Problem with rewards from credit card
Complaint: Hi, I have the American Express credit card that I paid {$450.00} for a year. This is my first year. I'm supposed to get 2 points for every dollar spent on the XXXX website. I've had the worst time getting my points.
My last point given was in XX/XX/XXXX, for the months of XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I've had to call them in XX/XX/XXXX and they retroactively gave me points of those months. I didn't get points for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ( which I think I was supposed to get something like over 9,000 ). I called in XX/XX/XXXX. Was told the same thing, that I got my points in XX/XX/XXXX, which I had to explain to them again that the XX/XX/XXXXone was given retroactively for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. The manager asked me to do a three way call with XXXX to make sure that XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX was never gotten. I did and he made a note of it that I was never given credit for that. A month later I got a letter saying that they closed the case. I do get points here and there, but it's little ones like when I go out to eat or something.
I traveled in XX/XX/XXXX but didn't bother using the American express card. I did however used it again in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX for my travels and once again have received nothing. I have called a good six times since XX/XX/XXXX. Had to explain over and over that I have not gotten my points from online usage on months beginning in XX/XX/XXXX. The last two times I called I was put on hold for over 45 minutes then the phone died. The time before that, I was told theres a wait time of over 2 hours and that a manager would call me back, and no one called back.

Complaint: I WAS CHARGED ON MY AMERICAN EXPRESS GOLD DELTA SKYMILES CARD ENDING IN XXXX ON XX/XX/12 FROM A COMPANY CALLED THE XXXX XXXX FOR {$1900.00} AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THIS COMPANY IS AND NEVER AUTHORIZED THIS TRANSACTION AND NEVER DID BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I CALLED AMERICAN EXPRESS AS SOON AS I SAW THIS ON MY STATEMENT AND REPORTED THIS AS A FRAUD AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD GET THE CREDIT ON MY CARD AND I NEVER DID. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM THAT THEY NEVER REFUNDED ME MY MONEY THAT WAS TAKEN FROM MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT. I AM NOW REACHING OUT TO YOU TO HELP ME GET MY MONEY BACK. Complaint: I was looking to apply for an everyday rewards credit card and I went online to www.americanexpress.com ( XX/XX/2018 ) and clicked on " cards ''. There were different options for cards and the BLUE CASH EVERYDAY card seemed to fit my needs and what I was looking for. The welcome offer stated " 0 % APR for the first 12 months '', {$200.00} back as statement credit after spending {$1000.00} using Amex card the first 3 months of card membership. I then clicked " apply now '' and upon submitting my information I was instantly approved. I DID NOT leave the page and returned at a later time. At the bottom of the welcome offer I clicked " apply now ''.
After receiving my card, I made a big purchase and I called american express to ask general questions on rewards and such. I was told that I did not receive the welcome offer 0 % APR. I asked to speak with a manager, and I was told they would investigate this and I would get a notification with the outcome of the investigation. I was notified a few days later that I was not eligible for the welcome offer with no explanation. I called back to speak with a manager and apparently a manager was not available and the representative took my phone number and told me I would receive a call from a supervisor/manager. No one ever called me. I am extremely disappointed because I was looking to build my credit, however, due to the misleading and FALSE information/advertising on the American Express website I am now receiving outstanding interest rates. I would of never applied for this card if it wasn't for the welcome offer. It is unfortunate that no one at American Express helped me by honoring the welcome offer and fixing the situation as I truly believe this is something that could of been rectified to keep customers happy. Each and every representative I spoke to did not try to help me and seemed to rush me off the phone.
If they honored the welcome offer I would of been a loyal customer for life, paid off my balance in full and continued to use my card and eventually upgrade. I want American Express to do the right thing by applying the welcome offer to my account 0 % APR and apply the {$200.00} statement credit on the XXXX month since I spent over {$1000.00} during the first 3 months of my card membership.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I initiated a balance transfer of XXXX to XXXX.with my American Express credit card. Since the payment didn't appear on my mortgage statement, I contacted American Express. American Express paid XXXX XXXX the XXXX.
American Express said they would investigate ( 3-6 weeks ). I demanded that the balance transfer be cancelled and my account cancelled.
American Express refused to send me documentation of my demand and refused to cancel my account.

Complaint: My family and I are American Express platinum card holders. I pay XXXX $ in fees for the main card in addition for XXXX $ for additional cards. The company has advertised in its American Express offers and benefits page in my online account a promotion saying that if you purchase $ 1000+ of airfare at XXXX XXXX XXXX website, you receive XXXX points. I added the promotion to my account, and few days later I decided to buy my mother a round trip ticket to XXXX from a foreign location on XXXX XXXX for around {$1200.00} ( transaction dated XX/XX/XXXX ). I started my booking at XXXX XXXX XXXX. I book the ticket and the promotion was not honored. American Express claim that the transaction was done from a foreign location of XXXX XXXX and not through XXXX XXXX XXXX. Maybe this got triggered by the origin city of the flight, and switched to a different XXXX server. As a customer there is no way to know on what XXXX XXXX server the ticket is purchased. After filing a complaint with American Express, they did not want to honor their promotion. It was merely impossible to discern which server of XXXX XXXX of which country booked the ticket. The was other cheaper airlines choices out here and American Express advertising and promoting was misleading. They go and refer to a very technical terms and conditions that is very misleading.
I try to file another complaint over the customer service phone line. The representative coldly say that they can do nothing and that they will document the complaint with no further follow-up.In summary, I pay more than XXXX $ in credit card fees a year for a very bad customer service for a luxury financial product.

