Complaint: Mortgage payment was returned for NSF. When contacted Mortgage company to pay over the phone I was advised not to pay it. I was told the payment would go through a second time automatically. Contacted the Mortgage company a few weeks later to discuss the payment again. Was then told the Payment would not be pulled automatically and that I needed to pay it. Money was in the account waiting to be paid. The mortgage company reported a 30 day late to the credit bureau. It should have never happened. It was completely the Mortgage companies fault..

Complaint: My mortgage loan was transferred to Amerihome Mortgage LLC ( loan servicer ) immediately after closing with XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2018. The first payment check for {$2600.00} dated XX/XX/XXXX18 was mailed to the above servicing company on XX/XX/XXXX18. The check was debited in my checking accounting with XXXX Bank on XX/XX/XXXX.18. On XX/XX/XXXX18, I viewed my mortgage account with Amerihome online and found that no payment had been credited to my loan account. I communicated ( attached " Communication XX/XX/XXXX '' ) with the loan servicer on XX/XX/XXXX18 and provided the copy of paid check ( see attached file " cashed check '' ). I was told that my complaint has been sent to Cash Dept. for research and I will be informed within 3 business days. However, I did not get any response. I communicated ( attached " Communication XX/XX/XXXX '' ) with the loan servicer once again on XXXX18 and was again informed that they have not heard from Research Dept. and will inform me once they get the information. No information was received and I contacted the loan servicer again on XX/XX/XXXX18 ( attached " communication XX/XX/XXXX ' ) but no results of research were available. I requested for signing of affidavit for non-receipt of cashed check required by my Bank to claim the payment from paying Bank and sent the affidavit for signature on XX/XX/XXXX ( attached " Affidavit XX/XX/XXXX '' ). Till date I have not heard anything from the loan servicer. The signed affidavit is need by my Bank immediately to claim the payment from the paying bank.

Complaint: They never responded to my emails, they are still charging me PMI even though I have LTV of 44 %. They have no customer service!! The " service '' is absolutely unacceptable. Quite possibly the worst service I have ever experienced. I have received different answers from every representative I have spoken with, after being on the phone for over 30 minutes of course, with no progress towards my problem ( on multiple occasions ). The need to have to constantly call back for the same problems over and over again because of internal mistakes and incompetence is at a level the likes of which I have never experienced in another business. In other words, there is clearly no training, no quality assurance, and absolutely nothing being done about the horrendous service. Judging by the other reviews, multitude of complaints, and my over one year of painful experience with this company, I would say it is a chronic issue with little to no improvement. To say I am displeased with my loan having been sold to this company for service is an extreme understatement. Would not recommend and wish we could move to another company. Have worked with quite a few mortgage companies over the years and never had trouble like this.

We initially took out a mortgage with them over a year ago with no escrow account. We would like to file a complaint before considering legal action.

Complaint: My mortgage was unfortunately sold to Amerihome, and I can not wait to be able to refinance somewhere else. Last year I fell 1 month behind on payments while on maternity leave. I was sending in payments as I was able, about once a week, not realizing this would throw my payments off. After many calls back and forth to them ( the specific name I believe was XXXX, though spelling may be off ) I was able to catch up, and this was verified by them, as well. Then the next month, a payment was lost it misapplied. After getting multiple proofs of payments that I did, indeed, pay them, they credited my account. Then all of a sudden they tell me Im still a month behind! Apparently they say they accidentally credited my account twice, none of which is obvious to me on their awful website, and that essentially Im responsible for their mistake. Ive sent in so much paperwork with proof of payments from my credit union, and even an XXXX spreadsheet on all of the payments I made. Its hard to talk with anyone on the phone because it always ends up in around an hour phone call. XXXX just stopped calling me back and eventually became quite rude to me. So now Im accruing late fees, and the late payments are affecting my credit score. So over this company and their predatory practices.

