Complaint: American Express has a promotion for their Every Day card for 0 % interest for 15 months and zero balance transfer fee. No where in the marketing, application process or card member agreement is it stated that there is a {$5000.00} total balance transfer limit. Consumers only find out about the limit when the try to transfer a balance ; after a hard inquiry on their credit report and after being approved. I would not have applied for the card had I known there was a limit and now there is nothing I can do to reverse the hard inquiry on my credit report which has a negative impact.

Complaint: XX/XX/2019 - I received an e-mail from American Express stating " We've received your payment '' for {$50.00} - I have not made any recent payments to American express. - I contacted American express via their online chat, and they stated, " I can see a {$50.00} payment was initiated using our phone number. It was not intitated by Amex. It's a Manual payment made using our Pay by phone number. '' - I advised American express I had not made any payments by phone. I have not authorized any payments. I advised them to cancel this phone payment as the account it was posting to has no funds available. - American express then advised, " I can see your account has been transferred to XXXX XXXX, so need to have a word with them for it. You can call XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX at XXXX for more info on it. '' - I replied to American express stating the payment shows directly from American express in the e-mail not a third party company. - American express made no further responses.

Complaint: I applied for the American Express Gold Delta SkyMiles Business credit card on XX/XX/2018. There was a promotional offer attached to the credit card to earn XXXX bonus miles after making {$1000.00} in purchases within the first 3 months of card membership. Before my credit was ran and applying, I was NOT advised any message regarding not being eligible for this offer. I applied for the credit card as normal, and received it the following week. On XX/XX/2018 I decided to check the status of the promotional welcome offer. I have attached the chat from XX/XX/XXXX where the customer service rep stated that the offer had been declined by the back-end team. Extremely upset because I also received a letter from American Express on XX/XX/XXXX, stating that I was shown a pop-up with a warning that I would not be eligible for the offer BEFORE applying & running my credtNO SUCH WARNING WAS SHOWN TO ME.

Complaint: Hi, for the past 4 months I've been going back and forth the credit reporting agencies regarding these accounts in question and the reason for this is because I know that these accounts are being reported incorrectly. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 609 ) it is my right to challenge any account in my credit if I believe they are being reported inaccurate, unverifiable or incomplete. I believe they are and some of them have been corrected on some of the bureaus and some have not. I would like to make this complaint to show the level of urgency I have towards this matter. If you can please help I would really appreciate it. These accounts have to be deleted since they are holding my credit scores back and I'm looking to use my credit soon to make a major purchase. Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX was offering XXXX bonus points after spending {$3000.00} on American Expresses website. But when I called to activate my card and confirm the promotion they refuse to honor it. They offered to give me XXXX if I spent {$2000.00} but thats not what was advertised. I spoke with XXXX after I got off the phone with American Express and they told me their website states XXXX for {$2000.00} and that what I was offered was incorrect. Im not sure if its a typo or what but its false advertising.

Complaint: I have been trying to transfer my American Express membership rewards to airlines for 3 weeks ( from XX/XX/XXXX ), but the system keeps showing " This action will not be completed at this time because your account is currently being reviewed to make sure all eligible purchases meet qualifying criteria. '' I tried to security message customer support who wanted me to call their Membership Rewards team and the MR team said they can't do anything about that and won't tell me the reason why my account is under review. I then filed a CFPB complaint and American Express released my rewards on XX/XX/XXXX stating they have completed the review. I redeemed some of my rewards to airlines on XX/XX/XXXX, but American Express FROZE my rewards AGAIN on XX/XX/XXXX. I only had normal spending on XX/XX/XXXX and really don't understand the reason why American Express put my account under review AGAIN. This is really frustrating.

Complaint: I got an AMEX Gold card that carries an annual fee of {$350.00}. I closed the account before the promotion ( 1st year fee waived ) ended in early XX/XX/2018. But I was billed for the annual fee AFTER the acct has been closed. I have called AMEX after received the bill, and AMEX promised to stop the erratic bill. It has been over a year since then, and I still receive the bill for {$350.00}, yet the bill shows that the acct has been closed. I called AMEX last month, the rep claimed that the fee can't be waived. I requested to speak with his supervisor. He told me that his supervisor will call me within 24 hours. The call never came, and I still continue to receive the bill.
