Complaint: American express business made an unauthorized hard inquiry on my personal credit report. Additionally, to add insult to injury they denied me credit based on fraudulent and libelous information by way of reports that have not been verified, validated, and/or are outdated. They also took access of my personal information and forward it to a third party company. Please instruct XXXXn to immediately removed all unverified reporting information and have Amex correct any and all decisions made based on those unlawful reports.

Complaint: On XXXX, American Express sent me a promotion over email : Special Offer for XXXX : ... Special Offer for XXXX points .... On XXXX, I clicked the invitation link inside that email, confirmed the promotion displayed on the application page : earn XXXX membership rewards points after you use your new card to make {$5000.00} in purchases in your first 3 months. Immediately after submission, I got approved on this Amex platinum card. On XXXX, I received my new card over mail ; I called to activate and confirm the promotion on my new card. I was told by customer representative that there is no such promotion on my new card even after I provided the RSVP code and POID sent by American Express directly to me. Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I applied for Amex platinum and got approved the application was done through the phone. Before we started the application i asked the customer service representative if doing it through the phone would affect the bonus points offer he said no that I would get those points regardless so I said okay proceed then. When I called on XX/XX/2019 and asked her details on my account come to find out the code for the bonus points is not there therefore they cant do anything, luckly I spoke to a nice lady I dont remember her name but she got me in touch with her superiors and final result they said the bonus points would be honored I was soo happy the representative said her superior would be monitoring my account and as soon as I spend those XXXX dollars within the 3 months I would be getting those points. Today XX/XX/2019 I call excited because I made the XXXX dollar purchase ( non refundable ) they tell me that they reviewed my account on XX/XX/2019 and they said Amex error this is the worst day of my life I want to cry I payed XXXX fee for a charge card that i dont never need I just wanted those bonus points I really hope amex honors what they advertised Im still hoping this is an Aprils fools kind of thing please somebody help me. These major companies are quick to XXXX us over but where are customers rights!! Amex take responsibility

Complaint: According to American Express, I enrolled in premium car rental protection online in 2014, which I don't believe I did. In years past charges of {$24.00} were automatically added to my card when I rented a car using their credit card. I had disputed the charges and they said they would cancel this automatic charge of {$24.00} when I rented a car using this card. That has not been the case, I received another {$24.00} charge and was told it was not cancelled until this year on XX/XX/XXXX, which is not true ... it was cancelled years ago.

Complaint: I canceled my service with The XXXX XXXX XXXX canceling their authorization to retrieve funds from my credit card account because I was led to believe that I had to keep their XXXX services to obtain the credit card. Following the cancelation, I never paid any of the monthly charges because I added a block. I filed a dispute XXXX for {$2900.00} with American Express because The XXXX was non-responsive. It was credited back to my balance. On XX/XX/2019, American Express rebilled me the {$2900.00} and charged me XXXX the first monthly installment on XXXX after I made them aware and forwarded them a copy of the cancelation request I sent the merchant. At the time of this purchase, I made the sales lady aware that I was suffering from severe XXXX and my husband suffers residuals from a XXXX. I felt like we were taken advantage of and ignored when I expressed buyers remorse. At the time of the purchase I was being treated for severe XXXX and they completely disregarded my attempts to cancel prior to the letter I faxed. Now, American Express feels it's their duty to make me abide by the contract that I canceled with The XXXX.

Complaint: This is continued follow-up and documentation re : complaint XXXX. American Express applied a penalty APR of 29.99 % to my Business Blue account. They claim I missed a payment in XX/XX/XXXX and thus it was applied, and they will review in 12 months. First, this is not correct. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a XX/XX/XXXX payment of {$1500.00}, and on XX/XX/XXXX, I paid the XX/XX/XXXX bill early, making another payment of {$2800.00} on that date : this was an early payment for XXXX. The XX/XX/XXXX payment of {$500.00} was the XX/XX/XXXX payment. I was charged a penalty APR of 29.99 % for over a year because American Express was confused over an early payment. I also want to know what CFPB 's role is in helping with credit card fraud. This is the agency tasked with protecting consumers, and I intend to pursue action with a lawyer. This is how egregious conducting business with credit card companies has become : I have been a customer of theirs since XXXX ( both Business Blue and American Express Platinum ) and *never* missed a payment. In addition, according to Amex, whom is inaccurate in their response, 1 ) they charged the penalty APR of 29.99 % because I was ( according to them but incorrectly ) 6 days late with a payment ( after 20 years of no missed payments - ever ), and 2 ) they can apply the penalty APR of 29.99 % for over 12 months. According to the Credit Act of 2009, the penalty APR of 29.99 % can not be applied until after 60 days of late payment ; and 2 ) the penalty rate must be removed after 6 months. So, on all fronts, American Express is incorrect. What is the role of CFPB in helping consumers with this injustice?