Complaint: Amerihome acknowledged they had received the remaining documents for loss mitigation on XX/XX/2018. I called back on XX/XX/2018 and customer service representative looked through every document that had been faxed and verified that everything that was requested was there. She stated that she would send a email to let the correct parties and let them know that I had faxed everything that i had been requested. I called back XX/XX/2018 to get a update and to let them know I had a foreclosure hearing the next day. I was told they have 5 days to go over the paperwork that I was submitted and that it was nothing else I could do. I told them someone had gone through every document on XX/XX/2018 and the CSR just repeated there was nothing else I can do. I was also told by the customer service representative that the hearing was not to set a sell date just to check the status of the loan and just to let them know I was in the process of loss mitigation. I had a attorney represent me at the hearing with paperwork stating that I am pursuing loss mitigation and the lawyers for the mortgage company stated that they had not received any information from the mortgage company stating that I was trying to keep the home. A sell date was set for XX/XX/2018. I contacted Amerihome the following day and was told that they could no longer communicate with me because of my representation at the hearing. The customer service representative informed me the only way they would communicate would be if I sent a letter stating that I don't have any type of legal representation signed and dated. I explaned that the lawyer only represented me at the hearing and he said that doesn't matter. As of today XX/XX/2018 they will not communicate with me and I have no status of loss mitigation.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX my mortgage with AmeriHome mortgage was placed into emergency forbearance after hurricane Irma. Forbearance started XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Amerihome mortgage XX/XX/XXXX after receiving a billing statement that shower passed due account, was told that my account was in forbearance and to ignore any past due statements. I asked how I would repay at the end of the forbearance and was told when the forbearance ended I would be contacted to discuss my options for repayment/modification of the disaster forbearance. XX/XX/XXXX when I had not been contacted to arrange for modification of my loan, I again contact Amerihome mortgage to discuss repayment/modification. They asked if I had damage to my house as a result of hurricane Irma, which I did. They offered to extent my forbearance to allow me the funding to make additional needed repairs to my home. The forbearance was extended through XX/XX/XXXX. I asked how I would repay the forbearance, I was told when my forbearance period ended I would be contacted to arrange repayment/modification of the forbearance. XX/XX/XXXX I began contacting Amerihome mortgage to discuss repayment options, so I would be prepared for my repayment plan. I was told they could not discuss repayment/modification with me until the forbearance period has ended. XX/XX/XXXX I called AmeriHome mortgage to discussed modification/repayment options, I was told I could 1 ) repay is full 2 ) pay 50 % now and then the remainder over 6 moths or 3 ) apply for modification. I choose to apply for a modification. I was told documentation would be sent to me to complete and I would be contacted to set up an inspection of my home repairs. I was told not to make a payment at this time, as I was currently applying for disaster modification. XX/XX/XXXX after not receiving any paperwork or call from inspector, I called Amerihome mortgage and was told the modification was still in process and I would be contacted, not to make a payment