Complaint: By XX/XX/2017 I had received numerous offers for an American Express Delta credit card. It claimed a reward of XXXX miles for signing up and using the card and spending {$1000.00} in three months. When I tried to sign up for the card, I was given a 20 minute speech. I said I didn't have time to listen for longer. I tried 3 more times but the agents didn't seem to be able to process the application. One agent told me to try online. When I tried online, the message kept saying that my XXXX FF number wasn't correct, even though I knew it was. I gave up.
I have called Amex and XXXX numerous times about this credit card to get the miles and buy my flights with the " free checked bags. '' Each agent and the online information are completely conflicting. Today I signed up for the card, then when I wanted to use it to buy the tickets I had spent DAYS trying to coordinate, it said my purchase limit was {$1000.00}!!!! ONE PART of the ticket I need to buy is {$1100.00}! The other is {$1000.00}, the other is XXXX Euros. The ONLY reason I got this card was to buy these XXXX flights and get the miles. If I don't buy all three parts of the tickets together, I may lose the linked flights. And if I use another credit card, I don't ' get the bag fee waivers or the miles which was the only reason I signed up! I am VERY angry because I know that every time I apply for a card I lose points on my credit score, so I do not like to sign up for cards I don't need. I did not need this card. I already had an AMEX and knew how incompetent Amex Can be ( they sent MY credit cards to a random address and won't tell me what INCORRECT address they have in their system. They risked my having identity theft and did nothing to compensate me for that.
Amex and XXXX should be fined for this fraud they are committing.
I want compensation for their lowering my credit score, and I want the XXXX bonus miles I was originally promised, since I didn't get it due to THEIR errors, and I want all bag fees waived and the double miles I would have gotten for {$2200.00} on XXXX. Otherwise, I would have used another credit card and another airline!
XXXX already failed to credit me for the miles I flew from XXXX to XXXX,, and the miles my boyfriend flew from XXXX to XXXX to XXXX. XXXX and XXXX are both scamming their customers.

Problem with fees
Complaint: late fees have been charged to the account and are the only charges on the account Two previous calls to AMEX I was assured late fees were waived. each time the charges have not been waived and more late fees are assessed against the previous late fee. The third call I cancelled the card and was again assured that all charges were waived and result in a XXXX balance. That call occurred on XX/XX/18. when I cancelled the card I spoke to an on-shore representative and explained the issue. His advice was to speak to a supervisor if the charges were not removed. Once again the charges were not removed and more late fees assessed. I call back to AMEX on XX/XX/18 and asked for a supervisor. I was told the supervisor would call me back in 15 minutes. It has been 4 days and I am now submitting this compliant on XX/XX/18.

The complaint is about report submitted by AMEX on my account stating delayed payment of my credit card balance which as a result affected my credit score and decision of my recent application to XXXX XXXX XXXX Credit Card with XXXX.
Step 3 : What happened?
I owned AMEX premier Gold card since XX/XX/XXXX and I have been diligent with my bill payments and on-time until XX/XX/XXXX when i received a communication stating i could start paying minimum bill only against the previous policy of paying my balance in full by every month. I thought this was convenient ( just like every other credit card ) to pay only minimum balance, and i thought AMEX was trying to give me the flexibility and opportunity to use my credit card more. This communication also came at a time i recently bought a house hence, what an opportunity presented to me to take care of my immediate needs.
I made few transactions with the card and i ensured i was paying back biweekly but to my surprise, AMEX was still demanding full payment by month end. I made several attempts at clarifying with all their several agents that called me to no avail. I explained what i knew was the norm, and the communication i received from same company stating i could be flexible and also spread my payment.

Complaint: Referencing claim Number XXXX First of all, your facts are misleading and your letter that was sent to a Federal Agency is considered defamation and slanderous ... Furthermore, we have recorded calls that we have in safekeeping that specifically stated at least 6 times that XXXX XXXX in your XXXX call center stated emphatically on my recorded lines that she accepts full responsibility for the XXXX.. In addition, these calls had AMEX on the phone with their representative of XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX was also on the phone.
This is a matter that you are creating by not paying what she stated and now you have basically called me a liar that is very very damaging. Do you want me to pursue not only legal damages but punitive damages? WE also have the right which we have reserved to bring this to the medias attention that I dont think you want to have a major media campaign on this.
You have one month to respond and fix my credit and make payment good ... otherwise we will pursue this.

Complaint: Had a outstanding balance with American Express gold card which was paid in full and had a agreement with their internal collection department for pay to delete. After the payment of {$1400.00} I havent received any letters from American Express about the agreement and the company have baked out from deleting the negative account from my credit reports.