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX i was notified by bluebird that there was an ATM withdrawal in the amount of XXXX in Florida. I filed the dispute and showed proof that was at work in TN when this happened and my claim was still denied I called back and was told to provide a police report which i did and my vlaim was denied. I sent an email per American Express as the card is through them and never received a response back. When i called today because my claim was denied again they XXXX with badge number XXXX advised me to contact the ATM or nank but could not give me the name of the bank or a number to contact. I believ my card was clonned while using it at the mall. I am not aure what else to do. He was able to give me an address of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Florida.

Complaint: I used the Plan It feature. For three of the purchases, with XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX PA, the merchants fully refunded the charges. However, American Express has been unwilling to cancel the three plans and refund me all of the monthly service charges I have been assessed. I have been told three times by American Express that this has been resolvedthe last time from XXXX, a Plan It supervisor, who left me a message on XX/XX/2019. But the plans have not been cancelled and the fees have not been refunded.

Complaint: I paid my American Express Everyday Blue Cash credit card off in XX/XX/XXXX and was super excited to finallly have a zero balance and have the opportunity to begin using my credit card for purchases and being able to earn rewards. I began chatting with an agent on the Chat online on XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX EST. I requested a lower APR due to having better credit now than I did when i applied in XXXX. I have been a card holder since XX/XX/XXXX and never have i had my APR lowered or my credit limit increased. My other credit cards lowered my APR and increase my credit limit multiple times except American Express. During the chat of requesting a lower APR i was advised my APR was unable to be lowered at this current time. I accepted that response and asked what my current APR was on the account. That is when I was informed my APR was 25.24 %. I was extremely surprised my APR was so high due to when opening my American Express Credit card in XXXX my APR was 19.24 %. I never received any letter or notification regarding this APR increase and when I asked why I was advised the letter was missing in the mail and they confirmed it was never delivered to me. I continued to speak with an agent on chat on XX/XX/XXXX, and then i requested to escalate my concerns where i began speaking with a Supervisor via chat who advised my the same information and that the letter was sent in XX/XX/XXXX and then notice was on my statement, but the letter was lost in the mail. That was when i was provided a phone number of XXXX to discuss my account with someone and be provided the reasoning my APR was increased and why my APR was unable to be decreased at the time. I made the call to that number on XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX EST where i received no help from the initial agent nor the next supervisor. I requested to speak with a manager and was advised one was not available. I accepted that one was unavailable and requested to leave a voicemail or have a manager contact me back regarding my concerns and the Supervisor advised me that no one would be able to do anything and speaking with someone higher would result in the same answer. I am now waiting for a response back from the manager. I was advised my APR was increased due to my Fico in XX/XX/XXXX and the increase started on XX/XX/XXXX. This is a HUGE increase, I never received a letter, and i was never delinquent on the account and was an outstanding customer. I read the valid reasons on this site on what constitutes an unexpected APR increase and i did not meet or cause any of them. I would like my APR to be adjusted back to the 19.24 % or lower. My issues are unresolved and my customer experience is horrendous.

Complaint: I had an account with American Express Serve. On XX/XX/2018 I tried to log into my account and it said there was no account with that name. I called the company and it went to a recording stating I should receive an email with information on my account and that it was closed. I still get that recording if I call. The email says " During our recent review of your American Express Serve Account, we identified Account activity that we believe violates the terms of the Serve Consumer User Agreement. As a result of such activity, and pursuant to Section 15 ( d ) of the Serve Consumer User Agreement, your Account and your Account privileges have been permanently suspended. If you have any questions or would like to inquire further, you may write to us at the following address : Serve Customer Care XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX, GA XXXX Thanks, '' I immediately sent them a letter regular mail asking them for my balance of aprox {$2400.00} be sent to account address and any other information as to why they closed my account. I didn't get any response. I cant get through on the phone to anyone because they have a block on my number. On XX/XX/2018 I sent a certified letter " Dear Customer Care, You recently closed my account, more importantly I had a balance of aprox {$2400.00} and I havent received any information as to when or how I am supposed to get it from you. Please send a check immediately to my account address or send me information how to collect my money. It has been 11 days and I havent received anything in the mail with an explanation or the balance when you closed it. Please send any information on why my account was closed to the address below. Please send the balance of my account to '' I haven't got any reply. I don't have any idea of how I violated their terms and at this point I don't care how. I just want the balance of my account or information as to why they still have not sent me my money. It is right around {$2400.00} or more that they have kept for months with no explanation. I would like American Express to send me the balance of my account when they closed it.