at this time. I received a voice message from the inspector XX/XX/XXXX, and attempted to call back to no avail. XX/XX/XXXX after not receiving paperwork or being able to get in contact with the inspector, I again contact AmeriHome mortgage as was told I had been denied for disaster modification, as of XX/XX/XXXX. I was given 2 options 1 ) pay now in full or 2 ) pay 1/2 now and the remainder over the next 6 months. I was told either option was available and would not negatively affect my credit score. I choose to pay 1/2 on XX/XX/XXXX, {$7000.00} payment was made on this date. I was informed my mortgage payment for the next 6 months would be {$3300.00}. I was told to ignore further notices related to late payment status/foreclosure. Confirmation # was given XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX upon receiving my mortgage statement stating I owed {$10000.00} I called AmeriHome mortgage to clarify. I was told that my modification payment ( {$7000.00} ) was reported as a late payment and then my disaster modification had been processed incorrectly, my home was in foreclosure proceedings. She assured me it was an error on their part and they would correct the problem. She told me if I had the money to pay off the entire disaster forbearance, it would be easier to correct the problem and no negative credit reporting would occur. At this time I paid the forbearance in full ( {$7000.00} ) I spoke to XXXX XXXX. I then received a new XX/XX/XXXX billing statement for {$2000.00} ( my mortgage payment of {$1900.00} plus a {$54.00} late fee ). I called AmeriHome mortgage to incur about the late fee, I was told it would be removed from my account and not to pay the late fee, as I did not have any late payments. The late fee was properly removed from my account. I made my XX/XX/XXXX payment without incident. XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice that a long-standing credit card account has been closed secondary to negative credit reporting. I logged in to check my credit report to see that my mortgage payment for XX/XX/XXXX was marked 120-149 days late. I again contacted AmeriHome mortgage, I was told this was an error, they would put in a request for the error to be corrected, but this would take 30 days to show on my credit report. My credit was updated on XX/XX/XXXX, and still showed my XX/XX/XXXX payment as 129-140 days overdue. When I contacted AmeriHome mortgage again they stated my request to fix the negative credit reporting was denied because I was in fact 120-149 days late on my XX/XX/XXXX payment. I explained the disaster forbearance was in effect until XX/XX/XXXX, then I was in the process of a modification, when the modification was denied paid 1/2 of my forbearance balance as requested on XX/XX/XXXX, then when told my disaster modification was incorrectly process and that I should pay the entire forbearance if possible I did on XX/XX/XXXX. AmeriHome mortgage stated that because I did not make a payment from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX my loan was considered late for that entire period of time. I requested to dispute this, due to the fact that the loan was in forbearance not late. I was that informed I would need to dispute via the credit bureau. I filed a dispute to all three credit bureaus : XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. I was notified by XXXX XX/XX/XXXX my dispute have been updated ; the update now shows my XX/XX/XXXX payment status as 180 days past due. I attempted to re-dispute with XXXX, but was denied. Since this erroneous negative credit reporting I have had 3 accounts closed, and 3 accounts will limits lowered. My credit score has significantly dropped due to severely delinquent payment status and high ratio of debt to available credit ( secondary to closed cards and lower limits ).

