Complaint: My Bank of America Visa credit card has this policy regarding interest payments : " PAYING INTEREST - We will not charge interest on Purchases on the next statement if you pay the New Balance Total in full by the Payment Due Date, and you had paid in full by the previous Payment Due Date. We will begin charging interest on Balance Transfers and Cash Advances on the transaction date. '' I paid off my balance in full last month and see that this month I was charged a " minimum interest charge '' XX/XX/XXXX MINIMUM INTEREST CHARGE XXXX What??!! Since when do I have to pay interest when my balance at the beginning of the statement period was XXXX? I called the bank and was told that it is their policy to charge interest on a zero balance if in the previous statement there was an unpaid balance on the card. But, of course, I was charged interest on that unpaid balance THEN so effectively I am being charged interest twice, which looks like theft to me.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX : Initiated a {$1500.00} XXXX transfer from sender 's Bank of America ( BofA ) account to recipient 's XXXX account ( confirmation attached ) -Recipient received email shortly from XXXX stating funds would arrive momentarily ( attached ).
-XX/XX/XXXX : Funds were processed and withdrawn from sender 's BofA account ( confirmation attached ), Recipient claims to not have received the funds -XX/XX/XXXX : Sender opened a claim through BofA to track funds that never arrived to recipient 's intended account.
-XX/XX/XXXX : Sender sent a test {$1.00} to recipient which was received instantly XXXX XXXX : BofA informed sender that claim had been resolved and closed with the resolution ( letter attached ) that XXXX had found the funds were successfully to intended recipient 's account. This misinformation was provided by XXXX, but should have been confirmed by BofA.
Sender and recipient have been several phone calls during this process to track the funds. Conference calls between XXXX, sender, and recipient have been made with no luck finding the funds in question. Sender has now re-opened the claim and request to be sent to an escalation department because of misinformation from both BofA and XXXX claiming the funds have been found. When calling XXXX claims department, no funds were found in the amount of {$1500.00}

Complaint: I had reestablish a realtionship with Bank of America I had two checking and a saving I always made sure my accounts were balance of started working for realtor name XXXX XXXX as a transaction coordinator and the clients would pay through XXXX because I did not want to give out my account information. all transactions were put on hold for two weeks or more to make sure they cleared beg anything I did not do anything wrong the funds were released to me shortly after funds were released my account was closed telling me it was internal decision it was wrong I called they could not tel me what i did wrong i waited for a letter no letter explaining all I was told that the bank can close my account if they want too but I did nothing wrong the fraud department held every deposit for two weeks or more investigated and release them to me I did nothing wrong and my account is closed totally un fair no justice

Complaint: Sometime last week, I'm not positive about dates due to the fact I have zero access to my own account, someone attempted to deposit a counterfeit check in the amount of {$500.00}. The bank returned the check and then closed my account. I have been speaking with them since last Thursday XX/XX/XXXX, about needing my funds immediately, as a single mother of XXXX young children my money is very important to us. I was told by the first person I spoke to that she would put in an expedited claim to release funds to me and that she would have an answer in 24 to 48 hours. I called back the next day and was given 3 separate timelines on when my money would be " sent back to me. '' One gentleman even spoke to a supervisor asking that there be a credit given to allow me to have some sort of funds available to me immediately given I have XXXX young kids who rely on me, the supervisor denied the request. I called back first thing this morning, since they were closed during the weekend, for them to tell me that there has been no expedited claim filed for my account and it will take an additional 3 days to be able to access my money. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm being treated like a criminal over something I didn't do to a bank I've been banking with since XX/XX/XXXX, 10 years of loyal service to be treated like a criminal and have my money basically stolen from me. I am supposed to be paid this Friday again, and I can't even go open another account at another bank because I have XXXX money to do so.

