Complaint: I was enrolled in monthly payments of {$23.00} on m y Barclay credit card. I paid off my credit card ( a total of {$1400.00} ). My account was c losed. On XXXX XXXX , {$23.00} was withdrawn from my bank account by Barclay. I called customer service requesting my money back and to stop automatic payments since the card was closed and paid o ff ( Statement balance of {$0.00} ). They assured me that I would no longer be charg ed and sent a check in the mail with my {$23.00} back which I received a couple weeks later. On XXXX XXXX , {$23.00} was taken out of my account, that i was unaware of. On XXXX XXXX , another {$23.00} was withdrawn by Barclay card. On XXXX XXXX , I received a statement in the mail notifying me of payment for XXXX . Neither XXXX nor XXXX XXXX XXXX payment was authorized by me. I had to spend an extra {$30.00} through my bank to get a stop payment request, which over drafted my account, just so Barclay card will not be able to withdraw more money, however that only lasts for six months.

Complaint: Failure to alert me of suspicious activity and failure to provide consumer protection against online fraud. CC Company : Barclaycard, XXXX , DE Merchant : Tickets XXXX XXXX XXXX Date XXXX / XXXX / 2017 Amount : {$810.00} My credit card information was stolen online to purchase XXXX same day basketball game tickets. I filed a dispute after speaking to the merchant. Credit card company " investigated '' and found in favor of the merchant. Reason being the merchant said they sent the tickets electronically to a n e mail address with my name on it, therefore that meant I must be made the purchase. But that was NOT my e mail address. The theft who stole my information created an e mail address with my name in it so he could have the merchandise sent to him electronically. That is how online fraud operates!! Anyone could create e mail account using any name they choose!! Barclaycard told me they have now completed the investigation ; it is now up to me to negotiate with merchant. The merchant tells me to work it out with Barclaycard.

Complaint: In XXXX 2016 , I made a debt settlement with a company called XXXX . The original debt was just over {$1800.00}. The debt was settled for {$750.00} even. I had taken out a personal loan at my local credit union to pay for this debt. My credit union mailed out the check. I called Barclaycard a few weeks later to confirm they received the check. They did confirm the check was received and that my account has a balance of {$0.00} and is closed out. 3 months later, I receive mail from XXXX XXXX XXXX stating they are a debt collector and that I owe them just over {$1800.00}. I called to inquire about the debt, as I had my credit union completely pay off all my credit cards and should n't have anymore debt. XXXX XXXX XXXX stated they bought the debt from Barclaycard. After dozens of phone calls, neither company can help me. Barclaycard has hung up on me many times when asking how to handle this. XXXX XXXX XXXX does n't seem to have a single employee who can speak decent English, let alone understand what I 'm explaining to them or how to handle it.

Complaint: In XXXX XXXX I applied and was approved for a XXXX XXXX MasterCard Credit Card Account administered by Barclays Bank Delaware ( Barclaycard ). I was charged and paid a {$99.00} annual fee for the card and its benefits which include a 50 % savings on inflight purchases. Those savings are described in the Business Card Agreement as : " Cardmembers in good standing will qualify for a 50 % savings on eligible inflight purchases. Eligible purchases include the in flight purchase of cocktails, beer, wine, meals, and XXXX movies ( not XXXX ) on XXXX -operated flights when purchased on their Account. Savings do not apply to any other inflight purchases, such as wireless internet access, or duty free. This offer is available on eligible flights as long as supplies last. This savings will appear as an Account statement cred it 4-6 wee ks after the transaction is posted to the cardmember 's Account. '' [ sic ] My account is in good standing ( I do not carry a balance but instead pay my bill in full every month ). I made two qualifying onboard purchases with this card. Those purchases appear on the statement that closed on XXXX XXXX , XXXX , with the description " XXXX BUY ON BOARD. '' Those purchases were billed in full and no credit was provided. I paid the bill in full. More th an 6 weeks have passed since those transactions were posted to my account and I still have not received a statement credit. I have attempted to resolve this issue within the XXXX Business Card cu stomer service system on numerous occasions. I have called the number on the back of my card and sent many messages through the cardmember website. I have not received either a resolution or an explanation. The telephone customer service representatives are unable to explain why I have not received the statement credit, and the only response I receive to the online messages is to call the customer service representatives.

