Complaint: I currently owe money to XXXX from private student loans. This debt has been disputed and I have filed a Defense to Repayment and the collector is not only calling me repeatedly but also calling my mother in law and my husbands grandmother ( whom neither of them signed anything for me, and one of them does not even speak English ). They have no right to constantly call my family looking for me when they have no ties to me financially. This is unacceptable and harassment.

Complaint: Allied Interstate collection agency in Ohio called about what they said is a debt I owe. I have no credit card collections or debts. They tried to tell me it was a debt from many years ago. This is n't my debt, if it were, that seems like unfair tactics to reopen a debt when a debtor has passed the statute of limitations on collection. By allowing creditors to continue to call and try to trick consumers into acknowledging a debt the law is not holding it 's promise as to being fair and having an actual statute of limitations. The Allied Interstate company contact me trying to get me to acknowledge a debt, which is clearly not owed by me, and is not my debt.

My last letter was from a collection agency called Allied Interstate.they gave me 30 days to pay them, but I do n't owe XXXX. I called collection agency he answered Hello. That was not how you answer the phone as a collector. He was XXXX I barely could understand him. He had my address and he said " is your address right ''? he said is that a yes.? I hung up the phone. The number I called that was on the letter was XXXX.
