Complaint: signed up for a payment plan, I was told by the sales person that if i was approved i had the option of paying in 3 months no interest, but if i wasn't done paying in 3 months, I would just have to make monthly payments until the balance of my item was paid off including a small interest rate. I called to check my balance since the item I purchased was only about {$600.00}, and I have been making XXXX payments for the last 6-7 months. I was told that my current balance was over {$1000.00}. I asked the phone representative how was that possible if that wasn't what I was told. He said well did you read the agreement, I told him no because I wasn't allowed to read it by the sales person. The sales person handled everything for me and only had me sign once everything was complete. I wish I would of read all these bad complaints before because it seems it has happened to a lot of people in a similar manner. It makes it seem like they all omit the contractual obligation since i don't think anyone would actually agree to a 100 % interest rate.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: XXXX Friday, 2017. I went to purchase a new couch. Was told 90 days, no pre-payment penalty. No credit checks, no harassment. 1 monthly payment..
You can pay it off at anytime. {$850.00}, not a penny more I was told.. signed and written by the store 's owner/general manager.
XX/XX/XXXX the couch was delivered after paying the {$42.00} first required payment.
XX/XX/XXXX, I see a deduction from my checking account for {$78.00}!
XX/XX/2017 Withdrawal ACH SIMPLE ACIMA XXXX I was like? Excuse me, hold up! Whats this? Less then 10 days ago, I was delivered the couch and was told once a month around the XXXX of the month. So I called, they apologized. It was set up for bi-monthly. I see you owe $ XXXX! WHAT?? I agreed to {$850.00}. oh, we see that, but thats not calculating our finance charges and lease agreement fees.
I was clearly told 90 days, {$850.00} within the 90 days. Not {$1700.00}.
So one XX/XX/XXXX I raised XXXX with the company, and verbally asked them to cancel this out. Close the account, I aint doing all this. I was told, I must put it in writing I can email it too them. So I did. I've emailed them XXXX times since XX/XX/XXXX, all asking the same thing. CANCEL this out!
Well, XX/XX/XXXX, they attached a lease for the {$1700.00} to my EXPERIAN credit!
I've tried 3x 's disputing this through XXXX. Was told, I needed to contact you all.
The company refuses to cancel this out. The company wants 40 % of a lease amount, I never agreed to pay, for them to pickup the product.
Company refuses to cancel this out.
Company refused to debit my checking account once a month, as agreed upon!
Company refuses to talk with me.
Company doesn't care what the store promised me, thats not on them.
Company still is harassing me with " we will post this as derogatory onto your credit '' ( ALREADY HAVE ) We will charge this off.
Company ignores every request to pickup couch without my agreement to pay 40 % of the " leased '' amount! I'm not paying $ 700+ when all I should of paid was {$850.00} over the last 3 months.
I called to get this resolved over 17 times since XX/XX/XXXX. Told I needed to speak to collections and respond via email. Only responses I get from them are generic.. See below.
( Dear XXXX XXXX, This letter is your FINAL NOTICE to resolve your PAST DUE account with Acima Credit or your account will be CHARGED-OFF. Sincerely, Acima Credit XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX This email was sent by Acima Credit LLC ) I respond..
I have made numerous responses, since XXXX to have you all CANCEL this contract & PICKUP your couches. PLEASE DO SO! If you all had respect, or customer service, you'd return a phone call or would of responded to the numerous requests I've made asking for " management '' to call me.
Their automated response ...
To Whom It May Concern : You have received this email because you requested a pick-up of the leased merchandise listed in your Lease-Purchase Agreement with Acima Credit. In order to initiate the pick-up process and discontinue payments on your account, please do the following : 1 ) Send pictures of all the merchandise to XXXX 2 ) Include all your contact information in the email Acima will contact you within 72 hours upon receipt of your email during the business week. If Acima initiates a pick-up, please be aware that you will be responsible to pay the Minimum Lease Term of 60 days, any Other Charges due ( as stated in your Lease Agreement ), and any past due balance of your account.
Thank you for your business.
Regards, Acima Credit -- Again, I only agreed to {$850.00}, over 3 months.. Not the harassment on my credit. The refusal to comply on their end. I'm not paying a dime more then {$850.00}, which I'm willing to do, the minute the company agrees to remove all the BULL XXXX from my credit.
I still don't feel the need to even do that, when I, within my right to cancel requested this to be cancelled. But the companies refusal only shows their willingness to XXXX me, and what has to be others like me.
PLEASE HELP!

Complaint: I walked in to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and picked out a coach, two dresser and a sectional which came to {$1500.00}. I was offered a sale price because the business was closing and told that with {$40.00} down I could setup delivery for the items and make installments for XXXX until the balance was paid through a company they used for financing called XXXX XXXX. I paid the XXXX dollars and applied on line at the store. I was approved for much higher then I needed but only purchased the items I picked out. I received an email to approve the transaction of XXXX bi weekly and was asked for my bank account information. apparently there was a 90 days same as cash option that they interest rates would have cost me an extra XXXX dollars after that and continuing to make the bi -weekly payment it would cost me another 1500 dollars plus. I contacted the company about a week ago to say Zi should have paid this off a long time ago and they told me there was no credit that the exact amount I had paid prior to my inquiring about the over charge was all of a sudden the exact amount I owed once you add the XXXX dollars I paid originally. The company was XXXX XXXX and they change there name to Acima. There was no message sent to me about the hike after the 90 days. I asked for proof by way of signed docs that I was aware of the hike and Acima sent my a non digital stamp pdf format made up signature that was not handwritten or date stamp for when you do an electronic signature. The correspondence emails and statement of accounts are attached. This was definitely a scam from the store sales person to the finance company. I paid for the furniture twice and gave a tip.