Complaint: On X/X/17 i received a notice from credit karma that my score had dropped XXXX points from information provided by Barclay bank. Considering that i had XXXX accounts in excellent standing which XXXX forced me to close because they had suddenly slashed my credit lines to make it look like i was maxxing out my cards which i was not, the way they have reported has caused massive damage to my scores. After i paid the balance in full on all accounts and closed them they then posted interested charges so it shows accounts closed and with balances.It also appears that they have not reported the accounts closed by my request, They are also reporting balances to XXXX that do not exist. I have repeatedly return calls from their office of the president to no avail. I have attached screen clips from information appearing on my report from credit karma as well as information clipped right off of the Barclay card website showing the contradictions. The excessive inquiries by Barclays h as also been clipped and submitted in a prior complaint. I have also contacted the House Banking Committee to report ho w Barclays has treated me and they requested complaints on record with CFPB. It is very disturbing that Barclays would launch an ass ault on my credit where i was an excellent customer with them.

Complaint: I have been a Credit Card customer of Barclay Bank for years, and recently, I had missed a payment because I did n't receive the statement. When I received an email AFTER the payment was late, I immediately logged online and paid the entire balance including the late fee. I called to ask for a waiver of the late fee as I did n't get a statement. And the bank refused citing that they had waived it once before which the reason again was because they did n't send me a statement at that time. I offered to remedy any future missing statements by setting up autopay but the rep was adamant about no fee waiver the 2nd time. I have been a customer for many years, and had never ever missed a payment except these 2 times. I asked for this fee waiver as a final time since setting up autopay will avoid any problems in the future. A manager did call me back but he called me on my WORK phone when I specifically asked to be contacted by cell phone, and I provided the cell number. I ca n't believe the manager left me a voicemail at work when I did not want my personal business to be left on my work number! They did n't respect people 's pr ivacy

Emailed o n XXXX XXXX , 2017 for a follow-up Called on XXXX XXXX , 2017, spo ke to a customer service rep ( XXXX ), asked her for the result. She was very condescending and said " i will have to wait for the results ''. I told her that you 've taken my money for over 40 days and I like to know where it 's at? If she was more helpful and assured me that they will take care of it I would not worry. But now I am worry that my case is not being handled with some urgency to credit my account accordingly.

Complaint: In XXXX , I made a room reservation at a XXXX XXXX . A credit card offer popped up with a visual depiction of a {$50.00} discount if i opened their credit card ( Barclay ). I figur ed ... sure, i 'll save {$50.00} on the room. The visual credit card statement showed my room rate {$200.00} - {$50.00} credit for opening card = price of room {$150.00}. I then proceeded to accept the card offer and make my reservation. The gentlemen at the hotel said the {$50.00} would come off the credit card bill, not the reservation. I received the bill with no discount. Come to find out, you had to spend {$2000.00} to get that {$50.00} discount. I inquired with Barclay on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX and provided them with a screen shot reflecting the $ XXXX = {$150.00} deal. I received confirmation that Barclay received my documentation. They are now saying its going to be another 7-10 day s for a response. As of today, it 's been 20 days of me jumping through hoops. During tha t 7-10 day window, my Barclay bill will be due. I 've repeated asked them for an expedited response because i do not want to be hit with interest or late fees waiting for resolution ... however, they never address that concern of mine. I 'm at my wits end dealing with Barclay.

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: On about XXXX XXXX i had my XXXX XXXX account switched to my business checking for auto pay and XXXX dollars over the min payment and then I get notified on the XXXX of XXXX that im 2 months behind they have record of me switching it but evidently messed up and put auto pay for XXXX XXXX then told me they could not do any thing to reverse what had XXXX reported to credit agency so this has ruined my 8 years of 100 percent payment history and dropped my score now my other credit cards have lowered my limit by thousands inaffect raising credit utilization lowering score more and raising interest and payment I have worked really hard at hav ing 100 percent history and never make min payment for 8 years for this to happen over XXXX XXXX t mistake is not rite and for other cards to lower limit raising utilization is even worst I hope someone can help me thanks XXXX
