Complaint: Happened XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX and lasted for 28 minutes. Company name is XXXX XXXX They have my name as XXXX XXXX. I was called today with a message that I needed to call a number back because a civil claim was filed against me. I was at work but called the number right away. A woman answered and stated they have a claim against me for a debt I owe in the amount of {$2900.00} from Capital One. I asked her what the debt was. She proceeds to tell me. I asked her when the last activity on this account was and she tells me XX/XX/XXXX but was sent to collections in XXXX. I tell her you are past the statue of limitations on this and Im not paying. She tells me statue of limitations starts when the account gets turned over to collections. I told her she was wrong. I asked her to please send me something in writing for this account. She states they already did and tells me my address. I stated I did not receive it and please send another. She states she can not do this. The file is being sent for legal action and there is nothing they can do about it. If its not settled today they will garnish 25 % of my wages and my bank account. I tell her that I will call her back because I would like to call my attorney about this and find out about the statue of limitations. She tells me that if I hang up the phone they will proceed with legal actions. I then asked her why this is not on my credit report since Ive been checking it regularly and working on improving my credit. She gives me some song and dance about it transferring collection agencies. I tell her Im not paying anything on this today without verification of the account and without speaking to an attorney. She then transfers me to someone else saying they might have other options for me. A man gets on the phone and pretty much tells me the same thing. He then goes over my options for payment which included a one time payment, a 2,4,6, and 8 month plan. I tell him Im not paying it. Not without talking to someone and verification. I told him I would call back tomorrow after I did research. He states the debt is attached to my name, date of birth, and ssn number and legal action will go through I said fine go ahead and I will just show up for my court date and appeal this. He tells me that they dont need to have a court proceeding and a judge has already signed off on it. This is when I knew it was a complete scam. I told him fine go ahead and proceed with it. He hung up.

There is a Kohls/Capital OnXXXX account # XXXX that has incurred in fraud charges.I did not authorize or benefit from any of these fraudulent charges. I tried to fix this with the company by sending letters with FTC attached but they did not do anything about it. My credit score is being affected because of this, Please help me to fix this.

Complaint: RE : Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX for {$10000.00} ; XXXX XXXX XXXX I have tried to resolve this credit transaction with the appropriate credit card company. My attempts to get the matter directed to the appropriate Customer Service or Legal Affairs Department have been ignored. I have supplied all appropriate documentation showing that XXXX XXXX was a Fraudulent XXXX Marketing Scam. To date the credit card company has not communicated with me other than a canned response letter referring me back to the collection agency. Nor will they send my request to a higher department dealing with Fraudulent Merchant transactions. The information below is a full and complete summary of the entire XXXX XXXX Scam of which the above complaint deals with only one of the six individual transactions which comprise the entire sum of XXXX XXXX purchases. FTC CASE : XXXX I was introduced to XXXX XXXX and their XXXX marketing and coaching program, when I attended a free introductory seminar at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. As a result of attending their introductory seminar, the following training courses and lifetime coaching was purchased as detailed below. The Advanced Training Course charged at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX for {$10000.00}. During the ensuing months of XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, the training diminished significantly and their business coaching program was non-existent. Rather than a training program on how to establish, operate, or improve my business model commensurate of a business coaching program ; it instead morphed into a sales pitch for purchasing additional XXXX XXXX products, and services. Whenever they were requested to provide a syllabus or an outline of the next lesson plan, they were unable to give me one. This made me question their viability and business ethics. Upon researching my concerns regarding XXXX XXXX, I discovered the credit card companies considered XXXX XXXX, XXXX to be a high-risk merchant and conversely withheld approximately 30 % of my payments in reserve in case of fraud. It was then I discovered the FTC filed legal action against XXXX XXXX, XXXX and communication between XXXX XXXX, XXXX became non-existent. Upon reading FTC legal documents which state that the parties involved were required to turn over the names of all customers so the FTC or its agents could notify them. This included all customers using merchant service accounts. I never received notification of any type. In attempting to recover funds paid to XXXX XXXX, XXXX for lifetime coaching and training, I contacted all the above financial institutions via registered mail and have supplied them with information regarding the fraud, FTC legal actions, and court documents, but to date there are no reversal or chargebacks of any fraudulent charges. In fact, these financial institutions do not want to communicate with me as a victim of fraud. Some have referred my accounts to collection agencies which can not clear my credit file nor reverse these charges as they claim only the primary financial institutions can reverse charges or correct credit file information detailing fraud.

