Complaint: I can only give you a very brief information, b/c I had all the paper work at home and will sumbit to you later if you need it. It happened about two years ago. I had the Credit Card from American Express. But I discovered that they charged me very unfairly, so I decisided to discontinue the relationship with them. I had spoke to the phone rep. for that and she told me not to worry about it, so I thought everything was in smooth condition, but surprisingly received a letter from the company which charged me unbelieveable late fees and interests each month in following months that none of them are my fault. By then, I could not call them to tell the issue, b/c my XXXX leads me to become XXXX XXXX individual. ( please feel free to inquire the copies from the chat dept. of American Express. ) So I communicated with them thru. chat about the issue a great number of times, but it did not work. So I decided to write to CEO & President both about the situation, but I received no feedback at all and got ignored by both of them ; instead, they reported the case to collection agencies. And I sent an email to the first collection agency, and heard no respond from them. However, I continued to receive letters from collection agencies more than once at this point to tell me to pay the debt. I want to stop the relationship with them but never intended further business with them, I want to pay off my share and close my card and never see/hear from them again, but not with their claim and they tried hard to ruin my credit report record which I should earn my excellent credit record back. Can you help on that? I will be happy to send you any additional inform/documents to support my statement. Please help me to do so.

It has been now 40 days since the account was settled. I call every day and ask that this be removed as I can not close on a home loan until it is removed from my credit. Please help!

Complaint: Am a membership rewards member with American Express. Points have been frozen as my account is under review to make sure my purchases fall in-line with their guidelines. On XX/XX/2018, I filed a complaint with CFPB. See, " CFPB Ref No : XXXX ''. American Express responded on XX/XX/2018 with a letter stating that all XXXX MR points have been released and are available for redemption and transfer. See letter, " Ref : XXXX ''. Called American Express customer service. Nothing they can do on their level. Unfortunately, my points are still not usable as per letter. Filing a new complaint to get this resolved as soon as possible. This is my second complaint sent to American Express.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX states I owe {$8600.00} when I and the authorized user already paid off all their debts was credited, never given the points for any payments, payments supposedly were returned by them but never shown as refunded into the bank account. XXXX XXXX states {$1100.00} is owed when I had received a letter saying paid in full then months later I received a letter saying payment was returned. American Express says I owe {$530.00} when I never used the card online nor in person. XXXX XXXX states I owe them {$610.00} but gave it to a debt collector named XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX credited me back {$300.00} then pawned off my account to XXXX XXXX XXXX and is now asking for {$610.00}. All of their debts were paid off, credited, my bank statements prove they were paid off and when they stated payment was returned none of it was returned to my bank account. I believe there is Identity Theft being committed by someone or by each creditor. Also XXXX is refusing to give the statements to prove that these debts have been paid off to the creditors.

Lately I have been trying to anew my credit but was advised by amex gold card that I have a XXXX balance and that I have 2 more authorized users who's balances are line in the XXXX. First of all I am in Mississippi and I would doubt that I would have accrued XXXX in debt and to add 2 XXXX names to my card is absurd. I request for this issue to be resolved and for my name to be taken off the amex black list.

