Complaint: I am a long time customer of American Express. For nearly ten years. I had a {$15000.00} credit line with them. At the end of last year, I utilized my credit line. Immediately XX/XX/2019, I was sent a notice that my credit line was being reduced to {$13000.00}. I have never been late once with American Express or any other credit card company. I reduced my balance responsibly to conform with the reduced credit line. On XX/XX/2019 I received another email reduction of my credit line, in the middle of my shopping to {$12000.00}. No advance notice and nothing. I called American Express this morning and I was informed that my account is reviewed every six months and that they review my credit score and financial dealings with all my creditors. That they have the legal right to do so. I have done research on this and I understand that they have this legal right, BUT, this is wrong. My approved credit line with American Express should only be reduced if I missed a payment or did something wrong. I also feel that my privacy as an American Citizen is being violated. They should not have the right to continuously review my credit report or financial transactions. Consumers need protection from large companies like this. The American Express rep. kept saying that this is legal. It may be legal, but it is plain wrong and an infringement of my privacy. They should not be allowed to randomly without notice change the terms of their offer of credit.

Complaint: I have submitted transaction disputes to this card companys fraud department because of fraudulent transactions made against my account. The first dispute was for transactions on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX totaling {$130.00} which were the result of Identity Theft, which I only discovered recently, and which has been properly reported and documented with local and federal authorities. I provided the reports of identity theft that Id filed but the company denied reimbursement for my claim. The second dispute related to a transaction that I made to an online retailer which was later discovered to be a fake company. I filed a complaint with the Arizona Attorney Generals Office and included that with my dispute for the {$120.00} that was debited from my account. As yet, I have not received any response to my dispute for that claim which I submitted on XX/XX/XXXX. I did send a follow-up letter on XX/XX/XXXX to this company demanding that my disputes be processed immediately and reimbursement for the unauthorized transactions be issued without further delay. I filed all disputes and written communications via an upload link provided by the company through email. I have not yet received any response from the company.

Complaint: I have two credit cards with American Express. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have been using both card for quite some time, and one of the credit cards was over a year. I been constantly using the card and make at least the minimum payment on time.
I received a promotion offer from AMEX, that AMEX will offer XXXX bonus XXXX XXXX point for each additional card holder I add. So I took up the offer and added multiple additional card for my family members.
Around XXXX, XXXX, my AMEX app said that my account was suspended, so I contact AMEX immediately and trying to see what happened. The person answered the call redirect me to different department, before telling me that the Amex Review team need to speak to me, and their office is closed, and said they will leave a message for AMEX to call me. I waited for a week and never received any call, so I called AMEX again and still haven't received any call back, so I decided to call them again and then finally I get to speak to the member of financial review team. The representative was very rude and ask me why did I add those additional card holders and why I am using the card the way, and asked me to filled out the 4506T form for tax without even provide me the form or any instruction. I have to called the financial review team again and speak to their manager in order to get them form.
I tried to filled up the form and send to them as soon as possible. I have attached the evidence I have provided the filled 4506T form.
After I sent the form to them, I did try to contact them and left a lot of message to follow up with no success, and then I realized they closed my account, and saying that they weren't able to reach me, and they have try to contact me and claiming that I did not filled in the form correctly. I have never received any letter or email regarding this issue, and the account manager who handle this issue saying that is not their responsibility, and I shouldn't call them after hours, they only worked till XXXX, which I am working at that time as well.
The entire experience trying to solve the issue was unpleasant and humiliating. Everytime I contact AMEX, they have to go through procedure to confirm my identify multiple times during one call, and I left a lot of messages with no response. Once I managed to get in contact to the person in charge of reviewing my account, always acting very rude, talking over me, and keep saying they have no responsibilities to keep following up with me, and it is their normal procedure to close my account within a week after first attempt to contact me.
I try to appeal the decision over the phone, and seem like the AMEX team show little interest to sort out this issue with me, so I have no choose to fight for my fundamental right as a customer by lodging this compliant in Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
I just hope AMEX to review my account and have both of my credit card accounts reinstated, I feel like I wasn't treated fairly, I try my best to cooperate, but your financial review team just seem like they desperately want to close my accounts and made little effort try to sort out issue nor provide any quality customer service. I have been a loyal customer, and yet I have not received the bonus point that I was promised and I have already paid the annual fee while my account was cancelled.

My XXXX accounts I have always paid within 30 days. I have had trouble paying my XXXX account due to a XXXX XXXX. AMEX is hurting my credit report since they have closed both accounts and are not reporting my history of making payments.
I am paying extremely high interest, The least that they can do is report my credit accurately.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: i see below charges on my account. some of them were fraud. I reported those and amex paid me back. But i see one charge that was paid back. what was that? could amex provide me exact transaction and order number for that XXXX order?
also they should explain - why they dont have any way to submit email complaints? dont they value our time and expect us to call them? Other banks allow private messages but amex doesnt.

Complaint: I used a prepaid bluebird Amex card that I use for my some purchases or to pay bills to merchants I do not trust. I add funds to this account through linking my bank atm debit card linked to my XXXX XXXX checking account. Bluebird is telling me XXXX XXXX denied transaction transfers, yet XXXX XXXX checking was debited and transactions were paid to bluebird, yet my bluebird account was not credited for all the transactions. Plus, within the past month, every time I open the bluebird app, a different three digits appears in the user name spot. Its always three digits but always three different digits every time I open the app. These three digits are a mix of numbers and/or letters ( some of the digits are strange and not even on any of my phone keyboards. One such example of this is one of those three digits was an elongated /p/ where the straight line continues up above the circled area ). I called bluebird and transferred me to claim specialist and she gave me an email to send the screenshots I started taking. However, despite going over the email with her to make sure I wrote it correctly, it bounced back, informing me there is no such email address.