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, my wife and I purchased our 1st home in XXXX XXXX, California. This was my very first mortgage and being a United States XXXX XXXX Veteran of XXXX and XXXX rated with a XXXX XXXX XXXX due to XXXX XXXX, I was told about the Tax Exemption for Veterans in California who are XXXX. I requested this document from California after I submitted all my paperwork stating that I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and in return I was given a certificate which was to be given to my loan servicer, Amerihome. I had no knowledge of how this exemption worked, except that, exemption means you pay nothing. I believe Amerihome was under the same impression because after I sent them my certificate, they no longer collected taxes from my mortgage. At the time it seemed like a blessing until the winter of XX/XX/XXXX and into spring XX/XX/XXXX when the state of California was demanding their payment for taxes. In the spring of XX/XX/XXXX, I reached out to Amerihome to see if there were any programs or anything they could do to help me in this situation so that I didn't have to skip a mortgage payment ( s ) in order to pay a tax bill that was XXXX. No help or advice was given so my wife and I decided to skip a month mortgage in XX/XX/XXXX to pay down the Tax bill. At the sometime, I just graduated my XXXX degree from XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and unexpectedly lost XXXX a month that was supposed to be extended an extra 2 months while looking for work from the Chapter XXXX Vocational Rehabilitation program offered by the VA. However, VA did not explain that one must request for an additional two months of educational stipends, it is not automatically enrolled by the VA. That error in my calculations and life caused me great grief because Now my family and I are down XXXX a month and a XXXX tax bill. I was consistent with asking Amerihome what options did I have and was told by their monthly literature as well as customer service representatives that they had programs either to repay slowly or modify my current home loan. Then, when things could not get any worse, my grandmother whom raised me became very I'll with XXXX that required my assistance throughout XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, and all the way through XX/XX/XXXX as her primary care taker. I was able to make a payment or two over the summer in XX/XX/XXXX but me living in XXXX XXXX and XXXX in XXXX XXXX, I found myself taking multiple leave days away from my XXXX XXXX job and taking leave without pay for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I finally, at the end of XX/XX/XXXX and early XX/XX/XXXX applied for any programs that Amerihome had available that I would qualify for. Keep in mind, now I am the XXXX XXXX who now has his grandma in XXXX XXXX living in my house as my wife and I care for her XXXX. I am still working for the XXXX but frequently taking days off to care for my ailing grandmother. I sent in all my pay stubs, doctor notes, and everything else Amerihome asked for as they decided on if they could help with my past monies owed to them. In this malay, Amerihome paid my outstanding tax bill and now that is factored into what I owe them. After numerous files, papers, hardship letters, and other pertinent papers were faxed to Amerihome, they never called to ask for additional papers or questions but rather sent a letter stating that they needed another copy of a paper I had already sent. Finally, they denied my loss mitigation claim due to not enough evidence sent which was not true. I sent every form asked for and then some. Round two, I apply again and the same thing continues on their part. I never heard back from them and only to find out that they only communicate via mail in the loss mitigation department, customer service could never give me any insight into what was the matter. The second time they denied me to the same reason as the first, unsupported documents!?!!? Now, it is XX/XX/XXXX and customer service at Amerihome said they could not accept any payments unless it was the lump sum which now was Almost XXXX. I then take my last resource which was keep your home California. They were very communicatve and timely however, I was denied a loan modification through them because they said Amerihome did not want to work out a deal. Now, I am without a job because care taking for my grandmother forced me to resign in XX/XX/XXXX. I had to place her in a facility XX/XX/XXXX because I was afraid of foreclosure. I am now with money monthly. I have requested a 3rd loan modification with Amerihome and awaiting their decision however ; they have started the foreclosure process but no sale date. I never went without any monies throughout this last year, only lost more than what we planned due to family illness. I receive XXXX from my VA XXXX, XXXX from Social security XXXX and my wife receives XXXX for educational benefits through chapter XXXX from the VA. We make enough for a loan modification but we feel we have not been given any chance for this to happen. I still have every document faced from last summer and this could have easily been avoided by Amerihome but I feel we were not given a chance from the very beginning. Our situation was life, it wasn't due to us partying and blowing our money. We were forced to adjust to care for the ones who cared for us as children. I feel Amerihome did not take any of that into mind or even gave us alternatives or even a phone call. We just want a second chance to make things right now that we are back in the position to make more and more money. Please please help, California is horrifying to try and find suitable housing. I do want to accept blame as well in this matter, never have I should of expected automatic replies or calls to help me for a situation I found myself in. I take a well lesson learned and I believe if given another opportunity with XXXX 's mercy, my family and I shall repay our indebtedness. I also want to make this clear, Amerihome has been very pleasant and professional when on the phone and with allowing the mortgage get this car unpaid. However ; I am very dissatisfied with my multiple previous attempts with trying to find a solution with their loss mitigation section. I read their literature and listen to customer service continuously stating ; " we want to help, there are programs for you, We want you to stay in your home ''. It reminds me of when I was getting out of the XXXX and every corporation was all about hiring Veterans, true, but only as XXXX. I feel they never gave my multiple packages a look or chance and being told no payments unless it's the whole payment has put me deeper than I should have been. Thank you and Semper Fi!