Complaint: American Express Account Services says that I owe a charge of XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX that has been in dispute since XXXX, XXXX. Throughout the year, this dispute has been ruled in my favor, however someone inside of AMEX continues to overturn the credit with a debit. I have provided them indisputable evidence that this was paid for, with the hotel invoice dated and stamped paid with the AMEX card. Between XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I had many conversations with them, uploading this document at least 3x. Finally, on XX/XX/XXXX, I was on a call with their 2nd level manager in Disputes, XXXX XXXX. He asked me to email the invoice to him. I did. He remarked that it was clear it was paid for. He then went through all the notes since XXXX which contained my call in conversations about this. He said that AMEX really messed up my account and continued to add debits and credits incorrectly He said that I owe nothing and that I will never be contacted by them again. He said he was adding a permanent credit which would take care of this forever. I asked him to conference in the Accounts team to let them know because I had low confidence that AMEX would never call me about this again. He said he would tryhe put me on hold and tried to conference me in but said that the accounts team would not participate in a conference call with me to resolve this. He assured me that he told them about this and that he has provided a permanent credit on my account, and that I would never be called again to collect this money. I asked for written documentation and he would not provide it. I asked him to reply to me email stating that this was closed and I no longer owe the money. He said he could not, but again assured me that I would never get a call. He said if they call again, to email him and or call him at his extension. XXXX ' and extension XXXX. This week, I received 4 calls from AMEX saying that I owe the money. Upon the first call, Monday, XX/XX/XXXX I sent XXXX an email telling him that I was contacted by them and that I owe the money. He did not reply. The next day I received another call and sent XXXX another email. He did not reply. This morning, I tried to look up AMEXs US Consumer Complaint contacts and there is none to be found. I found official complaint processes for XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX on their site, but nothing for the US. As a result, I sent an email to the Leaders of XXXX XXXX asking for their help to provide me with a high level US executive who can fix his companys internal issues and close my account out paid in full. I sent it to the following : XXXX XXXX Senior Vice President, XXXX Business and CEO, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Country Business Head, Global Corporate Payments, XXXX Mr. XXXX XXXX Head of Operations American Express Banking Corp . Nodal Officer Mr. XXXX XXXX XXXX Today, I received another call from AMEX stating that I owe the money. Just like all the rest of the agents, I have asked all of the customer service reps to read the prior notes and/or view the document that had been previously uploaded showing this is paid in full. I also asked them to review the previous notes with Ankit where resolution was provided. None of them would act on those prior notes. Today, Customer Service Rep XXXX ( ID XXXX ) promised me she would close this out. She asked for 2 hours to review the prior phone conversations with XXXX ( XXXX is on Medical leave ). She called me back and said she listened to the taped conversations with me and XXXX and acknowledged that XXXX resolved this issue, stating I do not owe the money. I asked her to act on itshe said she could not. I said what more do you needyou listened to a tape of your manager talking with me and stating that I did not owe the money. She said she could not act upon that and that I need to speak with XXXX whenever he returns. I asked her to forward me to AMEX official complaint department where I can log the complaint. She said that Im talking to the department and she will log the complaint for me. I asked her for a copy of my complaint so that I have a record of it. She said there is nothing she can provide me. I asked her for the name of a VP in charge of her department. She said she could not provide it. I explained to her that I will be filing a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX American Express Bluebird was doing systen updates and having trouble which I was unaware of at the time. During these system updates/failures I tried using my Bluebird debit card at a store, my transaction declined and I was unable to get my merchandise. Confused, because I knew I had plenty of money I tried signing onto the app, the app was down. Next ( within mins of leaving said store ) I went to an ATM to withdraw money, I tried to withdraw {$300.00} but was told I had insufficient funds and could not do so. About a half hour after this hsppened I was finally able to get online and check my balance and transactions. Thats when I realized I was charged for the store transaction as well as the ATM Transaction. I called the bank and was told It happened to msny people not just me but that I would have to dispute those charges. It has now been 3 days later and I can not get them to send me the proper paperwork to have the issue fixed. Ive had to ask twice to have them send it to the correct email!

Complaint: I've been attempting to link my debit card as a funding source to my Bluebird account, I'm receiving an error message stating to check the CID number ( security code ) and or billing address, which are both correct and match billing statement. Prior to this, a block or restriction was placed on account preventing the card from being linked. Supposedly, this block was removed as per a XXXX XXXX. It does not appear it was removed and customer service reps only offer varying reasons for error, none of which make sense. Reasons include ... .. I need a dollar on my account as a one time transaction or processing fee, that part of the system is down for maintenance, my bank does not allow my card to be added which it was prior under a different card number. Previously, card ending in XXXX was in fact on file as a funding source, the card was removed as it was reported lost/stolen. I am attempting to add card ending in XXXX, it is saying I need to verify billing and or CID number which both match ... Complaint: In XX/XX/2018 .... American Express closed my two accounts stating payments were not being made to the accounts. Which my payment historys showed various payments to both accounts. Upon the accounts being closed American Express failed to send a final bill. After reporting this I recived a letter of apology. Again no final bill recived. American Express proceeded derogatory marks on my credit report about late payments, which the accounts were closed with no final bill received. Again I filed a complaint which American Express replied they no longer overseen the account since XXXX. Moving forward to contact credit collecting agency which has the accounts. Which I have done. American Express again made derogatory marks again increasing the amounts due. Again I filed a complaint and recived a letter that another credit collection agency is overseeing the the matter they have no control. Which has a different agency! Upon closure of the accounts Account ending # XXXX transferred to XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2018 {$960.00} Account ending # XXXX transferred to XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2018 {$320.00} American Express no longer handles accounts but will not remove derogatory marks Recently received a letter from another agency with different amounts. The account was closed due to the fact my business lost a recently obtained contract and Im having to adjust my lifestyle and move. Because of this I had to cancel my account. I sent a payment yesterday and today I was checking the remaining balance to be paid off before the due date of XX/XX/2018. I saw I had a negative Memberahip Rewards balance of XXXX XXXX. The card came with a sign up bonus of XXXX points after spending {$10000.00} in the first XXXX months which I did. One attaching the statement which clearly shows spending above the requirement. The points were posted when I met the spending and I transferred them to the airline of my choice. Im respectfully requesting the membership balance be updated to get out of the negative, since it was at XXXX points yesterday. Ive never had this sort of problem with Amex and I hold several of your cards which I enjoy using and Im an advocate of. I called and spoke with XXXX and then XXXX at the Memberahip Rewards Department. They agreed on a recorded line that I had met all the requirements of the spending and that I shouldnt have a negative balance. As a long time loyal customer Im asking you to do the right thing. Otherwise Ill be forced to close all my accounts with you and move my spending to somewhere else. I sincerely hope your company values their customers and doesnt see us as just numbers. Thank you.

