Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Debt is not yours
Complaint: In late XXXX I noticed a debt collection on my credit report from AD ASTRA RECOVERY. When contacted to inquire about this unfamiliar account I was told it was for a payday in the state of Alabama. I have not lived in this state in nearly 10 years and assume this is an account opened that I did not authorize. I have been working diligently for the past 3 years to get this removed from my credit report as it is hindering my home buying process.

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: I sent in a payment in full amount and this creditor refused to take the payment. They have a debt collector who keeps calling me, I tell them yes I am that person and that I refuse to speak with them as I am dealing with the original creditor. One of the representatives told me if that were true he would not be calling my XXXX. My payment was sent back to me not by the original creditor but by the debt collection agency. I have been paying debts for 3 years off my credit. Not once have I been refused by the original agency a payment in full, or been constantly harassed by phone by a debt collection agency.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I noticed that you are reporting inaccurate data - such as : REPORTING AN ACCOUNT AS A COLLECTION ACCOUNT MULTIPLE MONTHS IN A ROW WHEN AN ACCOUNT CAN ONLY GO INTO COLLECTIONS ONE TIME. NOT 4 TO 24 MONTHS IN A ROW LIKE YOU ARE REPORTING IT!!! AND NOT AS A BRAND NEW COLLECTION EACH MONTH ... YOU HAVE REPORTED THESE ACCOUNT INACCURATELY LONG ENOUGH.. .REAGING OF AN ACCOUNT IS A MISREPRESENTAION OF MY CREDIT HISTOR-Y ... .. so DELETE THESE ACCOUNTS NOW!!!! PLEASE!!!!! I have fully researched my rights and found that the Fair Credit Reporting Act does not allow you to victimize innocent credit worthy people by reporting erroneous false information. Under the FCRA, the following applies to me 2011 Louisiana Laws Civil Code CC 3494 Actions subject to a three-year prescription Universal Citation : LA Civ Code 3494 SECTION 2. THREE YEAR PRESCRIPTION Art. 3494. Actions subject to a three-year prescription The following actions are subject to a liberative prescription of three years : ( 1 ) An action for the recovery of compensation for services rendered, including payment of salaries, wages, commissions, tuition fees, professional fees, fees and emoluments of public officials, freight, passage, money, lodging, and board ; ( 2 ) An action for arrearages of rent and annuities ; ( 3 ) An action on money lent ; ( 4 ) An action on an open account ; and ( 5 ) An action to recover underpayments or overpayments of royalties from the production of minerals, provided that nothing herein applies to any payments, rent, or royalties derived from state-owned properties. Acts 1986, No. 1031, 1. civil code sec. 2 art. 3494 Louisiana Also I would like to state you keep deleting accounts and then the creditors add them back to my credit and re age debts that are in fact 3 + years older and also none of the creditors are registered in the state of Louisiana. I have provided proof were accounts have been deleted and creditors are illegally adding accounts back as new accounts. I have also provided proof that you are reporting accounts open that have been charged off and in my state prescription which is only allowed there Years ... do whats right and delete these accounts as you are reporting false documents!!! The following accounts listed on my credit as follows Ad astra recovery services- over 5 years old debt not mines and was deleted because they couldnt validate and now back on experian and transunion . Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: I had an old payday loan that was sent to Ad Astra Recovery Service Inc for the amount of {$200.00}. I am trying to improve my credit score and willing to pay the debt but I want a letter stating they will stop reporting altogether the account to the collection agencies after they receive payment. The customer service rep said he could only give me a letter showing paid. I was told that it will show paid from the current date which means it will stay on my credit from the current date and not the date it went delinquent, even though it shows paid it does not help your credit score. He said they can only send me a standard letter. I will pay the debt once I receive a letter stating that they will stop reporting the account to the credit bureaus, so I can that completely removed from my credit report.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: I recently sent a letter to Ad Astra Recovery Services requesting they provide me with physical validation regarding all account history information Ad Astra conferred to any credit bureaus for me. This was a notice sent pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec.809 { b } that their claim is disputed and validation is requested. This was NOT a request for verification or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to the above named Title and Section. Yesterday I received a response letter in the mail from Ad Astra, saying that they " examined '' the account file with their " client '' and determined that the facts in reference to the debt are consistent with information provided by their " client ''. They then asked me to send THEM supporting documentation concerning the dispute, however did not provide any actual verification of validation. I contacted the credit bureaus today, who also confirmed that no validation of the debt was sent to them either. Since no validation was provided, I am requesting that all references to this account be deleted and completely removed from my credit report and a copy of such deletion { to any/all of the 3 major credit reporting bureaus : XXXX, XXXX and XXXX } request shall be sent to me immediately.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Payday loan debt

Debt is not yours
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received my credit report and to my surprise, I had AD ASTRA RECOVERY SERVICES listed attempting to collect a debt. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a certified letter to AD ASTRA RECOVERY SERVICES requesting the company prove I am the party who is by contract obligated to pay off this debt, which I have the right per 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 ( b ) of the FDCPA. AD ASTRA RECOVERY SERVICES did not validate the debt but indeed only sent a bill. If this account continues to report inaccurate and invalidates information to the three credit bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) this action might constitute fraud under both federal and state laws. My attorney and your legal staff will agree that non-compliance with this request could put your company in serious legal trouble with the FTC and other state or federal agencies.