Complaint: On Friday, XX/XX/2019, I tried to transfer my American Express Membership Reward Points to one of the transfer partners. I immediately got a message stating : " This action will not be completed at this time, because your account is currently being reviewed to make sure all eligible purchases meet qualifying criteria. '' I've reached out to American Express numerous times and was told that the review could take 6-8 weeks. Well, it's been over 12 weeks, and several phone calls later, and as of today, XX/XX/2019, my MR points are still frozen.
Can someone please tell me whats happing with my points, and when I'll be able to use them again.

Complaint: My Name is XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX My Father was XXXX XXXX XXXX . He passed away XX/XX/XXXX.
Our company XXXX XXXX , XXXX has a AMEX Platinum Corporate Charge Card since XXXX. I took over as the Primary Responsible party after his passing.
8 months ago ( XX/XX/XXXX ) AMEX first suspended my AMEX Business Platinum Corporate account stating I was deceased based on a report from XXXX. They have subsequently reinstated it various times.
AMEX says they are only reacting to XXXX Monthly Electronic Filing that updates them every 30 days.
AMEX says that the monthly XXXX report shows the FICO Score and other derogatory notes like bankruptcies or in my case a score of 1 that indicates deceased.
AMEX Told me to request a long form credit report and XXXX gave it to me. I also spoke to specialists at XXXX. According to XXXX, No noticed associations with XXXX XXXX, XXXX or mixed SS # s/DOBs appear on my Credit Report Spoke to XXXX special consulting department again on XX/XX/XXXX who reassured me there is no indicator of me being deceased on my report or associated w/ My deceased Father.
In the meantime, I view all 3 bureau credit scores on my own that are over 800 and have purchased 2 cars and received a credit card line increase in the same period.
ONLY AMEX has an issue with my credit report according to what they claim XXXX is sending them- While XXXX states nothing is showing on their end.
I don't know what else to do to resolve this issue with AMEX. I have consulted all 3 Credit Bureaus multiple times for hours and hours over the phone, received credit reports and noted every item is correct. Until this is resolved, AMEX could suspend my Business Platinum account which would impede the way our business runs as we use this card for several recurring monthly charges and subscriptions.

Complaint: The complaint is against American Express, namely an American Express " Blue Cash '' account, a joint account between my wife and I. We had set up an automatic payment of $ XXXX/mo to the account. On XX/XX/2019, this payment was made to American Express, then on XX/XX/2019, TWO MORE {$200.00} withdrawals were made to our checking account, for a total of an additional {$400.00}. Upon noticing this, we immediately contacted the company customer service, and on XX/XX/2019, they refunded ONE of the additional {$200.00} debits. We asked when we could expect the 2nd refund and were told it would have to come by check and an inquiry would be started. Since then we have called American Express customer service on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and most recently on XX/XX/XXXX.
Each time the customer service rep was very sorry this happened, and would add ANOTHER inquiry, which when we checked the website, were closed. Also each rep seemed to have a different answer on whether we would get a check or they would deposit the remaining {$200.00} back in our account. Each rep was asked WHY the initial {$200.00} that was taken on XX/XX/2019 could be refunded to us basically TWO DAYS LATER on XX/XX/2019, via deposit to our checking account and WHY are we still looking for the second {$200.00} OVER TWO MONTHS LATER? NONE had any kind of an answer to this. The inquirys that have been placed for this problem up until the last one ( XX/XX/XXXX ) were closed with no apparent action. Also all of them, up to the last two had " Ticket/Merchandise not recieved '', which, to us, meant nothing. The last two inquiries, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, at LEAST showed " Credit Balance Refund '' BUT the XX/XX/XXXX one was closed without any action apparent to us.
BOTTOM LINE : We have been led on a merry chase with American Express and since we are retired and living on a fixed income, for this company to take our regular payment then take TWO ADDITIONAL " payments '', is unconcionable. Needless to say we no longer allow them to take payments monthly from our account.

Complaint: I had an American Express personal credit card. I actually had 3 of them. When I began having financial difficulty due to the economy in XXXX, I attempted to contact American Express and asked them to consolidate all three cards so that I might make one payment and it would not be so confusing to have 3 different due dates. They would not do this. As I fell further behind, two of the cards were repeatedly switched to many different collection agencies and it became hard to tell if the people calling were legitimate or not. The card with the highest balance seemed to remain with American Express, not a collection agency. I began trying to pay the other two cards but none of the agencies involved could tell me if the debt would be eliminated if I continued to pay or if I completed the " program ''. So, I stopped paying them. The card that seemed to remain with American Express was not offered to settle. In XXXX of XXXX, I received a call from an " attorney '' who said he represented American Express and wanted to know my situation. I spoke to him and he never offered to settle this debt. Just now, on XX/XX/XXXX, I was " served '' at my door with a lawsuit regarding this card. I question who filed this case and the validity of it because it says the plaintiff is " American Express National Bank ''. Everything I have read says this entity is the branch of American Express that handles their personal savings accounts, not credit cards. I also question this due to the fact that this debt is older and that I have received many seemingly fraudulent sounding phone calls from unverifiable sources and have had someone who said they were American Express debit my checking account for {$270.00} after I specifically called for a cease and desist on any and all payments and collections until verified. Please help me determine if this lawsuit is real or fake. I need to know how to respond and do not want to go through this if it is the actions of an unscrupulous attorney or no attorney at all. In my county, there have been attorneys and/or groups of people who have banded together and pursue collections thinking no one will ever try to verify anything and they will just pay even if time frames have passed and even if credit card companies do not know they are collecting on their behalf. Please help.
