never had any kind of electronic payment go through but the account information that I gave Capital One was correct.
I do not feel my account in good standing should have been shut down and credit history ruined because of a returned check that was to a correct account number and that had the funds to make good on the payment.
1-2 returned payment in a year does not erase a lot more payments that were good and on time. Please reverse this closing to my account that has been paid on frequently with correct bank accounts.
I will include bank statements from the bank account number that was added to the account and verify that the accounts were good and in good standing.

Complaint: I have had a Cabelas credit card for approximately 40 years. Recently, it switched from a Visa card to a Capital One Mastercard. Everything was Ok until today- XX/XX/XXXX.
I charge at least {$50000.00} to {$75000.00} per year on this one credit card. I only have one credit card that I use for both my business and my personal life. I pay my bill off every month. I have a credit score somewhere around 800. I am a responsible consumer and always pay my bills on time.
Today, I tried to rent an RV online for a trip over the XXXX XXXX XXXX. The website would not take my payment via my Capital One Cabelas Mastercard. I tried to pay several times but kept receiving a note that there was a problem accepting my payment. The total amount I was trying to charge was approximately {$1500.00}.
When I checked my phone, I had a text from Capital One asking if I tried to make the {$1500.00} purchase. I responded yes and was messaged that everything would be fine with my card. When I checked my email, I had a similar question regarding the attempted {$1500.00} purchase. I once again informed Capital One that the attempted charge was valid and was informed that I could continue to use my card. Unfortunately, I could not use my card.
I called Capital One, waited on hold for a long time, and was eventually told that I would need to respond to an email they were going to send me and forward documents to reactivate my card. I told the operator that this was unacceptable and asked to speak with a supervisor. I waited on hold for approximately 30 more minutes only to be told that I would need to forward copies of my drivers license, my social security card, and proof of residency. I told her that this was unacceptable. I wanted my card reactivated immediately. She told me she could not do so because there was a major fraud alert on my card. When I asked to talk to her supervisor, I was told that this person would call once per day for several days to try and talk to me and I should not expect a call for at least 24 hours. No call has been received.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I emailed the documents requested by Capital One to the secure fraud email account. I sent pdfs of both sides of my drivers license, my social security card, and a power bill to show proof of residency. Having heard nothing by this XX/XX/XXXX, I called Capitol One. I talked to two operators, one of who said she was an account manager. This person told me that they could not verify the information that I had sent, that my account was permanently closed, and if I wanted a Capital One credit card that I would need to reapply for a new card. She could not or would not explain why they could not verify my information. She told me they had ways of verifying information and that I had somehow failed. When I asked her how I could send anything else or send them verifiable information, she said I could not-the account would be permanently closed and I would lose all of the Cabelas points I had accumulated on the card. I pointed out that they could compare my date of birth and social security number with the information they have on file for me. I pointed out that I was on the phone telling them the information I sent was valid. None of this mattered to her-the account was permanently closed and could not be reactivated.
I spent another 30 minutes on hold while she claimed she was checking a few more things out. She never came back and I hung up out of frustration. I suspect she put me on hold to just aggravate me and had no intention of coming back on the line.
This has all occurred because I tried to rent a recreational vehicle with a Cabelas card. It should not be shocking to anyone that someone who has had a Cabelas card for as long as I have would use that card to rent a recreational vehicle to go camping.
I understand security measures. I am a former XXXX XXXX XXXX and spent over 20 years of my life as a XXXX and XXXX XXXX. Once I answered all of the operators questions ( SSN, DOB, Etc. ) and answered a text and an email from Capital One, my card should have been reactivated.
The current balance of the account shows that I am entitled to a credit of approximately {$100.00}. In addition, Capital One has canceled all of the Cabela 's points I had accumulated from using this credit card. Because the account remains closed, I have no ability to seek return of the credit balance or utilize the rewarded Cabela 's points.