Complaint: In XXXX my husband and I financed a boat, motor and trailer with XXXX XXXX. XXXX was then taken over by Capital One and our payments were then made to them. The loan was paid off in approx XXXX and since my husband died I went to sell the boat, motor and trailer and was told by Texas Parks and Wildlife that Capital One still had a lien on it. I have gone to the local branch in XXXX, Texas in person, faxed the information to the lien department at XXXX and then has spoken to 7 different people at Capital One and still can not get the lien released. I am being told that they no longer have any record of the loan and therefore can not release the lien. I sent them the registration from Texas Parks and Wildlife showing the liens and they tell me that they have to go by their records. I am unable to sell the boat, motor and trailer without the lien release.

Complaint: XX/XX/2019 I receive a negative mark against my credit for missed payments or XXXX. I know for a fact that I paid these payments, which were processed online. As you can see I have been a long time customer with who's always made timely payments. I was never notified by email or by phone to inform me that there was an issue with my account. I found out when I obtained a letter from capital one informing me of a missed payment in XXXX in which I took care of it immediately. I contacted Capital One and they were of no assistance. Basically told me it, is what it is. I wasn't happy with that approach and wasn't heard out. I was so upset that I mailed out a letter to the company on XX/XX/19 and I have heard nothing from them since. I made a copy and will attach the letter I mailed to Capital One.

Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX am filing this complaint to speak to someone at Capital One in the Executive Officer level of doe to my Capital One account being close due to misrepresentation, misinformation. I was contacted by several different Representatives that gave me conflicting information towards the status and require/request information. I was call on or around XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX by a fraud rep I was told that I needed to send in a copy of my Authorized Users ID and SS cards on my account. I told the reps that it was not fraud and not a issue. I was under the impression I only needed to send in the current Authorized Users on my account. A few days later another rep told me I needed to upload proof of addresses for the Authorized Users. Then another time I needed to send in front and back of IDs for users that have been on my account from a few years ago than 25th I was told that I was Permanently Restricted from both my accounts. I wasnt told why or what else I needed to do. I was dial transferred to rep after rep and never give enough time or proper information to provide the needed documents to release my account. I was very confused as to what was needed and I sent in the wrong information do to human error on the two separate account the account in question was not the right account that I sent in the Authorized Users ID and SS for. I was give 18 names to provide information for on my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX this account is what names I was give. I have another account that is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX this was the account that was in question and what I uploaded was Authorized Users that were not on this account there was a ton of misinformation and my account never was resolved and I was not allowed to remedy the issues.

We use Capital One 360 since XX/XX/XXXX, and had a credit rating of XXXX at the time of the call. After multiple questions from the agent in XXXX, we were denied the offer. We complained at once. When we asked if this was a scam, the call was disconnected. A call to Capital One 360 got a response of " different subsidiary and not them. '' We are concerned about fraud and unscrupulous practice by Capital One. OnXX/XX/XXXX, our rating wa reduced to XXXX. The agency issuing it says it was reduced by 4 points. Since it was XXXX, the deception continues.

One representative provided the statements that I needed via fax. When calling back yesterday to obtain a few more statements the representative, XXXX EID # XXXX in MN, would not provide them to me. She said that while the statements are there, she would violate a Capital One policy of providing them to me. I asked to speak to her manager, and she denied the request. Complaint: i am not making complaint against capital one.i made a dispute against XXXX where i bought something XXXX and on XXXX decided since there was no parking lot at the hair salon which i did not find out until after the 3 days of the refund policy passed. i must add their refund policy is not clearly discernible on their site. at the time of purchase. tehy refuse to refund my money on card ending XXXX of XXXX dollars.they stand by their 3 day return policy i know once they send you their policy you will rebill me but the fact i did not know the policy it was not clear or represented on purchase page and the merchant did not reveal there were only parking meters until after 3 days passed is important. i want and demand a refund from them. i will never use them again.

Complaint: Two years ago I wrote a letter into the company asking for a good will to remove late payment on my account for XXXX in 2017. The company has not replied to my letter and this is having an adverse impact on my credit score. It was an unfortunate time when it happened during the back to back passing of my aunt and father ; Ive sent them evidence of their passing to prove my unfortunate circumstance. I was their primary care giver and prior to that and after up until this date Ive maintained immaculate payment record with the company.