Complaint: In good faith, rough draft abstract, and with all due respect, I have made payment to my XXXX ( XXXX ) American Express XXXX " XXXX '' ) on about XX/XX/XXXX via our new bank, XXXX XXXX. Payment instruments were XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX 's checks, first thought to be XXXX money orders, since we did not have new bank account checks issued for our new accounts. Prior to XX/XX/XXXX I was unaware of my payments missing if not for XXXX 's rude staff being extremely, unprofessionally, and immaturely disrespectful to my fiancee by phone. Since then per our legally documented calls, XXXX has been unfairly rude, though less so upon me calling XXXX personally and especially after I reported said credible warranted concerns regarding missing payments and disrespectful XXXX staff. For context, please note that I have been an XXXX card holder for over 10 years in good standing without even XXXX late payment. Prior to current membership, I was an XXXX cardholder over over 10 years after I voluntarily cancelled my numerous accounts in XXXX prior to the American Great Recession. In footnote, I am a survivor of identity theft as my XXXX Alerts on my credit reports affirm. Since in good faith we made payment on time with XXXX, it is reasonable to expect as an equal human being for us to be treated with equal respect, including while we provide XXXX Bank the necessary industry standard time to research the missing payments. XXXX does not want to hear it. treating us as if we are criminals and have a chronic history of late payments or fraudulent claims with XXXX. We reserve the equal right to permit XXXX bank the necessary time to complete its investigation, including who cashed the payments, for it could easily be XXXX, for they are not moral saints incapable of making mistakes. Either way, XXXX promised not to charge any late fees, but they lied. Then upon question only credit the fee with the XXXX XXXX. While the XXXX XXXX is still pending a late waiver I cancelled the card without XXXX even trying to respect and preserve the professional relationship despite my incontrovertible innocence. Missing payments is not a crime. Moreover, XXXX is wrongfully demanding full payment on the account even on new XXXX card charges as if we owe XXXX of thousands of dollars. In fact the XXXX balance is {$210.00} excluding the {$27.00} late fee. And the XXXX XXXX is {$810.00}, when in fact the missing payment was only {$210.00} and change that was paid {$250.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. And the only payment due this cycle is {$450.00}, though XXXX is demanding all payment. Again, treating us as criminals. And as if XXXX has the right to disrespect us as if we are unworthy of respect and our equal humanity and rights.

Disputes Dept keep filling the dispute under the wrong tag refund to customer, credit to customer, returned merchandise. To mention a few. Finally after i appealed it many times it's filled the right way. Since XX/XX/18 Serve disputes Dept charged XXXX 's back for {$110.00} which XXXX 's had been claiming they returned the funds to Serve that day. My account was never credited. I got paid that same day. I then used another source of payment. Later on that day i realised that my account was {$700.00} short and the payment was indeed accepted, but it was not in the dealerships ledger. I then contacted American Express customer service and i could not get any information on my account because their " system was down ''. My {$700.00} has been on hold for 3 days. I contacted American Express again this morning and they continued to tell me my money is on hold through an automated system and there is nothing they can do about it. I have car payments and bills, {$700.00} is a lot of money that i need right now, not in 7 days.