Complaint: I submitted an application to Amerihome on XX/XX/2018 regarding assistance with the foreclosure on my home. I confirmed with the lender on XX/XX/2018 my application was received and they requested a hardship letter which I sent in. When calling Amerihome today, XX/XX/2018, I was told the documents are received however they can not postpone the trustee sale because the attorneys will not postpone it if documents are not received at least 14 days before the sale date. No one ever told me this information when I spoke with Amerihome and they told me to submit the documents which I did. Now, 2 days before my sale date I am told " too bad, too late ''. I called the trustee and they are telling me the sale is active and that the lender is the one who authorizes the postponement, so now I am being told different stories and even more stressed out. Amerihome has my application, they should be aware of the HBOR laws and postpone the foreclosure sale while I am in an active loan modification review. I have been been assigned a single point of contact and they have never reached out to me, which are violations of the HBOR set in place for homeowners like myself!

Complaint: Amerihome is showing my loan is missing a payment. When the loan first started with Amerihome, XX/XX/XXXX they sent me correspondence to show the start date was actually XXXX. Amerihome ( after several frustrating countless phone calls ) kept my 1st payment in a suspense account and later applied it to the XX/XX/XXXX payment. Months have gone by, no issue with the payment. Now 3 months later, Amerihome is stating I am behind a payment from the start date. Every time I speak to someone at the office I receive a different answer. No resolution. I do not want to be in default nor be reported to the credit agencies for being late. I am not late. Their records are incorrect. It has been nothing but issues since the start of servicing ( 4 months ). There are 5 " misapplication reversals '' ( see attached ) since the start of the loan. It is always promised that a supervisor will call me within 24 hours to follow up and that has never happened. I can not get a straight answer from anyone.

Complaint: My mortgage was sold to Amerihomes in XXXX of XXXX. My monthly mortgage payment due to Amerihomes is {$3000.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a payment of {$1500.00} to Amerihomes through my bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a second payment of {$1500.00} through my bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX. These payments totaled {$3000.00}. These payments left my bank account on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, respectively. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a telephone call from Amerihome stating that I had not made my XX/XX/XXXX mortgage payment. I told them I had, and provided the dates of payment. I was told that because I submitted two payments instead of one, my payments were not credited. I informed them that the payment was not returned to my bank. I was informed my bank had to send proof of payment to have the funds applied to my account. On XX/XX/XXXX I held a conference call with XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX in which XXXX XXXX XXXX provided the dates of the wire transfer. XXXX XXXX XXXX then sent proof of payment to Amerihome. When I spoke with a representative later in XXXX, I was then told that it is never that fast, but that I could expect a response within 10 days, or XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I continue to receive debt collection calls from Amerihome and the issue has not been resolved. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed by a customer service supervisor that if Amerihomes can not find the payment, they will report it to the credit reporting agencies, even though I submitted proof to them that they received the payment. Finally, when I attempt to pay my XX/XX/XXXX bill online, I am given no option but to pay {$6100.00}, which is double the mortgage I owe. I am extremely upset by this whole process. It is dishonest and rising to the level of harassment.

Complaint: I received my mortgage statement for XX/XX/XXXX with a payment amount of {$9800.00} and when I add up what the document says I owe it doesn't add up. 1. principal- XXXX 2. interest- XXXX 3. escrow- XXXX 4. other- XXXX regular monthly payment- XXXX total feels & charges since last statement- XXXX past unpaid amount- XXXX This adds up to {$8000.00} According to the statement I owe {$9800.00} I called to question the discrepancy and was informed by employee ID XXXX XXXX XXXX that she couldn't give me any information. Today I paid {$8700.00}. Where is the difference coming from? I also don't see an explanation for the fees totaling XXXX. This company doesn't answer my question but refers me to the bankruptcy attorney and they don't give an explanation. I really believe they aren't trying to assist me with keeping my home on any level. I need answer and cooperation with keeping my home through modification and forbearance.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I notified Amerihome that I have paid my homeowners Ins renewal for the year. Amerihome notified me that the loan type requires my homeowners insurance be paid thru escrow and that they would return a check to me in the amount of {$980.00} for the annual payment that I made since they would be paying the renewal. Over 7 calls, speaking with supervisors at Amerihome, only to be told a different answer each time when following up with the check. Supervisors have said it would be mailed out in 3 days, it would be overnighted, to no check was going to be issued. A supervisor is always scheduled to call and follow up per the request in 24 hours. I have not received 1 phone call. This is my first 2 months with this lending company and it has already been off to a horrible start. It is impossible to get any resolution. I am beyond frustrated after 7 attempts and no follow up from Amerihome as they said they would.

We receive multiple robocalls from AmeriHome with an automated message to call a phone number. I have called the phone number, worked my way through their system, talked with multiple people, and still the calls continue. I have emailed AmeriHome Mortgage and told them to remove our company phone numbers from their database but still the calls continue. We need these calls to stop.