Complaint: On XX/XX/17 there was a Counter Credit Deposit of {$8500.00} and on XX/XX/17 a Counter Credit Deposit of {$1800.00} that were not requested or authorized by myself but by my father XXXX XXXX without my permission .On XX/XX/17 There was a withdrawal of {$100.00} at BOA ATM in Washington DC , on XX/XX/17 Return Item Charge back of {$8500.00} and another ATM withdrawal of {$1000.00} at a BOA ATM in XXXX XXXX , MD, all of which I was not present for. During the time of these events I was a on campus student at XXXX XXXX XXXX but on my Bank of America acct I used my mother and fathers home address. I left personal info such as mail and birth certificate and social security at my fathers address because I did not deem it responsible to keep at a campus where other people would have access to my locker. At some point my debit card was left home when I visited for a weekend and My father utilized my personal information in order to have money sent to my account, one of which was a fraudulent check of {$8500.00} which caused my bank account to be closed. There has been fraud placed upon my name for actions I did not partake in and it now hinders me from applying for most credit.

Complaint: I have been trying to dispute a charge on my credit report and it seems as if Bank of America dont want to help me. I was suppose to go on a cruise with my mom and we were not able to go because she got a new job. So I was not able to go on the cruise, I previously dispute the charge with the cruise line and they didnt want to help either. I also would like to negotiate my credit card debt with them and they are discriminating against me because I closed my credit cards with them. Complaint: In mid XX/XX/2019, I discovered my credit card had been compromised when there were many charges I did not recognize and many duplicate charges I did authorize. I called and disputed these transactions totaling less than $ XXXX with Bank of America. XX/XX/2019, just three business days after filing the disputes, I had many " fraud dispute reversals '' for what I disputed, but more significantly a dispute reversal in the amount of {$6500.00}. I visited my local branch to no avail and called customer service about 10 times trying to find out what this was for and how I could have it removed because clearly it was a clerical error of some kind. Everyone I spoke to at Bank of America said the same thing- " We can not connect you with the team that investigates fraud, they will contact you IF they need to but there is Nothing You can do. You just have to pay it. '' This charge stayed on my card through for two weeks causing loss of sleep and panic attacks. The charge mysteriously fell off and all that remained was the other " fraud dispute reversals '' which still alarmed me but did not surprise me with how Bank of America was handling everything else. Then XX/XX/2019 I received yet Another reversal totaling {$2300.00} which again does not reflect the total amount disputed considering the many other reversals. I have gone to two Bank of America branches and called customer service and fraud on many occasions for everyone to say the same thing : " There is nothing you can do and no one can explain where it came from, you just have to pay it. '' This is absurd!!! These " fraud dispute investigators '' clearly have no interest in researching any of the fraud or they would see it is indeed fraud. They are taking complete advantage of me and probably many other people that have no idea how to handle a situation like this! Even BOA Employees have told me to file this complaint, thank the lord I found CFPB on XXXX!

Problem during payment process
Complaint: XX/XX/2019 called Bank of America the automated system to make a payment, I have XXXX and sometimes its the easiest way for me. I spoke that I wanted to pay XXXX which is more than required. It asked if I wanted to pay XXXX, I said yes and it thanked me for paying XXXX. I called back immediately and was told that they could not stop the payment and to call back the next day and they would refund me, and they had some problems with their system. I called and was told to call back Monday, I explained I had XXXX and had bills to pay and that I needed it pit back. They said they were sorry and to call back I called back Monday and was told the same thing. As of today I have been charged XXXX from my bank for a bill not covered. I am not able to pay my Insurance as I need the money they took. I have been a good customer for years, yet they charge me a yearly fee and a high interest rate so I am never able to finish paying. I have XXXX boys, one in college and my husband has been out of work she we may end up losing everything.

Complaint: There is a card reporting on my XXXX credit report for Bank Of America in the amount of {$9300.00}. I have NEVER applied for a Bank of America Card. I've told Bank Of America, XXXX and now the Credit Collection Company that this is NOT my card. I was a victim of Identity Theft. This is still showing up on my credit report and NO ONE has reached out to me to resolve this issue. I have sent over 10 letters to both Bank Of America, XXXX and the Credit Collection Agency XXXX XXXX XXXX. This needs to be removed IMMEDIATELY from my credit report. I am a senior citizen and hardly speak any English. Every time I have to call or dispute something I have to have a neighbor help me. This is against the FTC rules to report incorrect information on someones credit.
