Complaint: I opened a Khols store credit card around XX/XX/XXXX and I was making payments on time every month. Around XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX my purse was stolen and all my identifying documents were in my purse along with credit cards. The card got maxed out in a matter of days. I contacted them to make them aware which they were suppose to report the card stolen and all charges credited back but that never happened. Now the account is in collections and I am expected to pay.

Complaint: Capital One Credit card bill due the XXXX or XXXX of each for the past 2 years. Logged into account billing date changed to the XXXX.No notice, no update given. Contacted Capital One, and spoke to extremely rude, unprofessional XXXX based lut of XXXX XXXX, NV id number XXXX who spoke fast and condescending. Refused to slow down and repeat and was admint that there were no disclosures nor terms they had to disclose. XXXX continued to state that we updated our policies and those dates for a billing cycle are no longer available. I asked her for those policies and she refused. XXXX then quoted me 1-2 billing cycles to change date again. Was never informed about the changes and I stay up to date and active with my Capital One account. This is a huge impact to all consumers and credit as this can be a late payment impacting my score.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: I have been receiving a call from debt collection department from the capital one and everytime I called back to the number that goes to the capital one customer service, they confirmed that I had no card which was past due, and the call must be a scam. Today I happened to answer the call, lady told me that she was speaking from capital one and my card was past due and she needed my debit card number or checking card account number to take care of this payment. This was a surprise and I pulled up my online capital one account and none of my account information matched what she was talking about. She stated this account was opened back in 2015 and she agreed to transfer me over to fraud department. I was on hold on searching thru my cards in reserve in my night stand and I came across this GM card that was issued by Capital One, that I opened but decided to put it away when I wasnt able to use it through my capital one log in, although this was issued by capital one. She told me there were two XXXX charges went through this card in the month of XXXX and XXXX. For which I had no knowledge of. I nhad never received any email notification of or paper statement of. Neither those charges were authorized by me.
When I use my other cards, I get my legit charges declines until I respond to the text but this card that I havent used in five years something went thru n I didnt get any notification of.
The lady did go ahead and request my card to be replaced and stopped any further charges.
This matter was very serious to me, so I decided to call XXXX and further investigate on my own, XXXX wasnt able to find any transaction with this card number or any active account linked to this account.
I went online logged in to capital one and chatted with the capital one rep he asked me to call fraud department and ask them to dispute these transaction since they were not mine. I called and spoke with the lady name XXXX but she sounded like being in a hurry, she said ok, we will take care of it. Few minutes later she called me back and asked me to call back on Tuesday to the same fraud department and ask them to mark the transactions as fraud.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, I opened a credit card with Capital One. I never received any documentation in the mail, I paid {$100.00} on time and they charged me a late fee. Today XX/XX/XXXX, I spent roughly 30 minutes getting that " late fee waived '' I was not late on the payment. They are now keeping the {$25.00} for 3-5 days to post into account and it shows up as a missed payment.
It gets worse : XX/XX/XXXX CASH ADVANCE FEE OtherXXXX XXXX ... XXXX {$10.00} XX/XX/XXXX INTEREST CHARGE : CASH ADVANCES Interest ChargeXXXX XXXX ... XXXX {$0.00} I never used any cash advance or took cash out on the card. I paid a company {$53.00} and they are telling me the {$10.00} is from that. So they are stealing {$10.00} now with interest.
The supervisor I spoke with XXXX XXXX ( employee id ) refused to provide me with any information on how to file a written complaint. I signed up for this credit card to re-establish my credit. The way they are behaving is extremely predatory. I have a XXXX {$10.00} plus interest is a lot of money to me to just have stolen by a big credit card company.

Complaint: Capital One has continuously tried to collect debt that was a result of identity theft, when I was sick for 3 years and had a breach in my identity through XXXX. Also, while my account is under investigation, I have continuously made monthly payments on my accounts, in an amount proposed and approved by Capital One and still, on a weekly basis, they report incorrect negative remarks and amounts to my to the credit agencies ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) ; even while my account is under dispute with the CFPB. The amounts of my balances on my two credit cards with Capital One, ending in XXXX and XXXX, are incorrect and Capital One are reporting incorrect balance amounts. Also, Capital One placed one of my accounts, ending in XXXX, in collections, after they placed me on a payment plan, while I'm making payments, and after I reported the incorrect balances to the CFPB. Also, I can no longer view my account ending in XXXX, online nor in the app, and no staff/tech staff/nor supervisor can tell me why. I have been transferred to various departments and staff to have this problem rectified and to date, it still has not been rectified. I have been told that they do not know why ; however, this causes me not to be able to see updates to my account. Also, on XX/XX/XXXX, I reported Capital One to the CFPB regarding reporting incorrect balances they continuously report to the credit agencies and regarding the fraudulent charges, and it's been over 30 days and they have not responded in resolving the issue and it's been over 20 days since they last responded to the CFPB that they are still working on the issue. But, they continue to report negative remarks and incorrect balances on a weekly basis, which have affected my credit score by over 50 points. I would like for Capital One to report the correct/updated balances of my credit card accounts to the collection agencies, resolve the fraudulent charges, take my account ending in XXXX out of collections, and fix the issue of me not being able to view my account ending in XXXX online or withing the App.

Complaint: I recently lost my job and was struggling to find work, 3 creditors closed my credit cards because I had some monthly payments being reversed. Capital one ( 2 credit cards were closed with HIGH interest and late fees applied ) XXXX credit card and XX/XX/XXXX credit card as well. All 3 of those creditors closed my accounts and I am not sure why, my only guess can be the payment reversals from my bank ( XX/XX/XXXX ). XXXX is no longer my bank as I recently was a victim of a scam and fooled with a fake check. I have been undergoing extremely stressful and unfortunate situaitons and my credit score just last month ( XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX ) was in the 620s and it has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY for reasons I cant even understand.
