Complaint: I have started to monitor my credit report and noticed hard inquires on my report that I did not authorize. I have contacted the companies and the credit bureaus with no success and no help. The inquiries below should not be appearing on my credit file. I never gave verbal or written permission to these companies to run my credit. I have been a victim of identity theft in the past.

Complaint: I booked a hotel with American Express Travel this past XXXX ( 2017 ) and used my American Express card to pay for the hotel fees. However, American Express Travel did not fulfill their contract with me and subsequently, I disputed the transaction with American Express so I could receive a refund. Although American Express should be unbiased and evaluate my dispute objectively, since American Express Travel is part of their company, they are not evaluating the transaction objectively. I know this because they literally told me. And they even told me that they could put me online with Amex travel.
I can go into the exact details of how XXXX Travel did not meet their contract if it necessary but much of that information and associated documents are already in American Express 's hands.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I applied for the XXXX XXXX card through American Express, and was approved immediately. Two offers existed for this card that I was interested in : one was a {$100.00} statement credit that would be applied to the account if you made a purchase with XXXX ; the other was a bonus of XXXX XXXX miles if I spent {$4000.00} in the first four months of having the card.
American Express offers a way to use a card immediately after you 've been approved, so on the day I was approved, XXXX XXXX, I booked tickets for my husband and me on the XXXX website, for the amounts of {$140.00} each ( {$280.00} total ). This spending should have triggered the {$100.00} statement credit.
On XXXX XXXX I met the {$4000.00} minimum spend requirement to get the XXXX bonus miles.
It is now XXXX XXXX. It has been five and a half months since I met the statement credit requirement, and it has been four months since I met the bonus mile requirement. I have not received the promised reward. Since XXXX, I have contacted American Express via phone or via online chat about 2-3x per month to ask for status updates on this issue. I am only told that American Express is aware of the issue and they are working to fix it, and " it should be resolved in a couple more days. Please be patient. ''

Problem during payment process
Complaint: I have had my American Express card since XXXX. It has always been set up on autopay and i have never missed a payment on this or any other credit account i have ever had. Apparently in XXXX there was a problem with the autopay and for some reason the account has been marked as 30 days late on my credit reports. Causing my excellent credit rating of 800+ to drop well over 100+ points! I am very disappointed and can not have this negative remark on my excellent credit file. I am requesting that since i have always been a on time paying member to American Express and that i had no idea the account payment didnt go through that they remove the late payment reported in XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: In the beginning of XXXX over a three month period my American Express was charged {$2900.00} total in many many XXXX charges that were not mine. I have sent over the 49 page dispute to American Express 3 times and they finally confirmed receipt of it. This has been going on for one year and nine months now. I was only given credit of approx. {$400.00} of the total of {$2900.00}. I have called American Express an additional nine times over the last year and have been told every time its still in process and will be resolved shortly. In the start of this in XXXX XXXX I was told it would take a few months. After 5 months I was told it would take a couple more months. After calling nine times, the last 6 calls I was told they would call me back within 48 hours after the look into it and see why I had still not received the credit. I NEVER have received a call back. I had to pay the full {$2900.00} as this is a platinum American Express and is due in full every month, there are no partial payments. Thank you.

Complaint: I called my American Express to seek help with some problems with companies who took my money and never rendered me any services.I had to call several times as I feel the representative did not want to work on my problems because I was disconnected.I had two girls say no problem we will get them in dispute, then i was transferred to another girl who said it was to old.I explained to her that the merchants merchandise was not as described.I explained to her my husband and I are both legally XXXX and the company said no problem we will take care of everything.American Express told me so many different stories I still do not understand.They would not look at XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX.I was run around to seven different people who all seemed to have a different way of doing things.I talked to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, ,and XXXX.I still did not get an answer.I heard so many different scenarios I was left feeling like I was just pushed around from one department to another without getting a definitive answer.Please help me get my refund as I never received any service for all this money.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: My bill with American Express was due on XXXX XXXX. The amount was XXXX. I pay my bills on time. I decided to pay XXXX, about 2 weeks before the due date bringing the bill down to XXXX. One week before the due date I received an email from American Express informing me that if I did not make a payment immediately the bank May suspend charging privelegs. This is not the first time I have received threats and harassment prior to the due date attempting to intimidate the cardholder to pay the bill prior to the due date, I called them and was very clear that the bill would be paid on the XXXX and not before because this is when I get paid and I have a budget. I also told them I have a mortgage but never receive intimidating emails threatening to cancel my mortgage if I dont pay it earlier than the due date. I have had my card fir 25 years with them. It is outrageous that XXXX contacts their customers with these threatening demands and they should be made to stop.

Complaint: This is regarding the Premium Car Rental Protection offered by American Express as an optional benefit for their cards. The dispute is with regards to incorrectly applying the charge for the premium for this benefit to a credit card which I had signed up for recently BUT HAD NOT enrolled for the Premium Car Rental Protection. Following are the details.
I completed a car rental at XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and on XXXX XXXX, I saw a charge in my credit card account for {$24.00} from Amex for Premium Car Rental Protection. I did not recognize that charge as I had not signed up for this car rental protection and immediately filed a dispute for the charge Amex Dispute Reference Number : XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, I received a letter from Amex about the dispute resolution and in the letter it stated that the charge is valid since I had signed up my card account for the Premium Car Rental Protection service in XXXX XXXX and hence the charge will stay. I agree that I had signed up for this benefit in XXXX for the other American Express credit cards that I had. However, the credit card in question, I applied for this card in XXXX XXXX and had not consented to be enrolled in the Premium Car Rental Protection. Being a new card account, there was no reason for me to suspect that American Express would enroll my card in this benefit without specifically asking for my consent or even informing me about it. However, they did and then when I used the card for the car rental, they charged me for the benefit. This does not seem fair and I feel American Express is using my consent from XXXX ( which I had given for other card accounts ) incorrectly and applying it to a new account incorrectly. On top of that, they are unwilling to make it right and even after 2 disputes filed, multiple phone calls with AmEx representatives and the Premium Car Rental Protection department, they refuse to make it right. This practice by American Express to enroll the customer 's accounts for a charged benefit unbeknownst to the customer is very deceptive and shady.

Complaint: Hello, I received an offer from American Express XXXX AMEX ) to apply for the Platinum Card, which is {$450.00} a year. As part of this offer, they promised XXXX bonus points, if I charge {$20000.00} within the first three months. I accepted this offer and received the card.
After receiving the card, I asked about this points offer, and they told me that I would not be getting it, as I 've had an AMEX Platinum in the past. Never during any of the application process was I notified of this, nor is it a stated condition on their website. AMEX imposed this condition *after* I had accepted their offer, and tolerated a hard credit pull.
AMEX must honor the offers that they make. Businesses can not make an offer, have it accepted, then reneg. This is flatly against the XXXX, and is probably illegal.
If I had not noticed this issue, and proceeded, I would have been out {$450.00}, plus another {$600.00} or so from points I would not have received from another card. So I was on the hook for about {$1000.00}, if AMEX were to get away with this.
They have offered no remedy at this point.

Problem with fees
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX imposed an annual fees of {$170.00} included GST {$11.00}.
I called XXXX customer services on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX and spoke to an officer named XXXX XXXX , however, she refused to waive the annual fees. I requested to speak to senior manager. However, I did not get a call back within 48 hours as promised by XXXX. I received call from a lady manager named as XXXX. She reluctant to waive the full annual fees and offered me to pay half of the cost although I have been frequently used their XX/XX/XXXXXX/XX/XXXXat XX/XX/XXXX.. I felt very disappointed.
